  1. Maybe PVP flags (like POTBS) on the PVE server? You enable it like the smuggler flag and if flagged you can be attacked by any player.
  2. Lol, my theory was land appeared on the distant horizon if you were out to sea. On the original topic, I kind of like the gambling game. Something to do now and then on a longer trip. But I’d also like to see Pray brought back.
  3. I just wish they would fix the mini game of whoever clicks at the last second is the winner. With my ping and internet lag even against AI I need to attack at the three second mark to make sure it registers. So there is no way I’m going to try boarding combat against another player.
  4. Aiming and the selectors are only in combat. The game use battle instances so once you find an enemy, click attack, and the battle instance starts, you can load cannons, aim, and shoot. These things are not available on the open world.
  5. Good ideas, I’ve also advocated for non combat missions like blockade runs in unarmed traders.
  6. I like the idea of having to have to sail around with your gold if you want to buy something, and losing it if you sink, but also being able to keep money in a warehouse for safety.
  7. I think some suggested before making different docking requirements based on rate. For example, 4th rate and below, 1 slot, 3 rate 2, 2nd rate 3, 1st rate 4, or something similar.
  8. I kind of like the idea of admiralty giving you 1 first rate a month. That way both casual players and hard core players can both sail them. Not everyone has the mega millions that those who play 15+ hours a week do.
  9. I have to say, I'm a casual player, playing only weekends. I love to PVP, even though I lose a lot, and I get money to buy ships from trading. I have yet to get captured trading and I never trade inside the green zone. There are plenty of less risk trade spots outside of the green zone.
  10. I would just like to see players having to protect their own nation's capital instead of AI. Only let low ranks have AI reinforcements as they are new and need the crutch. Create defensive PVP patrol missions. Keep the green zone battles open still for coast guards to enter the battles. Create more PVE content to get players numbers up. Think about content for those who only have 20 minutes to play. Bring in exploration missions as was proposed waaay long ago. Although personally I'd also like to revert repairs back to how they were long ago so maybe my ideas are bad :/
  11. But what about those that role play as privateers/trader hunters? Their play style has been killed. I haven't seen @Pagan Pete in ages. With a better UI and more content, the population should raise so traders can find escorts. Add to that coast guard missions to help those under attack.
  12. I know there are many posts but I just wanted to throw in my suggestion. Let me know what you think. Is it exploitable? (as I don't think my suggestions through that much) Just a few suggestions regarding safe zones: for those that want to hop on and casually PVE, make limited (say 2/day) missions that can be taken right from port where there is no chance of enemies joining. Then if they want to PVE more, they can take regular missions. Add PVP coast guard missions like the patrol missions, where you get points for sinking enemies around your capital. Then, my suggestion would be AI reinforcements for only lower rank players. Still keep open battle in green zones but higher rank players need help from coast guards in missions and attacks on OW.
  13. Maybe for those that just want to get on, play for an hour or so, and do some casual PVE my suggestion is make daily PVE missions that they can take right from port where no one can enter it. Limit it to 2 missions per day. If you want to PVE more than that, then you can take missions on the OW where there is a possibility of enemies joining. Then let safe zones be for lower ranks only. Just a suggestion. With a better UI and more content, there will hopefully be more population so traders can find escorts if needed.
  14. I agree with this. Although the game needs a bigger population for more to get trader escorts. Fix the UI, add more content, then maybe green zones will not be needed as much. Add coast guard defense PVP missions, along with other types of missions. Sorry for being off topic.
  15. Try the PVP missions. They stay open. I wish the PVP missions shared the same mechanics as open world attacks outside the event zone.
  16. Maybe bring back the small and large battles with no loss and also no reward?
  17. Personally, I've always been for multiple durabilities. I'd like to see the choice to select how many durabilities you have, up to 5, on crafting with more durabilities being more expensive. I'd also like to see repairs revert back to prior to being craftable. For the amount of time I play, I cannot keep up. But that's me
  18. I'm probably wrong, but you may be sailing too close to ports. If in enemy waters in a battle-built ship, stay away from coasts, hunt farther out.
  19. It's a trade ship, I believe, so can sneak in and out of enemy ports with smuggler unlike war ships.
  20. As a casual player, I'm more than happy to take their rewards. As ships appear to be assigned so you don't lose anything. Leave the paints and rare ships to events where you can lose ships?
  21. It's not like Great Britain doesn't have the numbers to escort traders or the area to trade elsewhere lol.
