@admin Storms are by far the worst content in this game. all the do is hinder open world movement/operations. if you not going to have storms in battle then take them out of the game as a whole. and no I don't mean some little rain storm. I want to see some big waves I know you have the in game already. you can do your usual RE introduce and old feature and call in new content move. YA KNOW like you did with paints and several ships and like im sure your going to do with the diana. either delete the storms who put them in right. stop doing the job half way. #Deletestorms

Im wondering, why in NA we dont have different skills or bonuses for Each nation like other games? Just now it doesn't matter where you are, you just play the exact same game no. Matter the flag you wear. Is posible to make some Ships exclusive but capturable for some nations? For example: GB had some armor side HP and structure HP bonus along with reload bonus. But they cant craft some vessels, example US constitution, Locean, Santisima, and belle poul and renomee *French had better rigg and Speed bonuses also pen bonus. They cant Craft Santisima, victory, indefatigable and US Constitution or essex *Spain had damage bonus, downwind speed rig bonus and crew morale boost. They cant craft GB ships nor Fench ships. And get ridd of Non Caribbean Nations of that period like Prussians, russians and polish. You can had more content variety with less nations and his bonuses making the game More interesting and fun and also give it some purpose to some forgotten ships and play style (group sailing) cause in this case Fleet composition matter. Pirates should not had national Port and they must live in Freetowns, they can only craft up to pirate frigate and grow based on capture and plunder. They can attack each other and cooperate with each other too. Dutch and Spain for example can craft Indiamans not other nation could, this way those ships are more valuable, and add a lot of interesting things into the game. Other thing that i think could Be great if is you rank up you captain level doing some special missions. For example you rank up now. To M&C doing the tutorial, but for further levels you need to do something once you reach the experience, kind of a test for each rank. So you will not see a "Rear Admiral" earned by sinkng AI in the OW, this test could be 10pvp kills? Or something like that 6 hostility orders completed, fight in a port battle Hope we can had something like this in the near future before release. With this new changes in damage model (wich i like a lot) trading, crafting, balance between ship class. I think if i find this things after wipe i will stick a lot More into the game, for now i stop playing cause is pointless and you dont have anything to do but waste your precius time sailing nowhere and doing the exact same Things since 2 years.

Captains, I'd like to share with you some ideas to the past discussions about content/nations and possible server solutions based on the two server model: 1. CvC Server (Clan versus Clan) - No nations, only clans - No safe zones - No grinding (just choose your ship for fight) - Ganking, death match, capture flag etc. - "old" battle system - Target: Clan/player scores, conquests 2. NvN Server (Nation versus Nation) - Only Nations (yes, no clans) - Pirates: no nation to choose, you become Pirate for sinking the wrong ship (e.g. without letter of marque) or delivering the wrong letter/person, highest craftable ship is Pirate Frigate; "abandoned" colonies can turn to pirate or neutral, - grinding and crafting (also trading goods), no ship DLCs - Missions: Delivery missions have an influence on Nations (e.g. riots in an enemy colony) - "new" battle system (from testbed) - only balanced fights (via BR), patrol zones are free fighting areas - Everybody can join a PB - More "content" (missions and incentives): kill, escort fleet, nobility titles, nice ship rewards, spy activities for the crown or to even get married with the most beautiful governor's daughter - Caribbean news for each nation (alliances, political development, port battles, colonies, nation, economy) - tbc Please join the discussion FvB

Present rulebook states, in relation to Empty Bottles: - to find Empty Bottles, captain must enable Fishing, by use of the Fish button - Use of a Empty Bottle will reveal the exact location of a ship wreck - only one Empty Bottle Wreck can be active at any given time per player - wreck contains a unknown weight in cargo, to be retrieved of: gold coins, materials for refits, a book/refit, resource/trade good - retrieving the wreck cargo requires the entire weight to be transported - all or nothing gameplay - only that player sees the wreck, no one else ---- My suggestions to change Empty Bottle Wrecks mechanic: - as soon as Empty Bottle is used the~wreck spawns - player-user knows the exact location of the wreck - marker in his own map - Wreck model ( not location ) is visible and accessible by anyone in the OW - the same way as the Treasure Fleet wrecks - if they happen to pass by in the area. - any player can Explore the wreck and take just part of items or all items, at player discretion - empty wrecks ( all the cargo taken ) disappear from the world immediately - Mark disappears from map if it gets emptied - wrecks with some items left stay on the world until the next maintenance. they are de-spawn on maintenance. Pros: - chance encounter with shipwrecks Keeping eyes open during a sail can get rewarded. Discourage AFK sailing - urgency of retrieval of the (unknown) goods - bottle user knows location, but others may pass by it if player waits too long... Cons: - it is no longer a individual player mechanic - might provide more reasons for players to quit - any type of ship can access - no more "All or nothing"

So, any chance of some kind of PvP missions. "Sink X amount of Prussian players in X senario.?" Or something players can create and pay rewards for in the form of a contract - i.e. a bounty on a player, or a contract for sinking a nation near a certain location? (Could be used port battles.) Or am I crazy? Mcbaity

just a simple question really, is any kind of actual content going to be added before release? I mean the patrol zones and epic events are just jokes really. they sort of work but are "simple". tweaking balancing is all good but seriously so many things suggested, trade routes, different battles zones, Spanish treasure fleets, storms, etc...…...but nothing seems to get added to spice things up. just wondering now release is close or isn't close or is isn't close. or is it just me thinking this?

I love the idea of the hidden pirate island and would like to see more of it but in smaller size. Credit to @Banished Privateer and many others before him who suggested this and I would like to bring it to general attention again. These hidden mini treasure islands would be a great place to start raids from and should have limited dock aswell as warehouse space. Those hideouts could also be on islands and coasts already in game but hidden from sight in some bay, so only people who have been there or know about it can tell where it is... There could also be a black market for smugglers and more. Here are small islands that are already in game but there is nothing to be discovered and it would make ideal spots for those hidden mini ports. @admin This would give more content and life to the beautiful OW, driving more captains out to discover.

I have a suggestion to enhance Tutorials and help players skilling up. Implement a seperate battle scenario accessible from Port UI, like the tutorials. Call it like "Training Room". Players who get in there can chosse what ship they want to sail themselves (type, wood mix, long, medium or carro equipped, maybe even upgrade and knowledge selectable, for testing) and what enemy ships they want to encounter (ship type only, random layout). All in sandbox mode without effects on the rest of the game... So if a Player wants to check out if he can defeat a santi with a Fir/Fir Ingermanland, let him do. After that, he may want to check out if a Fir/Sabicu Ingermanland does a better job. If one player wants to show his mate some tactics: let them go into training room and sail there together. Let them do. It has no consequences... Gold, XP, Marks, ships... nothing gained or lost. Just training. I think this would be very helpful for newer or casual players to get into the game.

Master and Commander Book reads...with the silver medal of the Nile... Dear Devs, @admin please consider adding content in a form of medals. It's a very simple yet powerful content. Achievements that would reward players with items that can be shown to everyone else in their player info window. Active players would be proud to show their medals, earned during actions on the high seas or land. You earn points and then bring them to the Admiralty to get your medals. Example Suggested awards: PB (your team wins, must be alive - 1 point) -10 Points - Successful Port battles - Bronse medal -50 Points - Successful Port battles - Silver medal -100 Points - Successful Port battles - Gold medal PVP Battle (you make at least 1 kill, win the battle and stay alive - 1 point) -10 Points - Successful pvp battles - Bronse medal -50 Points - Successful pvp battles - Silver medal -100 Points - Successful pvp battles - Gold medal PVP Kills (you make at least 1 pvp kill - 1 point) -10 Points - kills - Bronse medal -50 Points - kills - Silver medal -100 Points - kills - Gold medal and so on.. pvp battle (medal) One successful battle = at least 1 pvp kill per battle and you or your group remain alive on exit wit hall enemies eliminated or escaped. Your group members must have at least 1 kill to earn 'successful battle' point. ex. if you and your friend each have 1 kill, your group of 6 will get only 2 pvp points (you and your friend). You must win the fight, make 1 kill and exit alive to get successful pvp battle point. Those who did not make any kills can try next battle. If members of the group sink, it will not effect you getting one SB point as long as your team is victorious. pvp kills (medal) earn points by killing players (earn points towards your medal even if you sink after you made the kill). port battle (medal) Your team must win a Port Battle and you must be alive. *To get both pvp battle and pvp kill points that can later be exchanged for medals you must - Kill at least one enemy and win the fight. If you only kill the enemy you get only pvp kill point, but not successful battle. We need something that promotes Active players and makes others achieve the same.

@admin please introduce gun packages (rare item drop) to Naval Action. It would be a one time use item that will automatically fill all your guns (heaviest allowed per broadside) on a newly acquired ship or any ship with no guns mounted. Have 3 types: Long Guns Package Medium Guns Package Carronades Package These items have a small drop chance and could drop from NPCs, PBs, Players, Missions etc.. Having one gun package ready will quickly get your ship ready for battle in no time. How will it work? Must be in the ship with no guns mounted, select Use Gun Package (Long), Confirm. Set sail with your battle ready ship. Can trade same as Labor contracts. In reality it's bacicaly a service that delivers and installs all the guns for you. These can be sold as Premium content as well (short cuts) Premium Package Example 15L, 15M, 15C, - $3.99 45L, 45M, 45C - $6.99 135L, 135M, 135C, - $14.99

Fleet ships need to be buffed, re crewed with humans or have dramatically improved command options. One of the single most annoying aggravating/infuriating elements of NA is the utter uselessness of fleet ships to do anything more than carry cargo. And before anyone uses the counter "just sail with clan mates", I'm in a clan, a Rear Admiral & rich, yet it is still almost impossible in today's NA environment to find any player in a clan or otherwise, who will escort your 3-4 Indiaman for 3-4 hours at a time.

@admin Naval Action foundation is nearly complete and I would like to strongly suggest an interesting story of a young sailor who works through missions, events and adventures to fame and glory. I am a big fan of Patrick O'Brian novels and I want to point out that developers haven't lost all hands just yet. Game development is like a good old ship fight. You can't see your opponent actions through the thick smoke of cannon fire... it's simply a gamble of two Captains. Wrong move can cost you a ship. Developer would need to hire someone who can write short stories that would piece together into a long interesting novel inside NA game. These stories would need to be scripted and translated in all languages with grammar check. No animated avatars needed, just simple pictures with text and scripted missions that would support a solid story. This approach would be very welcomed on Asian market as well as US and Europe. You would start as a young sailor with low rank and ship and would be offered starting missions with rewards that later would become more adventurous and challenging. Story would include - deliver, sink, protect, escort, sell, raise contention, participate, loot and so on.. When foundation with this is set, there is a very valuable catch here - expansions. Paid content to continue the story of your character. New adventures, missions, events and most important item content and ships. I would like to hear Developer opinion on this, as this is the key to NA success. With all respect I hope you will listen to this suggestion and make the right decision in the upcoming months. It could be that you already made them, but need more ideas and here they are. I've put a lot of thought into all those requests for more content, but not a single new ship or a new fleet mission will secure NA with players. They will come and go, write bad reviews, return product and such. This suggestion is by far the best solution to NA revival. Base story would be offered as a requirement to all newly created characters and as an option to all existing ones. Every mission must provide rewards based on rank and difficulty level this includes at least 5 free ships through the story line. Expansions would be paid content for those who would like to continue their adventure and continue to grow their Characters. All passive content - treasure maps, exploration, dynamic events and so on can easily be branched to already existing story line or story missions could randomly drop such passive (side content) to make leveling and game play interesting and not flat and boring. P.S. I have pages of written mission content ready to roll out on request and I am sure you will find many talented novel writers on these forums or elsewhere as well. I propose a catchy story that will grasp every player and won't let it go ;) -Wind

Hello everyone. Lately many players have been complaining about lack of content and how there is not much to see on the sea and islands other than water and trees. Also lack of Events and other things are making this game more like pvp smash with trading than interesting game with bigger amount of content. This is why i would recommend game developers to create some thing that would make us feel like we are surrounded by naval creatures like dolphins and whales or have some events happening that make it interesting to watch the seenery like on land conflicts when town is being under attack when port battle is going on or has ended. Suggestions: - Add sealife like Dolphins, Whales and maybe even sea moster like Kraken. - Add random events like Ghost ship that change weather to foggy when its close and from sinking this ship you can get rewards and rarest (1% chance) would be ghost ship paint. (example in photo) Seeing this ship would be rare even tho you would get to foggy area since the fog makes ships hard to see like in lightning storm. - Add more action on land during port battles. - Add captain on board during battles. At the moment we have crew with animation but no captain to lead the crew. - Add bigger transport ship: Clipper. This would have 8000 hold and would be fast due to the sail area. Would be harder to craft and needs 800 crew. - Add daily missions and rewards with them. These changes would help this game a lot since then players would have more stuff to do and to see. This game isnt about just killing and sailing, This game is about experiencing the naval action of 1700- 1800 era. Also it would help if you would advertise this game somewhere. If the game creator team can't do it, make players do it and give revards for doing so. Im sure many players are ready to do something to help this game to rise up. At least i would like to. Hi All, Reading through the forums, you can see a lot of questions or request for ship paints / skins. Thinking a little bit about it an idea popped into my head. Please let me know what you think. Ship paints/skins availability in region capitals if: Mechanics on how painting system will work. whole region is owned by one nation (or clan) - region specific paint you can paint your ship only if you are on this ship or ship is in the fleet (not as an item that you can carry to another port) you have to leave your ship in this port until server maintenance (optional) Clan owning port has to invest an X amount of gold to build shipyard in region capital to benefit from below Cost of applying paint Nation (or clan) owning region - 25% of the cost Any other nation or clan - 100% of the cost Income from paints is taxed and relevant amount of it goes to the clan owning regional port Pros More ships customization available (satisfying a lot of people requesting paints) More incentive to own ports: Additional Income for clan owning Paints available for everyone More traffic Making paints available only in specific port for set ship meaning lot of people trying to get to this port if they want to look cool Groups of people forming to decrease a risk of being intercepted More RVR as the whole region is required to unlock paints Modification is available for all despite in which nation you are, or what you do (PVP, PVE, Trading, Crafting) - although will incur additional cost and effort. Cons Not sure on those, but I am sure that discussion will highlight some Please do so or add in your suggestions to above solution. Regards Cr33D

Hello everyone, It feels like only having PBs as endgame content is not enough for what this game could bring. I guess everyone agrees that the funniest thing to do is to playing with other ppl, not solo missions and solo trading. Said that, i think it would give a lot of action and dynamism to the game having National co-op NPC convoy protection missions. Just as an example: Your nation gets a co-op mission where a NPC trader fleet is gonna go from one port to another, the NPC trader fleet will leave the port when there's enough BR to protect it(or ppl signed for it and at the port rdy to sail), and enemy factions will get a message like, enemy convoy spotted leaving X port, the enemies will have to try finding it and destroy it, coz saying the destination would be too much info in my opinion. If the convoy reaches the destination, all involved players that defended it, will get a huge materials reward, and the same for the enemies if they manage to destroy the protection fleet. What u think about this guys ? Would give a lot of action and emotion to the game. Share your thoughts please!

OH great and wise devs, given your infinite wisdom and great game mechanics development. I would humbly like to point out a neglected area of your game. perhaps you have failed to realize that there isn't crap for a clan of 5-10 captains to participate in within your current game mechanics. I'm sure you know that the game has one main objective right now which is capturing ports. that requires 25 people. I'm also sure your familiar with this game called world of Warcraft, and maybe you even failed to see that WOW with its massive player base decided that 25 man raids was just too much for most people to want to play around with. so how bout a great idea....... give us something to do in your damn game other than battles that require 1/4 to 1/2 of the entire server population. I would make suggestions but hey that's your job to develop this crap not mine. #retired captians... #mothball fleet.

Hi folks, Something that has been on my mind lately when I log in is new player content. Something that entices a player into the game and also keeps them interested. Certainly XP and gold rewards serve their purpose but they are what come after the content, not the content in of itself. Here I am proposing gameplay which can be interesting to players new and old but also perhaps educational and can teach the new players a bit of the RvR/PvP elements as well. Currently there are two types of missions: Fleet and solo missions. Using these as a basis I'm going to build on them and suggest missions that can be both rewarding and entertaining. These missions could have RvR rewards as well to the nation or be strictly player rewards (or a mix of both). 1st level mission: Protect Fisheries - Using 7th rate ships protect a small number of fishing ships (AI controlled trader cutters, trader lynxes) from attack by pirates/Nationals. These missions are based in safe zone around main port. Closed to PvP. The AI controlled ships will try and remain in a certain area (fishing) while avoiding attack for the duration of the mission. Keep 50% alive for mission success (ramp rewards up for more ships kept alive) until timer runs out. 2nd level mission: Coast Guard - Using up to 6th rate ships chase, sink or capture 5/5 smugglers in the region. OW mission encouraging player to learn the basics of attacking ships in OW. Closed to PvP. 3rd level mission: Protect Whaling Fleet - Using up to 5th rate ships protect a fleet of 5 whaling ships towards the edge of the protected zone. Open to PvP. Whaling ships are LGV types and act much the same as the fishing ships in lvl 1 mission. 4th level mission: Patrol - Using up to 5th rate ships sink or capture 5/5 enemy nation flagged warships (6th rate or above). OW search and destroy outside the protected zone. Open to PvP 5th level mission: Convoy Escort - Up to 4th rate ships. Attaches AI trade fleet to player (and group) of 5 trade ships (t. brig and above) and gives them a destination to sail to in another region. AI OW fleets will attack if close and is open to PvP. 6th level mission: Raiding - Up to 3rd rate ships. Destroy or capture 3/3 Tower or fortifications in an Enemy or Hostile port. Open to PvP 7th level mission: Blockade - Up to 1st rate ships. Destroy 10/10 enemy ships (5th rate or above) in enemy held regional waters. Open to PvP

At the moment open world battles are locked at the start to not exceed the higher battle rating. I am proposing a change that BOTH sides of the battle can escalate the battle to 1.5 times the lower br continuously This allows the battle to escalate from 300 vs 300 to a battle of 2000 vs 2000. Allowing each side to recieve reinforcements once they have lower BR. This allows the fight to stay competitive and involve more ppl and even discourages outright ganking. Any suggestions to build on this ides pls share

This may already have been said or mentioned. But let have some in game titles that you can earn or some stated challenges. This may be small but i like the ideal of it. Heck you can even add small bonuses/ rewards for them. You can have titles for: Amount of kills for pvp/pve(of course) Demasting/boarding so many ships. Captured x amount of ships. Crafting x amount of ships Exploring x amounts of ports. Sailing form x to x in a time frame. These can all have ranks to them too. Go ahead and put in a title or challenge that you would like to see.

Alright. Lets start with the basics. There is much glitches or bugs that I could have found which is good for alpha. The reason for concern is content. There is only one mission which is rather boring after doing them for 6 hours and sitting not enough for a better ship. Adding more missions is necessary. When starting out the first hour or 2 is most important. For me starting out ended up being asking in chat what to do to get a better ship. Finding out I need to do missions for gold or capture a ship. I was too bad to capture a proper ship so I tried missions. After 12 hours I got the snow. This was hopelessly too long for a new player to be stuck doing the same thing over. I think the reward system for missions should increase by 200%-400%. I recommend 300%. New players should only need to spend 1 - 2 hours before being to get a new ship like a privaat (I think thats the name). Trading is also lacking. I only see people coming in chat typing "I bought XX where can I sell for a profit" or "Guys how do I trade and how do I know whats in demand" and no one can reply since either no one is sure or this system does not exist or there is a very limited amount of people who understand it. I would love to trade and do things like that instead of going to a port picking up a mission and shooting a ship, go back and repair and repeat for 12 hours for a new ship. The game's grinding aspect should start with little grinding and go up not start in space and continue on. Adding missions like escorting or courier will make the game more interesting. Also it will get people to move around instead of sitting around the port they spawn. Thats my thoughts atm after 30 hours of gameplay do with it what you like but adding content should be high on the list. Ok after another 48 hours of gameplay I have some more things to add. The game has another mistake you are not limited by gold (which I believe should be what limits you in such a game) but xp. There is a lot of people I have talked to that have 500k+ money but nothing to spend it on. This seems wrong. I should be trying my hardest to make best profit, be that trading or pvp or raiding not sit on missions for whole days trying to grind more xp. I know this is not a problem for all the players but my goal in this game is to sail a big warship and from what I know best xp comes from missions and so I spend 90% of my time just running mission after mission and it gets boring after 12hours of missions in one day. The thing is in a week I will only be able to spend 2hours a day on this game. this will mean I will need to spend weeks for a new ship and that would just not be worth it. King Regards Tristan
