  1. Don't force PVE on people. I would say cadets have a choice to start on the PVE server with the option to transfer their stuff later, upon passing the exam, to the PVP server. But also allow them to start on the PVP server maybe signing an agreement knowing they can be attacked.
  2. I'll agree with that. Personally I loved getting lost, magic moment for me when you find out where you are. But not everyone is me. Maybe for the first rank, 15 min cooldown, second rank 1 hr cooldown. But then again alts can exploit this :/
  3. Sigh, the gap between the casual player and the hardcore player just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
  4. They are working on an in game tutorial, I believe.
  5. Or maybe have an admirality at Shroud Cay. Isn't that where they start if it's a new player?
  6. Yes to buy contracts. But I also like AI ships in the shop. It keeps costs down (ie is that 2 mil ship worth it if you get a similar, but not as good, ship for 500k etc) and for a casual player, losing a ship and not being able to replace it means their game time is over.
  7. Thanks for making me laugh out loud But I agree, if you want completely safe trade, do so on the PVE server.
  8. As to all nations having capitals, some players like having no safe zone and the possibility to be reduced to nothing. If you want to have a safe zone and a capital, choose a nation that has one.
  9. I didn't get my non-redeemed aggies from Global either but I still have 2 on EU to redeem. You can have them if you want, pm me.
  10. Did the redeemables we had on Global transfer over? I should have more forged papers but it's no big deal as I do not plan to use them.
  11. Not saying you are wrong, but do you know the game was built on the 'just fight'. Missions were added later.
  12. If you sail alone, sail the right trade ship, don't expect to trade outside safe zones in Indianmans or even Trader Brigs. Since I started playing again on EU since the wipe, I've been making money trading (I hate missions) doing Gustavia to Christensed (as a pirate) trade runs in a Traders Lynx when I feel like taking a risk (otherwise La Mona to that one port on the North side, can't remember what it's called). Haven't been caught yet, been tagged plenty of times. Unless there are people sailing Lynxs around (which you never see) a traders Lynx is impossible to catch unless you are sailing AFK.
  13. They removed the chat logs from the pc as some clan used it and their large number of alts to record & share other nations chats.
  14. Oh my, cannot wait. Will have to learn to sail from scratch (well not quite) again starting in smaller ships & working my way up.
  15. Russia does have some cool players. I have a few friends in Russia. Personally, if I do not stay Pirate, I'm going Polish. But good luck to you all!
  16. I get what the EU pop is saying, they are afraid US players will set their defensive timers at unreasonable times for EU players to attack. But as the global community is joining the EU server, they will have to take those ports first before they can set the timers. So unless a large US pop (other than privateers like myself) play on EU, I don't see a big problem. Just be ready to defend your important ports so they cannot be flipped and timers switched. I just feel bad for those that will have horrid ping.
  17. I will probably switch to whatever nation keeps the fewest dots. Just as long as the nation chat is English as I am not fluent in any other language. On topic: I do feel sorry for those guys with 400+ ping.
  18. You don't need missions to gain XP. If missions are too difficult, try hitting some ships on the open world. Yell out in nation chat to see if there are others who want to do missions with you (there are plenty of people doing missions, hopefully someone will be nice enough to let you join in).
  19. It's goods not gods. Although I'll take Tom Hiddleston showing up in my warehouse But yes, some extra management would be nice.
  20. Amen! I would be for open timers if it's added that if you are not on the sea when the battle starts, you cannot get in, unless it's in a green zone. Also you would have to account for distance, I wouldn't want every entering player 10 minutes after battle starts to jump in on top. Personally I enjoy small battles & brawling.
