    We had this. Everyone in the nation got a weekly vote as to who was an ally and who was an enemy. It turned into a static situation within 3 weeks. And it never changed.

    Correct. I may expand on this a bit if I have time in a new topic. Basically an "economic zone" where players can earn Reales/Doubloons in safety, but only be able to bring their wealth back and forth. No ships. No mods. No resources. Just a place to build a "nest egg" so that loss can be mitigated for newer players. Maybe even with a max rank cap.

    @Licinio Chiavari, I was wondering that myself yesterday when I saw it. However, I will say that I’m not sure it’s just 7th rates in reality. I came in 7th or something last week. And I strictly used my Prince all week. For what that’s worth.

    Complete and utter bullshit. A good captain will, and does, crush an average captain with superior gear 9 times out of 10. And the one time is usually because the better captain made a mistake or was unlucky enough to lose a mast. Mods and gear don’t tell you which way to to turn to counter a maneuver or when to hold ur broadside until the angle is right.

    You can cap an LGV in approx. 10 mins.... LGV's AVERAGE ~1000 doubloons each... Certainly not the most exciting game-play. But if you need ships quickly, there ya go....

    Agreed. Should be a poor-man’s Indiaman. Also I can’t help but wonder what new gameplay options and specialized ship uses true bathymetry would allow. Its good to dream.

    @King of Crowns, my guess is SKittles finally lost his shit and decided to take his shit from the warehouse. He regularly gets farmed. We took 500 teak off him yesterday. When Hemp showed up to try and avenge him we had a nice battle outside Frozen Cay. 3 Princes and a store-bought Surprise (damn Heth) against 2 Hercs and a heavy Rattle. We focused Skittles and they stayed at distance. And then ran when he sunk.

    This right here is 100% correct. Why are we worried about annoying maybe 50% of the 200 people that still actively play? I would much rather Game-Labs focus on attracting NEW players than try and retain ones that have already decided the game just isn't for them.... Let's start with with an even playing field. (We're already keeping our XP, getting a Pandora and will have a giant headstart on knowledge base...) It's clearly time for some fresh blood and new heroes (and villains) in the game.
