    Yes I know the BR is low, poor example but my point being that having a fleet will lower your available reinforcements. 2 Indiamen in fleet for example will drop your reinforcements significantly.

    Interesting ideas here Willis. But with this system wouldn't having 2 Trader Brigs in fleet actually get you less reinforcement protection because of their added BR?

    Interesting idea, as long as it's not mandatory I see no problem with it. Personally, I've paid a lot of money for a really nice graphics card and a system to utilize it. I want to see as much eyecandy as possible. But let's see if we can close the gun ports first.

    There is no need for punishment. An exploit has been found in a game that we are beta testing. Note the problem and fix it. Move on....

    Yes they do! You keep your gold and all of your ships if you move them to the Neutral outpost you've created.

    I see your point and agree that there is no economical difference for the Devs if you play this game for one month or for years. They still only have your initial $40. On the plus side I paid my money back in November 2016 and played the game a lot while recuperating from surgery from February until June. I couldn't play real extended times but it did keep me entertained for those months. I feel I got my nickles worth out of this game and whatever comes next is only gravy. Even after saying this I am still very frustrated and disappointed with the current state of this game. There was so much potential that seems to be slipping through the Devs fingers.

    Enough of the talking already, when is this patch supposed to drop? I feel like I'm just wasting my time reading these forums while getting my hopes crushed everyday lie a kid that has discovered that his Dad leaves the gifts on Christmas Eve and not Santa Clause. If there is no actual projected date can the Devs at least let us know that? Maybe I'll just check back on a monthly basis. Every time I send in the mortgage payment I'll sign onto NA to see if the patch has dropped.

    I wouldn't go so far as to call it an abuse. The pirates who were being chased lured an over confident foe into a trap and sprung it. (Classic move) Instead of getting all twisted about it, it should be used as a learning experience. (Mature move) I just learned something about how the circles are generated and so now has everyone else. I tip my hat to the gamers, be they Rat or Nat, who took the time to observe this and figure it out.

    Hey Willis, I'm always learning from your posts! Maybe I'm not experienced enough or just have poor observational skills, but how do you determine where the join circles are going to appear? Do they always appear North and south or East and West? Or is it determined by the heading of the tagging ship?

    I've no idea why it isn't being released immediately unless of course they are still just debating the concept of it and haven't programmed anything yet? Also I don't understand the whole "test bed server" concept. I always thought that all of the servers were test beds. We are still in early access aren't we?

    This....from the guy who won the take an LGV with a Basic Cutter contest. Obviously the guy has tons of talent with both seamanship and battle experience, and he has been driven from a game that he obviously loves. Congrats, well done.

    How about making these free ships untradable and also uncappable to prevent them being spammed everywhere?
