  1. Exactly! Whoever wants, feel free to start hostility on Aves
  2. @Thonys yeap, that was CLEARLY against PRIVs. It was PRIV who hello kittyed up Polish nation, waaaaaaaaaay before Prussians even turned their eyes to Guayar. So @ScipioTortuga was right here. Polish SOLs weren't there for Prussians. They were there against PRIVs. And if not the fact that it was actually SNOW PB rather than PRIV's it would turn out completely different, rather than those ridicoulus "fights" around. We even wanted to purchase an advert like this in the "Gazette":
  3. The thing is, they were not ganking them in THEIR waters This is the picture from Terre de Bas area (You can see Swedish building models for the city), exactly on the time the Ruatan PB was happening That would be an easily half of the PB fleet if they wish... But hey, why fight an equal fight if You can gank with 8 people
  4. Why go to PB if You can gank?
  5. EDITED, AND NINJA DELETED Greg did it better
  6. Game Labs version of Black Friday Instead of discounts - You need to regrind all the stuff You had! OFF TO WORK, SLAVE!
  7. And don't forget the new wood! Let's rebuild all the ships, with new seasoned wood, giving You even 10% more extra HP!
  8. @Winterthrust well, to be fair there is no PvE RvR, so this time You kinda missed the point This is all about the PvP here
  9. Promise an introduce of 2 new 3rd rates! Make them useless with even more 20k port battles!
  10. @z4ys Tell me, how the hell I was supposed to check the closing timers when I was inside the battle to test them out? Therefore, everything You build this reply on is simply wrong. We knew how to beat it. And according to this post: Show where its mentioned in that topic, that there is a difference in the closing time of the PB? You're just ridicoulus.
  11. It might be. But that's how I feel know, and I'm not gonna pretend. Sorry.
  12. So as difference about when the PB is getting closed CANNOT be found there, and we couldn't know about it, You're going to refund the cost of repairing the New Barcelona, right?
  13. So, after a joke that developers offered us today, I went very carefully through both of the official topics about this stupid mechanic which was introduced. Please show where the hello kitty is ANY mention about changes to the battle timing, where is it closed and etc. We were told to prepare, we were told to learn the way how to beat it. So we did. And we had a fleet waiting outside to join, as would we do in a defensive PB. But then, suddenly the battle was instantly closed. Dear @admin if You'd actually EVER participated in PB, You probably would know, that if You defend, most of the time the fleet waits outside, with only one or two players joining first to "scout" and the rest of defending fleet joins later. That's how we learnt to do it for years, and that's how we wanted to do it today. That's how majority of PB's happen in that game. But for absolutely no reason, and without any actual warning, this new bullshit mechanic changes the worked out, and tested mechanic we all know. Where the hell was ANY information, that when the battle starts, it actually CLOSE?! This absurd lack of competence costed us tremendous amount of goods (650 CM, 260.000 Doubloons) simply because You never learnt how to make a proper patch notes. They were ALWAYS some ridiculous general guidance, without any details, and it was always our job to find it out. And it was (barely) acceptable when it came to a new things. But this time, it hello kittyed up badly hours of our work, simply because You have no idea how to manage Your game. Why does it even exist? Do You know that You can't be screened out of defensive PB? The mechanic that YOU created, gives us 30 sec immunity after leaving the docks, and another 8 when attack timer is on. Tell me You can't reach the joining spot within 38 seconds. Really, sometimes it literally feels like You guys never play Your own game. This is just absurd. Not to mention how stupid was the idea of "David vs Goliath" scenario. Who was dumb enough to think it's a great idea? You really think, that if even that would be technically possible to screen defenders out, like You wanted (see above) can You imaging what would happen if smaller nation would prevent BF from defending New Orleans against NPC? Pretty sure Revers would attack the very next day f.e. Bridgetown, if that would be French who would be bold enough to screen them out in NO. Very great idea. Well done. And oh! By the way! You can't really capture a port lost by NPC raid, You know? You implemented Frontline mechanics, which actually make only DUTCH beeing able to get hostility missions for port that was lost today. Again, do You even play Your god damn game? You can tell the fairytales about "player base is constant", but open Your eyes, or start actually checking Your facts. Count how many "alts" were bought in the meanwhile. So if Your player count stays at the same time, despite multiple people getting an alt, the outcome is quite clear - You're loosing Your players on a constant basis. You have no clue how to manage that game, and add some unfinished ideas, which noone asked for, while we wait for almost half a year to fix the broken BR that so many people were asking for quite a while already. I won't even go with the list of the clans who used to be major powers in RvR and they are completely gone. But You still trying to fool us, that "playerbase" is the same. You know, this game is a bloody narrow and tight community. After that time, we pretty much know each other, and who are we playing with or against. And everyone around knows how many old, veteran players can't be found in the game anymore. No matter on the same side or on the opposite side. So, getting to an end. The bullshit NPC raid mechanics was introduced wrongly, and without a proper information or detailed patch notes. Uninformed change of Port Battle closing mechanic costed SNOW loosing a port, and the loss of 650 CM, 260.000 Doubloons and 260 VMs. It's clearly Your fault, because of the specific change which prevented us to defend the port - with 2 people scouting in, and 8 people waiting outside to join "closed" battle. So I would personally expect we will see the lost goods in the "Compensation" tab in rewards soon. The only explanation of not providing us the compensation is the direct link to any of Your post, dear @admin where it is a slighest clue, that the battle closing will be different for those PB's. And foreseeing some ridicoulus answers - when we were actually testing it out, we were INSIDE the battle, so couldn't really check how long will it be open, right? Especially if we wouldn't have ANY idea that it's gonna work differently. Otherwise, I'm afraid Your lack of competence, just costed You another lost players in the game, cause few of us, don't really feel interested in putting extra hours of work to fix Your lack of communication or competence. Best regards, Van OjK
  14. Oh hello kitty off... It's already way too grindy to participate in RvR. If You make it more grindy, even less players will bother. Why did we call off the attack on Santa Marta yesterday? Cause we were 3-4 ships short, and decided that it will take way too much time to rebuild the ships we brought. If the things would be like in the past, we wouldn't bother. We would join, probably die, but at least have some fun. Now, we just sailed back home, because even those 2 hours lost on doing absolutely nothing, is nothing compared to amount of time which would require every one of us to build a new ship of the line for future fights. The RvR is so broken with those overinflated BR limits, that even "used-to-be-second-biggest-nation" can't really compete with the Russian zerg. Way to go, definitely.
  15. After few Steam restarts it did work...
  16. Day like every day. Been there, done that yesterday. Now stuck today as well.
  17. That was pretty much the plan To show admin how people would be happy with such changes
  18. Captains! Next patch will make some big overhaul towards the endgame content of RvR. We're aiming to provide more tactical experience, where every port counts, and where every battle might be different. Here are the patch notes for upcoming changes: 1) Battle Rating lowered, and varied All ports BR have been significantly lowered to very the gameplay and make it more in line with historical accuracy. "Trafalgar-like" battles will be held only on well prepared attacks on the best ports in the game (the 55 upgrade points). BR for each port could be increased by up to 20% by attacking side with proper preparation, which will be discussed later in that post. Base BR for ports with 55 points - 9800 BR Base BR for ports with 50 points - 7840 BR with limitation of maximum 2nd rate ships beeing able to enter, with one 1st rate allowed as a flagship Base BR for ports with 40 points - 5880 BR with limitation of maximum 3rd rate ships beeing able to enter, with one 2nd rate allowed as a flagship Base BR for ports with 30 points - 3920 BR with limitation of maximum 4th rate ships beeing able to enter, with one 3rd rate allowed as a flagship Each of the value can be raised by preparation, up to respectively 11760, 9400, 7050, 4700. Of course, BR limits for shallow ports will be lower, but designed in the same way - with smallest shallows beeing a place for a rather 10v10 battle, while only Nassau beeing able to hold all 25v25 battle. 2) Conquer stages To capture a port, a nation will have to follow few stages, while defenders will be able to interfere with the preparation at all of the stages. - Stage 1 - Planning and hostility Old-school mechanic of hostility missions. If Hostility will be succesfully raised towards 100%, the invasion preparation begins. At this point, defender cannot change the timer of the port anymore, until the invasion won't be cancelled or repelled. - Stage 2 - Preparation When a nation decide to attack the port, they have to make a proper investments towards it. In line with the Frontline mechanic, they have to deliver to the port allowing the attack proper amount of troops in preparation for the attack. Regiments of troops will be available to purchase in any port hold by the nation for at least 2 weeks, their capital, or a free port if nation does not have any of the above. Every nation will have their own regiment "goods" so it won't be available to purchase invasion troops by an alts, by trading from different nation, or capture them from enemy ships. However, if You manage to capture a transport ship with regiment troops, You can always sell it in a free port for a "ransom" from releasing the prisoners. Amount of the Regiments required to launch the attack, will vary depending on the quality of the attacking port, with 55 points requiring most troops prepared for the invasion. Price of the Regiments will also be variable, and will be raised by 50% percent of base cost for each failed offensive Port Battle, as morale of troops will get lowered and they will require higher wage. Price will also drop by 5% per day, which mean after 10 days of unsuccesfull attack, soldiers will already forget about a loss and will be eager to fight again. However, attacking again just after hostility lock wears off, will require invading force to commit 40% more resources, and more if a third, fourth, etc attacks will be issued. Preparation stage takes 2 days, when attacking side will try to deliver troops required for invasion, while defender will have a chance to stop the transports, and sink them before they reach the port which prepares the attack. When attacker delivers 100% of required amount, the Port Battle will be set in the middle of the selected timer (f.e. timer of 18-21 will set a PB at 1930). Even after delivering the required amount, the extra deliveries can be made to increase the BR of the Port Battle. Bringing 150% of required amount of troops will resul in 20% increased BR of the port. - Stage 3 - Port Battle Nations participate in the Port Battle. If attacker wins, he takes over the port. If defenders win, the clan owning the port will have an option to either receive Doubloons as ransom for captured troops, or deny it, which will increase another 20% raise of the regiment price of attacking nation. 3) Garrisons Nation will be able to set up some of the cities as "Garrisons" for the specific county. Garrisons will be port patrolling the waters of the county, succesfully preventing an attack against other ports in that nation. Nation will be able to choose up to 2 ports per county, each with significant maintance cost (150k per day). To have an equal battle for ports beeing protected by Garrisons, attacking side will need to first take them out. Every active Garrison will reduce the amount of BR available for protected ports by 10%, but the battle for Garrisoned ports will always be equal. Example: Santo Domingo is Garrisoned by Bani and Higuey. The base BR for Santo Domingo is 9800 BR. If a nation decides to attack it straight away, it will have to fight a battle of 9800 vs 7840 (10% BR penalty for each garrison) After taking out Higuey, they will have an option to either attack Santo Domingo in 9800 vs 8820 battle, or take out Bani as well, in order to get an equal battle for Santo Domingo. SIDE EFFECTS OF IMPLEMENTING THE CHANGES: - Easier acces to PB's for lower rank players - Multiflipping beeing a costly action - Continous, unsuccesfull attacks will snowball the price of each other invasion - Varied battles with many more ships beeing RvR-able - More tactical gameplay - Possibly more Port Battles, as some of them would take place in ports a nation "can-afford-to-loose" rather than beeing "Life-death" scenario A day of implementation is unknown.
  19. Oh yeah, @Batman earned a real Order of Defence for the precision he covered Dark with his own body! Well hello kittying done!
  20. I must say, that with all the changes the game had in last half a year, the ratio of time required to invest to the game to amount of fun You can have went totally wrong. Amount of time required to build a proper ship and equip it is so vast, that if You loose a ship in a Port Battle, it means You'll need to spend tens of hours to get it back. And even the type of ship in the PB changed for worse - now You need to bring L'Ocean almost every single time. Winter 2018, we had a nice balance, when 3rd rate ships were the backbone of the fleet, so You could afford participating PB without some big sacrifices. Now, we were forced to switch to much bigger and much more expensive ships, and also their price (or time required to craft and equip) were increased a lot as well. So barely 2 months after release, and we are down to the same numbers of players online like before. It's the best example that something went completely wrong. Maybe it's time to reconsider some way of "keeping" the ship after it got sunk? For example, if You loose a 1st rate, it's in the 7 day cooldown for "reconstruction" If You loose 3rd rate, it goes on 5 day cooldown. Current system, where a ship You spent 20 hours can be lost in 30 minutes is simply bad.
  21. They normally do. It's only Leogane and La Mona, where they don't count, as it is cosidered "Frigate Patrol" And no, don't ask me why Agamemnon and other 4th rates are eligible for Frigate Patrol, despite they can't be consider Frigate.
  22. Also, if the fact is battle going to be visible in OW depends on some artificial 13% value, how about we get the AI fleet total BR value visible? How can I know will the battle be visible in OW if I see f.e. only "2 Medium Ships in Fleet" where the span of it's BR could be from 400 to 100 BR points?
  23. Well, here I can see completely different problem. My idea was to attack stronger target, get battle closed and just play it out, as after 2 minutes it won't be visible in OW. If every battle NOT within 13% is visible for 20 minutes, it's like a huge mark on OW saying "COME HERE AND GANK ME WHEN I'M FINISHED!" Which after all will make me just even more restricting with picking up targets...
