    Unlikely because the ones coming out this time are 'rotted' planks, probably wouldn't be of much use. There is some Live Oak that was submerged in a holding pond in Boston for 50 years for future use and during the '92 restoration they took these out and analyzed the timbers to see if they still had the same integrity after being under water for so long and it was determined they did not. However they would make a great table!

    From about 1775 onwards (an earlier date than just about every ship in the game currently), so yes, they were a presence. By the 1780s the American Navy and privateers were operating in the West Indies as well.

    For the first time in 20 years she will enter drydock. The overall Navy mission is to "bring the USS Constitution to her War of 1812 appearance, as far as practicable” 35 large White Oak trees from Indiana were selected to replace 30-40ft long rotted hull planks. She will be in drydock until 2017. The Live Oak frames and knees underwent ultrasonic inspection in 1992 and some frames were replaced, but most importantly diagonal riders were restored to correct the hogging that occurred. They had been removed in 1927 and this proved to be a mistake. Their restoration corrected the problem. Another testament to the innovations of Joshua Humphreys. White Oak planking

    Oh we already have flags designed and waiting ha. I just want them to pass a review process to weed out non-period nonsense like the above mentioned batman. Trust me someone will try to pull off some Darth Vader crap.

    I fear the crazy colored sails all over the place to be honest. Let's give that a few years... However a system to create clan flags and then at least one more flag to denote your clan squadron (or whatever else you wish to use it for) should be allowed. Maybe one smaller one below the nation jack and one on the main or mizzen, or allow several slots for custom placement. Everything would have to pass developer review so we don't get megatron or batman flags.

    I can confirm this is happening a lot past 2 days, especially last night. When someone joins a battle that has been ongoing for at least a few minutes it will either CTD, freeze and kick people back to port (with a loss of ship or durability) or kick back to OW. There were about 15 of us last night in a close area together, 3-4 battles at a time, over a period of about 8 hours, we were able to determine this is the pattern. I saw others talking about it in the global chat. Being on TS we were able to mitigate the issue by all of us going the battle at once and if one didn't make it in, we treated the battle as locked for anyone else. When it didn't crash you would experience a 'rubber band' lag spike as someone joined a battle, so that is definitely the trigger for the crashes. I know several f11's were sent right after each incident happened.

    That phrase will always make me think of that game. I've been a part of the mod community for years (mods made that game), hope they can right themselves and do an Empire 2 on a new engine

    FYI, I just logged into TDA TS after posting this and was informed by my captains that this fellow had an explosive tribunal going, I had no idea, I do not peruse the tribunal. This was all in good fun here not trying to stir anything up.

    This is one of the funniest things that has happened in chat. No, it's not a tribunal or anything like it, it is just simply hilarious and I wanted to share it, how could I not? A rather innocuous light pvp ended and after we got back to the lobby I was informed that I'm either A) a dev and I cheated B ) the devs helped me or C) I really am secretly testing out new ammunition I wasn't even mad at the fellow, I laughed so hard it actually made my day, as you can see I do profess my love for Neo's paranoia Feasteth thine eyes upon this silliness.
