13.05.2017 18:16 server time Mortimer Town

Sell price of Provence Oak equal 1. Quantity of Provence Oak equal 58.

I don't understand why so low limit set for this oak.

For example

Quantity of Sussex Oak is 128 and sell price is 18362.

I saw one of those this morning - sailed through a small point and fort around Charlestown or Basseterre.

I grew tired of F11-ing them. Amphibious ships seem to be a regular problem.

I was curious about building a Niagara so I thought I would check out the craft recipe. But it's not on the list!

Like the Rattlesnake and Ingermanland, will we ever see the Niagara again?

Good thing I have one to test with from the store, but I would love to try some builds with these new woods of course.

Some ships just wasn't added yet and others are being worked on.   Ship crafting is not finished product on Testbed yet. Part of the reason I stopped testing until a full patch comes out with every thing or something majorly new.   It's not like the patch will make it to live by the end of the month any way.

Example from testbed: my mate was looking for bigger ship there was none in our nation ports so he sail as a smuggler to enemy port - found his ship, bought it and zonk. He can`t leave port in warship or basic ship. Ok - you can`t buy ships in enemy port. But even that he cant re-sale ship for similar price (220 k) shop offer him 8 (eight gold) - So he is left without money and possibility to leave port - this is one of example why people don`t bother. He just said: f*** this game and rage quit.

As I see it the point is not to nurture the we, the brave, the few, that can have everything. Plus knowledge is power, great that he discovered something that can't be done, I mean before proper release wipe :), now he knows he can't do that.

why?... so you can run conquest along Pacific coastline?

Yep. Shortcuts. It takes too long to sail to the Pacific right now in-game and I want to winter in Hawaii.

Only thig that is bothering me is the ability to get a smuggler flag with warships in fleet.

I like that you can't be a in a warship and smuggle, but I dont get why you can have them in fleet and still sail into enemy ports.

Smuggling enables extra trading opportunities, extra gold and/or rare ressources, in other words, more rewards.  The risks should reflect the rewards in my opinion.

Its a multiplayer game, you can ask for friends to scout and escort you while you sneak in port if you are trying to get the type of wood your nation has no access to to build your ships or share the profits of those easy trade mission so that you can afford to purchase your next ships. On the pve server you are safe anyways, so not a big change there.

I believe it's been like this on live server for a while.  You should not be able to buy a ship in an enemy port period.   Though what they should do is not allow you to buy them in the first place so you don't get stuck like this.

@JobaSet You found this out recently how did you get unstuck from the port?  You had to take the hit on the cost to sale to port right and than got out in a trader ships or was it the basic cutter let you escape?

But yah it shouldn't even allow you to buy in the first place.  That is why we need a good reputation system for both naval combat and trading.  So if you have bad trading rep you can't buy stuff in a port of that nation.  Though war ships should be locked out any way.  You want to buy them that is what a freeport is for if there isn't any in your own nation.  To trade and buy from another nation.

Okay, I understand the finanial loss, but are you saying you cannot leave an enemy port in a basic cutter? This surely needs to be fixed.

Yes, buying warships in enemy ports should be prevented, but I can think of other ways you might end up in an enemy port with only a warship, so the basic cutter option is a catch-all.

Next try enter the enemy port with a trader and then put the warship in your fleet (if you have the perk). It used to work in the good old days.

But how do you get out to go get a trade ship if you can't teleport out.

1.You can't teleport except between your national ports.

2. You can't add a fleet ship if you don't have an outpost there which of course you can't build in an enemy port.

3. There may not be a trader ship for sale in the port you're stuck in but even if there is, I don't think you can sail without the smuggler flag which can't be set except in your nation's or Freeport.

What am I missing? How does one get out?

Well somehow you must have entered that port in the first place.
If you entered it in a trader, I dont think you are able to sell that trader, as you would need to 'leave' the ship to do so, which is impossible.
If the port gets captured over night by an enemy nation, I think you are still able to leave the port in any ship. At least it used to be like that a few months ago. Not sure if it still works.

It hasn't happened to me yet but I believe on the testbed if you hit teleport to nearest deep water port, that could land you in an enemy port. Same if you get sunk.

The one time I've used tp to nearest port on the testbed I got teleported to outside the port, the dock.

And when being sunk, I think you'll get teleported into the nearest friendly (deepwater?) port
