Leviathan
Rattlesnake 1780/1781 Massachusetts Privateer Ship Rattlesnake was designed by John Peck of Boston, Massachusetts, and probably built at Plymouth in 1780.1 She was very lightly built and had no wales, and was reputedly very fast. Rattlesnake appeared as a miniature frigate, with detached quarterdeck and forecastle. http://www.awiatsea.com/Privateers/R/Rattlesnake%20Massachusetts%20Ship%20%5BClark%5D.html http://www.shipmodel.com/models/rattlesnake-privateer--- HMS Mordaunt just because it's a great looking ship Bonhomme Richard The first USS Bonhomme Richard, formerly Duc de Duras, was a frigate in the Continental Navy. She was originally an East Indiaman, a merchant ship built in France for the French East India Company in 1765, for service between France and the Orient. She was placed at the disposal of John Paul Jones on February 4, 1779, by King Louis XVI of France as a result of a loan to the United States by French shipping magnate, Jacques-Donatien Le Ray. http://www.shipmodel.com/models/bonhomme-richard-solid-h

Ink
Dutch!!! One day I dream to sail De Zeven Provinciën, but for now I suggest another one high res clickable pic under the spoiler The Delft was a Dutch 56-gun fourth rate ship of the line of the navy of the Dutch Republic and the Batavian Republic.Check the rest of wiki info under the spoiler The order to construct the ship was given on 27 May 1782 by the Admiralty of the Meuse. The ship was commissioned on 16 May 1783 by the United Netherlands Navy.On 24 December 1787 the Delft set sail on a mission against the Barbary pirates and protected Dutch traders in the Mediterranean. For the ship's second mission starting 31 May 1793 Theodorus Frederik van Capellen became the new commanding officer. During this mission 75 Dutch slaves were freed from Algiers. In 1795 the Dutch Republic was conquered by the French and the new Batavian Republic was founded. Delft was initially disarmed by the French (because they feared that it could be used by Orangist rebels) but the ship was later reactivated to participate in the war with Britain. Gerrit Verdooren van Asperen became her captain. On 11 October 1797 the Delft took part in the Battle of Camperdown. Despite heavy resistance the ship was captured by the British and sank off Scheveningen four days later while being towed to Britain.Since 2001 work had been underway in Rotterdam to build a replica of the Delft at Historical Shipyard Rotterdams Welvaren (Dutch: Historische werf Rotterdams Welvaren) in Delfshaven, near to the place where the original ship was built. There is an official museum of the ship - http://www.dedelft.nl/museum , which I hope will provide any info if needed. Also I've found some plans of ship called Delft (1797) at the Royal Greenwich Museums, althought there is a desription that "'Delft' (1797), a captured Dutch Third Rate, as taken off at Chatham Dockyard in May 1799" in the same time the wiki says Delft was a 4rd rate and "Despite heavy resistance the ship was captured by the British and sank off Scheveningen four days later while being towed to Britain." So there is some strange counter facts...I doubt there were two ships called Delft that fougth in the same year of 1797 and been sunk/captured by Britain...but who knows, maybe it was two different ships? Anyway, plans can be found here - http://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections/objects/81232.html and http://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections/objects/81233.html . But I think the best idea will be to ask official museum P.S: BIg Thanks to Alex Connor, this is another Dutch ship, 3-rd rate Hercules. Also here - http://forum.modelsworld.ru/topic8645.html - you can see a lot of pics of bulding the replica, I love the ship! and another beauty pic

But the Sophia Amalia was launched in 1650 putting her before the prefered timeframe... Whereas the Fredericus Quartus was launched in 1699 which is within the prefered limit. Balck
From a game-play stand point we are missing second and fourth rates as well as smaller ships to bridge the gap between snow and Surprise. Also, it may be appropriate to have the most numerous of the 74's, the French Temeraire Class. Not needed form a game-play stand point at the moment but a must have for the period. I'd throw my vote to the Christian VII for the second rate, gotta have some Danish ships. Mordaunt will look a bit aged next to the other ships in game. A razee may be an attractive option. Lastly, now that we have the armed snow we may need to have a brig-sloop to bridge the gap between her and the Surprise. Though past that point I don't think we have any other options to fill the gap.
Leviathan
A razee may be an attractive option. Razee you say... USS Independence was a wooden-hulled, three-masted ship, originally a ship of the line and the first to be commissioned by the United States Navy. Originally a 90-gun ship, in 1836 she was cut down by one deck and re-rated as a 54-gun frigate.

Robert Danforth
Somehow the quote part went away when I deleted the other parts of that post, but you get the idea. As another suggestion, I was going to say Ville de Paris (1764), but I can't find any ship plans for it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_ship_Ville_de_Paris_%281764%

OTMatt
1. Bonhomme Richard from the US. 40-58 Guns At time of sinking: 40 Guns 6x 18 Pounders 28x 12 Pounders 6x 8 Pounders Theoretical number that can be carrier is 58 max offering stern protection. I think its 16x 18 Pounders 10x 8 Pounders 28x 12 Pounders and 4 more ports "one pair afore the foremost guns near the bow and the other in the Great Cabin at the stern" http://www.shipmodel.com/files/bonhomme-richard-solid-h-webbonhomme-richard017.jpg Plans: http://ancre.fr/en/monographies-en/54-monographie-du-bonhomme-richard-1779.html Useful information: http://www.usna.edu/Users/oceano/pguth/website/shipwrecks/sailing_ships/Construction_lecture.htm 2. The Danish ship Christian VII 1767 with 90 guns would be my second choice, she is really beautiful just not as much as bonhomme richard.
