Surcouf
The Bonhomme Richard is an old ship of the East India Company. They are not reputed for their speed! In addition, it is weighed down by additional artillery and by raising the poop. I do not think it's very efficient. But it is very beautiful vessel! George Washington
Montañés In 1795 she fought a French force of 8 ships of the line (including one three-decker) and 2 frigates single-handed in the bay of San Feliu de Guíxols. With 2400 copper plates on her hull, she was much faster than other ships of the same era, reaching 14 (rather than the average 10) knots downwind and 10 (rather than 8) knots upwind. Simply - Bad ass! Edited October 5, 2017 by George Washington

I would like to see the Danish-Norwegian Line ship - Norge (1801) 74 cannons, captured by GB in 1807. I know nothing about ships, but I found this ship thanks to springby's post. I only found some basic info about history and armament, but no ship plans.. https://milhist.dk/life-steen-bille-hohlenberg-norge-norges-sea-trials-danmark/ https://threedecks.org/index.php?display_type=show_ship&id=5577
Tiedemann
21 hours ago, Malachi said: Wouldn´t mind seeing this ship ingame...definitely something different. One sentence on the article: the author is correct by questioning Bille´s statement about the 'unprecedented' height of the lower battery of 6'. Hohlenberg´s friend and predecessor at the post of fabrikmester, Andreas Gerner, built ships of the line with a similiar freeboard. As did Hohlenberg´s other mentor, af Chapman (e.g. 7' 4'' for the Kronprins Gustav -class). Malachi posted this in another thread.
