How can you tell if an enemy port has the clan resources. e.g. how can I tell if an enemy port has a teak forest or a live oak forest? I only see the missions come up in friendly ports.

There is always a solution. 

We will see what this patch give to the server. Think the RvR guys got: ports that matters. They got Wm restricted so you can-t buy for dbl. Damage model that favors big ships, restricted acces to important woods/upgrades. So I expect to see a lot of RvR. And if I remember right, you once told RvR guys also bring more OW PvP. So all should be fine now.

Oak/oak god now. So devs screwed up on limited woods. Thought the plan was the best should be restricted so it was worth fighting over. Are you telling me i dosent matter? Well this is for sure a patch that favors the elite, but might be what the game need.

Btw you can not do trade missions if i got it right unless you are friendly with the clan that owns the port. I just tjecked out DK-Ng. Cag and Sab but not as permenant ports. I simply can not see any combo that will be ass good as teak/ teak ore teak/wo. But hey ppl won't care as long they just can build a ship.

Well it is a game changer and maybe the next step to make this game a clan game. 

Would i help out a clan in the nation defend there ports and they get all the spoil. Nope is the answer. But on the otherhand all those doing nothing well they neither get anything. Seams fair enough.

The changes to ROE have damaged the "safe" zones of capitals.  On my way with my Endymion from Belize, I passed through the K/PR region, and came across a Post Captain and a Captain of the BCC clan fighting a French Navy Brig.  (They were in an LGV and a Rattlesnake Heavy.)  Due to the BR difference, even though it was in the reinforcement zone, I was able to join at around the 10 minute mark.  This essentially ended up being a "gank" served up in the reinforcement zone, made possible by the BR-based ROEs.

The lack of nuance in the trading system is a glaring error. Historic items that sell for 4500 can now be hauled for 6 hours for a whopping profit of 11000. Think about this...Welcome to our game dear player, if you'd like to make a living trading you can stare at the back of your ship for 6 hours and make 2.5 times what you spent...Goodbye dear player. Really? You are forcing one account players out of this aspect of the game. Just go back to the original method because the more you change it the more screwed up it becomes.

to be fair @rediii I do think a wood balance is in order to make other woods more appealing.

so the values are diminished due to new combat model.

I want to know what the great Rediii and HAVOC plan to use for wood.

@admin What will be the rotation time for ports offering transport missions for exotic woods?

Is it gonna be permanent amount of ports, with new one spawned as soon as one of current ones is depleted?

Is there gonna be some script for selecting the port? Any preferences? (f.e. the bigger the port, the more chances for beeing selected) Or that's gonna be completely random?

It's not about the clan or the demands.  They are fine.  It's the friend list that is insufficient.

Too may times small clans are removed from the list or cannot get on because there isn't room.

Because only the elite clans can reliably stay on other elite clan's friendly list.  Small clans have little chance simply because of the limits of the list.

That's exactly what I'm talking about.  The list is full.  To add another you would have to remove one.  It seems like most of the ports on the map are owned by clans who's lists are full.

What random ports? all ports have a clan.  So would all wood not be restricted?

Who will be on the friend list? Any cassual clans/single players?

As I see it soon we will have nations that not have acces to the best upgrades and woods. You proved with the dutch that without you still can get to your goal. Be lets be honnest, it was not because you won many Pb's, more because BF got tired of fighting.

So what you say is that wood type dosent matter anymore?  A wipe reset it for a short time and then some will have it and some will not. But in your opionion a cag/sab is a fine match against a teak/wo in RvR with the new damage model. A Fir/oak, sab/fir fir/sab in a fine ship to take to a OW fight against a teak/teak with the new model.

I stand by this patch favors the elite. Nothing wrong with it. If this is what bring back fun fights and RvR.

In all fairness lets see in a couple of month. before the friend list had only influence if ppl could join a pb. lets see when ppl start taking out ressources.

So far I enjoyed the patch. One of the better patches I have ever seen. There seems to be few problems, which will be fixed.

I loved the "TIPS" section on the menu, it is very good, should be improved further.

I loved to see more small enemy NPC around KPR, very good for new guys.

I loved Group Kill mission, some are really absurd balanced but I guess it will be fixed, a mission with good reward.

I hated stern and bow guns reversal as selection keys.

I hate to take weekly event missions, it should be like patrol event, active anytime in the week, or a selection tick box to make it active every week.

My first impression is very good patch, much better than "expecting the worst"

The "Constitution Note" is mis-labled in the Admiralty.  It should say purchase "USS Constituion Note" for 7500.

I think the hold spaces need to be increased to accomodate the doubling (in case of lineships) of repairs needed.

If I pay the 50k doubloons, what happens next????  This is not clear to us.  Do we need to be the clan that owns the port in order to receive the Teak.  Where will the Teak appear and when?  Is this the only such Teak mission in the entire map?

I made about 10k in 3 hours mainly sailing afk on my alt. You can take multiple missions and even when you have taken 10 you can still get more by abandoning missions as it still allows you to deliver and claim the reward. So your only limitation is the number of hold spaces you have and finding enough missions going to the same area.

That's not bad, at all. Though if I understand the mission descriptions correctly, if enough people start doing those, you'll run into the issue where someone with a head start already took the same mission and you get nothing? Or does "if someone else delivers it" refer to getting captured, your "cargo" looted, and an enemy player delivering it instead?
