  1. Never promise to lots of people if you can not keep it as developer. Once you broke your promise never promise again if you can not keep rest of your promise. About being beta player, who are you to give advice, you are just a player.

  3. It is totally broken ! Should 1/3rd of at least half the weight of what they are now. They should be different from normal ship notes at port, or can turn into higher weight when you reach a port.
  4. Good job, and good luck. I am really disappointed if this game gets released with same ROE / Port Bonus System / Rotten Trading except Cargo and Pax missions / unbalanced building costs (shallow/port bonus/no port bonus shipyards all costing same money) and many other things, including the flat, boring XP grind which even became more grinding with latest ranks !

  6. I feel you mate btw exactly my thoughts on ROE, so that means many people thinking similiar because it is logical and natural.
  7. This is just an idea, all numbers, everything is made up. Basic idea is level up is your goal. Your goal has sub missions and you are clearly rewarded for completing the goal. Mission can be optional but may be to accelerate the grind. Guys are bored of flat grind can choose to finish sub tasks or missions. For PVE/PVP/PATROL ZONES, I do disagree because developers decided WAR Server to be pvp only server. I wish it was the other way. Cause you have to pvp at some point, you can not run forever, yes you can avoid, but it needs lots of knowledge and experience of the game. So make some experience happen in patrol, instead of losing a Christian or 3 indiaman full of cargo. Pay less for the experience, yes it can be optional. Your choice... This idea is just generic idea which already exist in many pc or mobile game. Level ups can include all game aspects which is needed in WAR Server, from ship crafting to trade to pvp to ai battles time to time and all can be optional which intention to let player see everything about server, help accelerate grind and turn it into some fun with sub tasks plus rewards.   8. Hi guys, I have been thinking this for a long time, I have mentioned in many unrelated threads. I know many has similiar ideas. As new ranks has been introduced, which is very welcome addition because players kind of rushed to much bigger ships without learning vital game mechanics like manuel sailing, which ended up with lots of pain, rage cause they were losing their valuable/bigger ships to other players and to npcs! Time to time even effecting group battles. I really think this new rank system should get proper improvements and changes to fit the purpose. AIM: Change leveling up from mindless grinding of thousands of generic bots into something enjoyful and useful. A captain who gains rank, should be gaining real experience in a meaningful and enjoyable journey. HOW: Change how players rank up, set a final goal, define sub goals/missions, give true rewards and let captains feel the accomplishment. RESULT: Players see ranking up as a real rewarding accomplishment, they become more confident and more competent on the long journey. EXAMPLE: ( all numbers are made up just to give an idea) POST CAPTAIN RANK requirements: 1) 100K experience is needed. 2) 5 times patrol zone completed. 25K xp granted. (patrol related stuff can be optional but it should accelerate xp gain) 3) 5 player 5th rates or above hunted, assists counts as 0,25 kills. 35K xp granted. (pvp related stuff can be optional but it should accelerate xp gain) RANKING UP results: 1) A ranking up captain recieves a nice sealed handwritten letter from Admirality for his success.(not the ugly in game email) 2) He is given a ship permit fitting his new rank. A nice prize. ( Lower level captains should recieve ship note up to light frigates, wow!, make the note teak/wo fixed, I hate to see new guys redeeming fir/crew ships) 3) A small chest is earned! Includes a random ship upgrade. 4) Some Reals / Dobloons and small amount of Repairs are given by admirality for the effort. *** Isn’t it a nice result, what an accomplishment with great loot at the end. * Tutorials give big experience for initial ranks.( I would instead love to see scripted start campaign for the new players including the tutorial. At the end of the campaign details of nations map, and selection of where they will start, very encouraging easy nations according to low population to be recommended.) * Lower ranks should include missions like building farms/mines, doing some trade and delivery missions. Attending patrol zone event, establishing outposts etc. * Highest ranks may require RVR attendance with contested port battles. May require more pvp kills etc. but these should never be exessive not to block and lock progression due high difficulty. * Optional crafter / trader goals can be added for xp boost. * Unlocking same rate similiar rigger ship to full should give accelerated unlock for same class, or unlock 3 slots instead. I know this will be very important when game will be released. Thank you very much guys for spending your time and reading my purposal. We all love the game, hope it becomes much better, more fun for all of us. This kind of ranking up or similiar approach is surely needed, will be a great addition to Naval Action.
  9. Those ships exist, you pay with real life money once , and redeem them everyday with any wood of your choice. They are 6th 5th and 4th rates
  10. They are the experts for exploiting every mechanic,so no need to argue, also expert in crying in tribunals. We know them, we know them well, do we need to keep discussing, I do not think so. Problem is flawed ROE, there are big problems with this ROE.

  12. I wish it automaticaly popped up whenever there is new change, when once read, it will not pop but stays in important announcements tab. @admin I think it needs to be like above.
  13. @z4ys I mean there was a pause at development. I mean they were may be developing many things but we players did not feel the change aside from balancing and tweaking mechanics. So it felt like a finished game with some shortcommings. So people were playing not testing. I love the game like all who spend time here on forums. But I am not blaming negative reviews. Hope the reviews to be wiped after release, expecting NA to be over %70 rating if some easy but important things get tweaked.
  14. Spot on! This point of view is exactly same with mine. Make it an EA out of steam and do not worry about reviews. But you are in steam, selling the game for a good price, plus lot's of dlc, plus alt. selling approved. So people aside from sinking hundred or thousand hours into the game, they have paid some good money with dlc and alts, when things do not go well for them, they react big. This is very normal. People are reviewing the development process which they are paying for. Imo every alt. who can play the game and we even see some hundred hours on alts, have every right to leave a review on steam, bad or good. Main problem with NA steam reviews, game took too long to finish, still. Many big changes happened back and forth. So players started to play this game like a finished product and got upset with big changes and during long development. My honest feeling, game did not improve for a long time, I do not know the reason! Suddenly improvements started to come ui/missions etc. but also big chances to what players did not think to be broken. So overall this is the summary of steam reviews. The reviews is not about the game, it is about development process and decisions during development.

I would prefer battles always open, provided late joiners join far due to how much time passed outside battle Up to 2 minutes normal joining spot, starting from 2 minutes, you can join but with passing time you will be further away from where battle started. Fastest ship 15 kt per hour, so 15 min. later, it is around 4 nautical miles which is 7 kilometers So 15 min later a ship can join 7 kilometers away from where battle started. Numbers can be tweaked, and there can be a maximum fixed distance after 20 min. for joining battle. My other idea was, in OW, as time passes circles start to move away from swords.
  16. Hmm, as you are showing off... Meaningless to discuss anything with you, you are a waste of time. I do not give a shit how good pvp you are, trying to make ROE better for all. With this mindset you keep playing with same 50 pvp guys, but you will not have mercuries, pandoras and snows to sink. May be you fight against drone and moscal, and put screenshot of how you do not mind few br more, sinking their 2 first rates in your fat L'Ocean. Keep going like this...
  17. And why is there a 20 min. timer? It becomes trap for single guy. @--Privateer-- I give example of how I was against 2 first rate, one joining like 17 minutes, and battle closed 2-3 minutes later. So you must be mostly on stronger side, to trap an enemy and you enjoy it. Another issue when random people join your side, they increase BR points and they exit the battle, but their BR stays on battle. This is how in my Bellona ended up against 2 Bellona+1 trinco +1 pandora, what about this?
  18. Okay I do understand. I have a L'Ocean, I get tagged by Bellona. 900 BR vs 490 BR, enemy side is open? Another Hercules join enemy. 900 vs 590 enemy side open Pandora joins enemy 900 vs 690 enemy side open 17 min. from battle starts, Enemy is missing 210 BR, their side is open, my side is closed. 900 vs 210 is %23 difference. Now it is 18 min. from battle starts, enemy 1st rate joined. Battle will be closed in 2 min. Correct me if I am wrong? How do you like this ROE, do I have any chance to call a friend after 20 min.? Even if I had a chance to call, I will already sank and he will be ganked next. This is a good coordination of how to gank with new ROE, a sure win for gankers. @admin is there anything wrong with my fictional scenario? Real experience I chased Moscal's 1st rate, he tagged a 4th rate. I joined, the 4th rate started to run, moscal tried stern camp my Ocean, did not work, he went for 4th rate, I chased for long time, 4th rate trying to escape. When 4th rate exits, I thought nice 1 vs 1 duel for us. I noticed drone with another 1st he joined few minutes ago, and battle was closed due to 20 min. I did not like it.
  19. I hate 20 min. timer. Also aside from Pvp, Pve being subject to 20 min. is such a bad move. This 20 min. only favours coordinated groups. They will tag you with small ships, later join with force to destroy you. You can not underestimate a Hercules or Pandora, when you are fighting a strong and big enemy, those little ships with 32 carros will stern camp you to death. Battle has to close for ATTACKER only defender should get reinforcement if has lower BR, but who gives a shit? I prefer 3 min. timer all day all night compared to what we have. Line of sight plus 2 min should be the way to go. So sad that such important part of the game has been a big problem for such a long time, and has not been even close to acceptable solution.
  20. Pvp with fame. MostarP (p for pink). Farms noobs in front of KPR with her sister. So they climb up pvp leaderboard. But next to them shows bounty on them which is combat medals or dubloons on them, which can not be destroyed and must be redeemed only at friendly port. You can redeem only half of what you have gained in one trip out of your port. When you redeem half, remaining half stays on you plus your next prizes on that next sailing trip. Total amount you gained locked on your character is send to your chest after server maintenance and bounty is reset. MostarP and her sister keeps farming, their bounty increases. Who ever captain or captains sink them, gets the bounty on themself. This is an incentive to push pvp players on fighting each other. Casuals if they succeed tı sink guys with bounty will get big rewards, they will have reason to try. --------------- OVERALL GOOD SUGGESTIONS. But too complex, economy needs to be much simple, bank system with currency exchange rates controlled by devs to balance the currency. Victory marks should be the permit currency for all lineships. Who needs vm now? Rng permits for only few ships. 5th rate and below should not need permits to boost pvp and crafting. Sabicu / mahogany / caugarian should not be rare woods. But we have The DLC ships so just flush what I am telling, go redeem your teak/white oak rattvisen
  21. Starts with %3 and goes up to a maximum of %15-20. This way still rng but still very rewarding
  22. Overal very good post admin, thank you. What I started to do with my DLC ships, I know I should be doing it already. Keep redeeming them everyday until I get purple or gold ships. Please, please as we buy DLC to support developers, we buy dlc to avoid economy, please let DLC ships only to be 3/5 Blue with may be trim. So give crafted ships a meaning / a reason.
  23. A veteran DLC owner will start farming noobs with LRQ, step to Hercules if he wants (he does not need), next comes L'Hermione and finaly Ratvissen. During this time, new players will be still struggling with oak/oak or fir 6th rates and trying to replace lost ships in new economy. Having DLC ready at release is much worse than having 20 rare books knowledge if they ever existed. DLCs are making the total wipe useless for sure. So whatever good changes are done to the game, this is the bitter truth at the end. It does not seem like a happy ending.
  24. You can craft 5th level ships with ordinary woods, but crafting SOL with ordinary woods is huge waste of dubloons / reals / cm /vm. So no veteran will do it, unless he is experimenting stuff. Better find "THE WOODS" and craft it, it is worth it, in fact you have profited
