I'll gladly invest more into the game via DLCs pre release as long as the price tag is reasonable, it is in no way pay2win and it actually helps speed up & improve the development and quality of the game. Even tho I would donate money to GL just to keep development going and the servers running, I'd also like to see as many players online as possible and everyones financial means are different.
  2. Can't please everyone, I guess. I and the majority enjoy the new ship very much and appreciate its addition and new flavour to the game.
  3. It can load neither grape nor chain shot as far as I know...
  4. Haven't tested it yet myself but having used the guns on the LGVR, I'd imagine it to be quite underwhelming since it is only 4... I hope you are right however.
  5. What is the purpose of the 4x 2lb "chaser" guns since it can not load chain, please?
  6. This is awesome. Pirate rig being useful for once ( no nerf due to no existance of main sails ? ) on a real pirate ship. Thank you very much.

I agree completely and would also like to point out that opposed to what others have said, it is not the same as buying a alt account. Imagine a 30 player clan with this DLC vs a 30 player clan without. One clan has everyone with all their skillbooks and ships ready in more locations than the other. Also a alt costs significantly more than the DLC ( I hope at least... ) and requires you to level up and buy all skillbooks etc. again, making it much less effective at using the outpost slots strategically.

Good to hear but please keep the bonus rather minor ( maybe +4 outposts and +50% warehouse space ) and nothing too extreme like doubling it... I would prefer it to be for people who want to support the game and devs, rather than buying a straight advantage... the road to pay2win is a slippery slope. I will buy everything to support the game and you but I prefer cosmetic and prestige type DLCs like balanced unique ships and paintjobs. Also welcome back, good Sir. I hope you enjoyed the time with your grandmother.
  9. I see your point but since we can only have one or the other I would rather not waste my time with clicking buttons needlessly and cluttering my already limited storage only so hardcore roleplaying dudes like you get their extra layer of immersion with crafting...
  10. I want to move my production buildings, shipyards and workshops... would it be more beneficial to me to do this before the patch or after implementiong or doesn't it matter at all ( in terms of building prices ) ?
  11. So basically Elite Dangerous, where your 1st rate also is the most efficient trader? Could at least have changed its name...
  12. Thank you for providing content for your fellow mates, good Sir! +1
  13. Please don't. There is enough RNG in game already, as it is... PvP marks should have to be earned in combat or at least bought from PvP players.
  14. You could give clans full control over the resources / upgrades produced by the ports, if you increased sealed bottle drop at the same time. This way other players still have access to the upgrades and prices will be kept in check, while RvR gets meaning again and clans something actually worth fighting for. Sealed bottles will also only give random upgrades that can be captured after picked up, so the port owners still have the advantage while everyone has a chance to at least get something. More people will be in OW with the additional motivation of looking for bottles and thereby be targets for PvP. Maybe fishing could also be more complex to prevent excessive afk fishing... fisher could also be a role for casual players? Maybe x amount of fish meat sold in a port should reduce the maintenance fee ( no starving citizens ) ? New and low skill players could make some minor profit with fishing this way to prevent them from going completely broke and quitting.
  15. Please give notice again when you deploy this update and how much the % will change in capturable cities compared to capitals. How will the chances be in free towns? Thank you very much.
  16. Simple. You limit access to the clan and all allied / friendly clans in their list. This way you can lock out alts but still have the port available for everyone that is actually fighting to defend it.
  17. Well, not like it matters after it happens since you can't do anything to the player in terms of punishment anyways - only admin / devs could but they know the steam account IDs and it is the responsibility / fault of the clan trusting someone with the access to CWH.
  18. So will crafting ships become cheaper, more expensive or stay the same in terms of actual cost?
  19. What about a new outlaw pirate nation only available with the prolific forger DLC ( to prevent new players from starting in it and give DLC owners something extra ) that flies the red flag? Just remove the FFA outlaw battle in favour of 1 vs 1 only battles against other outlaw players to prevent abuse etc. ...
  20. Then do not tell anyone or sell the information. There could be maps that show the location of a hideout as item to be traded etc. ... As others have mentioned already, there are still players not aware of the location of Kidd's Island, despite it being there for a long time but simply not visible on the map. And even if some hideouts become well known, they will simply make for a small PvP hotspot... It is a win-win either way, I guess?
  21. The mortar brig / mortars could definitely use some love to be honest. It is a nice addition to the game and offers a completely new playstyle but is held back by its clunky aim mechanics and one dimensional style. I would like to see the mortar brig being more effective and more skill demanding / hard to master aswell. And explosive shells ( even if they only increase crew damage and fire chance ) should definitely be considered as the mortar vessels also used this type of ammunition historically. "A bomb vessel, bomb ship, bomb ketch, or simply bomb was a type of wooden sailing naval ship. Its primary armament was not cannons (long guns or carronades)—although bomb vessels carried a few cannons for self-defence—but mortars mounted forward near the bow and elevated to a high angle, and projecting their fire in a ballistic arc. Explosive shells (also called bombs at the time) or carcasses were employed rather than solid shot. Bomb vessels were specialized ships designed for bombarding (hence the name) fixed positions on land. " (source) This would also look much more dramatic and epic in game. @admin , what do you think?
  22. I think the main problem with Hercules is simply that it is classified as 6th rate and allowed in shallows... Yeah, the video was purely for visuals and I should not have linked it. Obviously the rockets weren't and shouldn't be nearly as accurate. The main reason they would hit is the high volume of fire / big volleys. I would like to see this aswell. @admin Please give some love to mortar firing mechanics and mortar vessels...
