This is a first iteration - we will try to make them look more natural and beautiful :)

It's a heck of a good start. My favorite part is the jagged chunks taken out of the turrets, and even pairs well with the reloading animation such as here

See the super firing turret here as the guns were interrupted in re-elevating by hits from a salvo and is silenced forevermore. Either solemn or amazing depending your point of view and I adore every bit of it.

My attempt at a ... well I'm sure you can figure it out. 6 guns is not as good as 8 but she still looked nice in the end. Alas I quickly quit out of this battle once the large fleet of german heavy cruisers came into view and I discovered all of them to be heavily rearmed and rebuilt kaiser friedrich III class hulls from 1890 that I had no interest in fighting. large.2066806107_BBCarnot.png.3596edc74c9206a9fa504507507be98d.png

Cant wait for quad turrets to be added, Richelieu and Alsace are my favorite classes of BBs and really want to recreate them in game.

First full proper battle.

The Chinese turret ships, Shiyi and her sister Hualong steam out in the early morning to engage a large group of Japanese heavy cruisers. Out numbered and out gunned the older turret ships put up a valiant fight before each succumbs to fate. Shiyi sinks first after taking the brunt of the enemies attention, defiant to the last she slips below the waves with guns still firing. Her sister Hualong follows quickly behind, as a lucky Japanese 11" shell finds her primary magazine, the extensive flooding caused from the mighty explosion take her with all hands.large.1040458171_cts1.png.52b41f50832110cb4b354fa2044d325a.pnglarge.947406334_cts2.png.0b6f51f044ac342965abd096e021b8ab.png

Behold!

The pinnacle of russian naval engineering, flagship of the Red Navy - "Soyuz Nerushimiy" (The Unbreakable Union)💪

I just wanted to know how much firepowah one could fit in the 120 kilotons of displacement, lol. Still, seeing this monster firing 12x18" straingt aheadz while chasing poor german battleships on 35 knots is definitely something🙃

That is fantastic and insane XD  I'd love to try and fight that with my own 120k ton monster.  I go for 30 knot speed 4 tripple 18 inch turrets and then just an ass ton of armor so my single BB can take on a fleet of enemy BBs with minimal damage even when they have 18" guns of their own.

Ya know what they say about battlecruisers..

So I decided to have some battlecruiser on battlecruiser action, a little light Jutland of 5 vs 5. It started off shakey, the Germans getting early hits at range on the last ship in the line causing her to fall out inorder to fix engine problems. Then the two lines closed.. I was hoping for an explosion, but well, 4 out of 5 German battlecruisers blew up and one burnt down. Interestingly enough the AI designed warships almost identical to mine in appearances and layout, though they were larger, faster, had a bigger secondary battery and were toting eight 14" guns to my eight 13s. Despite that they forgot to bring armor, with a max of 5 inches.. I mean I know BCs had a light belt, but dang!

The British fleet got it's nose bloodied but didn't lose a ship that day. Someone musta fired Beatty.large.screen_1920x1080_2019-12-13_16-28-42.png.03b56a94f1115ede94dcf380238bcb39.pnglarge.screen_1920x1080_2019-12-13_16-29-01.png.46b5d8a5aa71d1e86c8dd7d599698f97.pnglarge.screen_1920x1080_2019-12-13_16-29-31.png.4f9d6d439a4e440647643aedf063efd8.pnglarge.screen_1920x1080_2019-12-13_16-30-34.png.972804cd6bb72282a8df743604e19eb0.png

I think this would be better. However, after actual testing, it seems that it is not possible to fire more than 3 side guns at the same time.

Fubuki-class Destroyer.

And my try to recreate IJN B65 Project xD

Ddylfvs.jpg

I was forced to use 3x3 381mm guns because there was no option to use big barbette on modern battleship (damn you developers! :D) and i couldn't fit 305mm guns on huge barbette.

Imagine there is a scout plane in this empty space between rear tower and funnel.

It's a Borodino, it's not a Borodino, nah it's really just a Borodino but with the wrong turrets. As the right ones either don't exist or are unavailable.

Sometimes the shell impacts look great, but then they also look terrible. Hull impacts? Okay! Turret impacts? Eh.. kinda look like a years worth of seagull droppings..large.screen_1920x1080_2019-12-17_14-33-06.png.c294233f1389743dcfc6b02166b4bfac.pnglarge.screen_1920x1080_2019-12-17_14-58-15.png.458eebc017f4efff61cb9da9fa319424.png

@Skeksis

Those look really great all things considered. I really hope we get some more historically influenced hulls.

Speaking of historically influenced hulls I've recently been going through all the unique hull types in the game, so far for the pre-dreadnought era and excluding DDs and TBs and what I've concluded is pretty sad to me at least. Most of the hulls available, (again before 1906) are just copy paste and resized versions of about 9 or so unique ships. 1 unique protected/light cruiser hull, based off of the German Gazelle class light cruiser. I think there's 2 unique armored/heavy cruisers. One is clearly suppose to be a Monmonth class Armored cruiser, and the second, I think, is suppose to be a Garibaldi class Armored Cruiser. As for battleships there's a Majestic class, a Lord Nelson class, a Tsessarevitch class, a Borodino class, several iterations of the Brandenburg for some reason (4 hull variations with 3 being almost identical) , a Kaiser class and.... uh, thats it. All the other ships are just repeats of these, up until 1906 which I haven't started categorizing. That's 9 unique hulls. I hope that either more hulls are made, or mod tools and some sort of rudimentary explanation how to build a hull is explained. I'd totally learn to mod just to build a Brooklyn class armored cruiser (ACR-3) or the USS Maine, or Spanish Pelayo, or French Bouvet or Dupuy de Lome or a Roon or Scharnhorst or Regina Elena or .. or.. ahem, excuse me. But please devs, at least one lozenge arrangement hull and one en echelon tailored hull!

Post 1906, excluding the Yamato, the Iowa, the Dreadnought and double dreadnought, and that new Italian heavy cruiser all I've managed to figure out is that a lot of the super structure is clearly based off the Invincible/Indefatigable class battle cruisers. I'll get to work on those hulls, but if anyone else knows I'd love to be clued in.

Of course, @devs I'd also be happy to hear your secrets whispered directly from you, can you confirm or deny the ships I've IDed? How about help me ID the others? Thanks.
