Users should use in game parameters and not dig the code for something that might be old, or redundant or not working.

Anyone who have seen elite loki show have a knowledge that previous speed limit was 19+ knots. Old data reflected maximum allowed speed for any ship (npc or not). So if you say that speed limit is 17 knots without changing npc ships stats it makes additional confusion:)

Also, a flag could not be lost due to server issues except that you were deploying it by the exact time of the server crash @Knuddel

So I planted a flag: Now everyone is trapped in the battle. I am just pulling away in a fast ship while the 2 brits sit there downwind can do nothing and they cant even leave. We all have a timer cannot leave.

  • There should be a circle of doom
  • Defender side should be able to leave (obey to normal instance tagging mechanic)grafik.thumb.png.91bb1d5404a26b50b3783abc99a9fd41.png

So the thing that I see now is super fast trader lynx planting the flags. And no way to catch them in battle. Is this the way it's supposed to be?

And can't leave the battle? So stuck for 45 min ? (Not talking theory, I've been stuck in a 'battle' for 30 min now. 3 of us 'chasing' a traders lynx' )

I have a few problems with how the flags are posted. This is not a hate comment, just constructive criticism.

I think that the flag weight should be changed to at least 601. As it currently stands, the flag weighs 10 which means that any ship in the game is able to carry the flag. This results in players taking the smallest and fastest ships as flag carriers which is almost impossible to catch in the battle. If you happen to make the mistake of joining a battle that has one of these small ships carrying the flag, you will be forced to wait for 45 MINUTES until the battle ends. This is a complete waste of time for both players and could be solved by making the flag weight higher which forces players to take larger ships that would be able to fight and could be caught into the flag placing battle. 

Or another fix for this would be to make the battle like a patrol zone where a circle closes if an enemy joins the battle. This would fix the problem of small ships running away and would encourage the player to bring a larger ship into the battle which would be able to fight.

That happened to me was deploying when server crashed....no problem I still have 4 :)

I did F11 at the time ..couldnt plant flag

I think you're focused on criticizing the Devs on this positive change that you are unable to notice a clear typo. Perhaps you wouldn't have this problem you if you put the same focus on the trivial task of earning reals like everyone else does.

I want to report the clerk for spamming - Can the clerk pls be turned off during the testing or at least report only the ones that affect your clan or the notification made smaller?

current mechanics are there to stress test and find issues. 45 mins is one of the issues.
in the final version there will be a static circle of doom. Its just not there to see all possibilities.

Perfect!

What about that even the defender cannot leave the battle (only by surrendering, winning or losing)?

In my opinion only the flag carrier should be forced to either stay or surrender

Is there a way to disable the pop-ups in middle of screen (even in battle)? i been online 2 min and want to smash the computer.

I am no longer online (my wife says she loves you), computer is safe.

So, defender fleet should be composed of Lynxes and flag holder escort of Privateers. Great to know that finally, a use is found for 7th rates.

they joined in the worst spot possible in the circle.

one joins first then tells other where to join so they trap enemy inside.

imagine a 25x25 with positional spawn.

we had it in OW battles time ago :P

Only for now. Later I doubt that it will be meta.
