This doesn’t address the issue of not being caught. The risk is still lower than the reward. The only idiots that are getting caught are doing it right outside of capital regions. Trust me, they only catch at most 5 percent of alt farmers. Our open ocean is way too large for our population, and surely not everyone is that stupid.

Let’s all be honest here. Alt farming is at an all time high. Let’s also be honest with the whole tribunal report cases not fixing this issue. Sure individuals get banned, warned, etc. but hey, new alt new day. The chances of getting caught in such a large world with such a small population are very small. Granted the combat news makes it slightly easier to spot them. But not always. As we have seen sometimes we have false positive results where the combat news report is genuinely someone just killing a bunch of people. Is this a problem? I’d like to say yes. I dislike how people with alts can farm them for massive pvp marks, mainly because I don’t have any alts. But then part of me wonders if that’s just a perk you get when you spend another 40 bucks on the game, or a bit less when it’s on sell. Obviously the devs have condoned it. But the enforcement and ability to actually spot them effectively is not there. Combined with constant reliance on being in a top nation with resources and a need for pvp marks. It’s the perfect storm, so to speak, for alt farming, and it almost seems to be brewed up perfectly by the development of the game. My Solution: I know for a fact that the steam site, and just basic computer IPs will 9/10 times show that two accounts are coming from the same household. Sure you can change stuff around to get around that, but most people don’t. And there are other ways regardless of that to know. With this in mind I don’t see why It can’t be developed to where when I, OneEyedSnake, buy an alt, Name it whatever I want, lets say BadBenny, and then go out and kill it. In the combat report it says “OneEyedSnake has sunk Russian BadBenny off the coast of x.” See the difference there is it actually says the name of the player sunk. Now every combat news whore and their multiple wives can see that I killed my own alt. At this point the chances of getting caught are 100%. And not only that, but gunuinley good players won’t have any more issues being reported. The devs will have an easier life in the future, we will as well, the game will be more balanced, and you alt farmers can die in your irrigation trenches along with all the other labor hours you left waste away. TLDR? Through use of legitimate IP screens combat news makes it obvious when you are farming an alt. Thus making the risk way too high for the rewards.

Frustration with BS Mechanics that just weren’t understood is not. You can’t just ban your small playerbase when you have made poor life decisions.. So as Gordon Ramsey has famously said. hello kitty off. Get out of my kitchen.

I have seen some interesting things from them myself. Mainly the Ocean that had no armor health and bounced my 24lbs literally at point blank and they came back to penetrate me. But really I do think it comes down to the Mechanics the devs have built into this game. The way they build their ships. I’m not large on the accusing of hacking because any good hacker knows how to cover his tracks easily, it’s a waste of time. And also I have been accused on several occasions, and of course I have never hacked/cheated in any multiplayer game in my life. Unless you count exploits in Nazi Zombies mode of CoD WaW. But otherwise it’s generally just a matter of them knowing the broken, very stupid game mechanics the game has developed into them, more than you do.

So I am the leader of VNM, a primarily US clan, of the Dutch Nation. We have more RVR players in our American time zone than in Dutch times. We set the PBs as a united Provinces to when we can best defend them against one Dane clan that has more members than our whole Dutch nation. So non issue. You clearly are not a clan leader/officer in your nation and do not know the inner politics between clans and nations.

I actually was pro NPC fleet in game, and still am? It is clear you just can’t see through your own Biasis. However it’s one thing to take the time to kill NPC ships yourself, and another to go in and have your NPCs kill the NPCs, get the reward, all while just going mission to mission doing that and doing nothing yourself. If you want a farm simulator go back to your Korean Grind games.

Too many people abused it to just go into battle and farm AI. It was stupid that way and they way it is now is perfect.

Id also like to add, if Slim's idea were to be implemented, and at such a high combat point "restriction" at that. More people would be grinding missions, and would thus be out in the waters for larger amounts of time as well. At the very least negating the players that wouldst be sailing as much collecting materials.

I like this idea, but i believe that the combat mark price should be no less than 200, even for a 6th rate. At 1st rate level it should be around 1000. That way the economy player still has a purpose. But if you are willing to grind a bit you can gain those combat marks. Perhaps even buy a smaller ships worth of materials as you might have some stored up by then as well.

we dont need resources. we need the ability to partake in what this game is based around. RVR. unfortunately we just dont have the manpower to do it. we will just have to do other things. its fine. its called Behavioral Adaptation. However this games ASM's (available seat miles), are minimal with this current structure, and its LF (load factor) is even smaller , but it has a good enough base to have a large ATM (available tonne mile). Currently the VSI reads negative and I am not sure what the pilots are doing seeing how the LF is large enough for this to not be the case. IFR seems to be working incorrectly, and it feels like we are going off of VFR in little to no visibility weather, which probably explains the negative VSI. Perhaps we should ablate certain parts of this game's development process because our accommodation coefficient seems to be 0. Games that require accustomization instead of adaptation do not do well, which is what seems to be the case with this game. People like you are what I would describe as an aeropause, and bad scintillation. Basically you missed the point completely and are a distraction.
