  1. Gold powder monkeys? I'm curious, how many of these even exist in the game right now? Now that crafters have reached level 50, many upgrades are now reasonably easy to obtain anyways at exceptional quality, but with drop only stuff like powder monkeys or marines, it's a bit too much like a korean grinding game. No one is crafting regular third rates, because Bellonas and Pavels cost basically the same and are so much better.
  2. If you have a suggestion, it would help if you also wrote down two more things 1. why do you think this should be done 2. how do you think will this improve the game I don't see any reason or any benefit to this idea.
  3. weren't you the guy who strongly urged players to not leave pvp2 and lashed out at anyone with a different opinion?
  4. for a 600k port, that entry fee would be 24k. That is a lot of money to shoot some towers.
  5. So you're saying because it's fine for PVE nothing needs to be done. You don't even get it. The pump doesn't work if you turn off survival. That means one leak at 90% armor and your target is sinking.
  6. If I were abusing a kadett account to buy flags to block attacks I'd be silent on that subject.
  7. But the pirates are by definition a multinational group - while English is only spoken in England, and Australia is part of England. See this map of Europe for reference Sorry, AUS is just so huge I can't make it fit anywhere without it extending into a different time zone...
  8. Does this war really need three locked threads? By the way, I've noticed the most vocal complainers about timers have not once posted in the port battle timer thread or any related feedback thread. Why not? Is it beneath you?
  9. Yes that's the big issue - 3rd rates require almost as much effort as first rates, and captured third rates are the only source for SOME players to get port battle ready. I don't believe that players would craft third rates instead of first rates in your scenario. If Third rates couldnt be captured, people would bring captured constitutions. But the gap between first rates and captured ships would widen. Now I don't want to see an artifical inflation of first rate build effort like Failing Career Studios tried with POBS and the lineship bundle, but given we just captured three third rates in 45 minutes including sailing between missions, I wonder why a shipwright can only craft a third rate every 30 hours. IMO if the choice wasn't between "1 Santi or 1.3 Bellonas" but rather 1 Santi or 4 Bellonas, then that would be far more viable. So if captured port battle ships had to go away, and for the sake of the economy I'd like that very much, it should be very easy to craft the most basic port battle ships.
  10. Well you can Yacht club if all you hold is Havana. You don't need to stand up to a SOL fleet if that is how you enjoy the game. You can't have the cake and eat it too. I find that statement hilarious when RAE can blockade free ports with 10 players for 12 hours straight. RAE, a clan you mentioned that can't craft big ships.
  11. Yes of course you are just making the numbers up. Nobody has numbers, but from what I see when I fight up there by Mugeres Spain seems to have a lot of players who are not interested in fighting PBs or using expensive ships. I see a load of Banderas and Brigadiers in Belle Poules, Frigates, Surprises and Renommees. We are not a 100 man clan, yet we can sustain two shipwrights putting every single labor hour into SOL. I'm pretty sure you could do the same if you only wanted to. But that requires some of your time put towards crafting, and not sitting in front of a Free Town with 5 Cutters and Yachts for 12 hours. I wonder how many of your players are craft level 0.
  12. Post #21 clearly explains what damage farming is.
  13. Then it needs to be made easier to craft third rates vs first rates. It currently isn't. Crafting a Santi is a mere 6900 hours on the parts, a Bellona 4000. So a Santi is not even twice as expensive and labor intensive to craft as a Bellona. Maybe significantly reduce the amount of hours required for third rates and below on the shipwright would allow them to pump these ships out in greater number while first rates become rare again. Right now, they're simply not rare, they're very common. I don't buy you Spanish have a hard time keeping up, though. I think your issue is your shipwrights are too busy building Renommees and Surprises over and over so you get fir+speed ships for everyone.
  14. Unlike the Swedes and DK-RUS, instead of opening tribunal threads against rogue clans, France has simply recaptured Basse-Terre.
  15. And it happened again just now
  16. I want a stream. Not a 30 minute highlight video of an entire week of looking for PVP.
  20. a magic circle destroying ship is hopefully not the long term feature planned for the game...
  21. I feel like a lot of the tension would go away if there was a way to generate more labor hours by playing the game. There's already so much money being generated right now that we're seeing a massive inflation, which can especially be seen on crafting notes which are now being bought through contracts for 125k in PR (which means the crafter is spending 131k on a note), that is 4 times as much as what the notes went for before the patch. And the ship prices reflect this as well. Exceptional 5th rates are now being sold at 400k+ because players can afford it because kill/assist money induced inflation. People are asking for shipwrights to click their mats into ships for them, and when the price question comes, I flat out state "I can make 6 high grade notes instead, so your Bellona click is gonna cost you 600k" - and they accept that. It's pretty obviously a case of one resource being available in a fixed, very low amount and the other being available in infinite amounts.
