  1. Just on #8, do you know you have the ability to turn the aiming lines and I believe status bar (but may be wrong) off? I don't remember what key it was. Maybe they need to come up with 2 servers, one more sim (no tp, 1 dur ships, manual sails on OW, slower sailing times, no repair kits in battle or replenishing crew on OW ...) and 1 more combat game (tp allowed, multi dur ships, ability to chart your course and have the AI sail for you, repair kits and replenishing crew, etc) just an idea. I think I would play both being somewhere in the middle. And on that combat server, make a heat map where you can see what regions have the most current activity.
  2. Maybe give the option to sail the OW at regular speed or to set a course that speeds it up. I know I'm in the minority as I like sailing the OW. Currently touring it in a surprise. I also like hunting, looking for ships, while sailing. I would believe you would also need the ability to dock at any port, maybe with a cost. Without send to outpost or add to fleet the cargo hold will fill up quickly if you are hunting traders in enemy territory.
  3. Just a suggestion, probably not very good: National ports require upkeep. Any player that has an outpost in that port helps pay upkeep, automatically. If upkeep drops below a certain level, a PVP zone is created. Whichever nation sinks the most players in that zone can have a pb there, if regional capital, or raid. While the port is contested, anyone can use it for resources and building ships up until the port battle. If no one shows to defend or it's unsuccessfully defended, the county hostility is raised, if it's not a capital, or that county is captured by the other nation, if it is a regional capital. Of course there also has to be a way to capture ports that are upkept
  4. Maybe for PVP events -- move them to the small/large battles. Ow PVP event circle seems so arena-ish. Although I would like to see points & a store for any OW PVP victority (maybe no points if overwhelming BR).
  5. IMO, pirate rework & rvr rework are most needed. Somehow ports need to have importance for nationals. Regional bonuses started to do this. Maybe there should also be maitenance costs for port upkeep? I'm in the minority, so far, believing SOLs should be more rare and paints should not be craftable. Edit I guess I'm in the majority w/ SOLs
  6. I would like to see raids added as a side to pbs, not to replace pbs, on individual ports, not counties and not regional capitals, which flips the port for a day or 2 so whoever raided can use that port and get the resources and regional bonuses.
  7. Why in the world do you need 100 ship slots? Ship deeds would be something like coins, little weight and takes little room. It would be also nice to capture a trader and see them carrying deeds. And maybe you can build them anywhere but only redeem them at the capital? Just a suggestion.
  8. I like what POTBS did. Instead of crafting ships, you craft ship deeds which can be saved or turned into ships. Then when you get down to 1 dur, you can use a deed to add 3 dur. The only downside is that mods would only need to be crafted once. Although in POTBS, I believe, anytime you sank you lost the permanent mods but not regular. That would stink here as mods such as copper plating are so expensive to replace.
  9. I'm not sure about the Santa Celia but I believe the intent for the Inde and Endy was to make them capturable only, not craftable.
  10. The first post I actually voted down. Are you trollling or just misunderstanding he said epic and not admirality PVP events? I haven't been into the epic events, they were added some time ago. It's a large PVE event. I think you may be able to get mods from them. You definitely want a full group to enter them. Take a basic cutter, enter it just to see what it's like and run.
  11. I checked a few minutes ago, steam store would not load. So it's probably not completely back.
  12. Players that try to play like true pirates didn't care. I'm glad Sorry has left. If you are into conquest, you should play nat.
  13. Where is that pic a Sorry member, I think Otto, posted of the flag with the carebears hugging when you need it!!
  14. @WraithMy clan liked the shipwrecks too. We went in frigates, not trade ships, killed all non trade ships in the area before the event and attacked trade ships we found after the event. What I would like to see is PVP leaderboard & store for OW PVP anytime, anywhere, not just instances in certain areas. Earlier TDA, I believe, made a map with PVP hotzones. In a sandbox, events, at least to me, should be player created, player driven. Just wanted to voice my opinion. Sorry if it's off topic.
  15. I rather liked the OW speed before, wished they hadn't changed it, Instead to satisfy those that do not like OS maybe make speeds faster the farther you are out from port, like currents. :/
  16. Maybe keep fine woods for SOLs? I like the ability to be able to replace my 5th 6th and 7th rates since I'm not a PVP pro like Vries above.
  17. Maybe make map coordinates an officer perk? Map coordinates, I believe, were added to help find shipwrecks. I loved the feeling of getting lost and having to find my way when I first started playing with no coordinates. Or, I think someone suggested, give 1 ordinate as either latitude or longitude (can't remember) was easy to figure out.
  18. Sounds interesting. What I would like to see more is player created events. My first guild created a treasure hunt where you gave clues to locations, had to sail to those ports, pick up special items (like an iron ingot from a player at one port, coal from a player at another port etc) and the first player back with all peices got a bunch of gold, silver, and copper coins. Although we never carried it out not enough interest.
  19. Voted for it in the Just 5 more minutes. Voted for Rust in best use of a farm animal award lol. Probably will nominate Dead by Daylight too, not sure where.
  20. That's why I think you should get currency for the event to use in the shop (like Shelby said) and for PVP battles on the open world
  21. Instead of winners getting the prizes, how about keep the PVP events for those who like such things but get points for kills, assists, damage done, in the events and on the open world outside the events and have a store at the capital where you can spend your points on paints and ships. Of course the better the prize the more points needed. Of course this will be exploited by alts but if players are desprate enough they will find an exploit in anything.
  22. I also believe ship crafting should be reworked before adding PVP events. If events come first, maybe the first event will have a large turnout but others will not as it is too hard to replace a ship at the present moment.
