  1. Sounds like you should widen your horizons a bit.. I think it could be very interesting to get variety in PBs - Gotten very boring to keep seeing the same old 25 v 25 Victory Vs Victory battles. Frigates can be a pain in the ... for lineships, of course you can commit do demasting them but then you'll be lacking the firepower onto the enemy lineships...
  2. ? Right now the BR available is not limited, so logically you'd want to get as many heavies in as possible. But when there is a BR limit, e.g. 10'000 BR, you can't take 1st rates only anymore, so you'll have to figure out a nice mix of Lineships and supportive frigates, since 10 1st rates would most likely get wrecked versus 25 3rd rates (just an example)
  3. very true, and what about giving the clan controlling the port more control over the port battle type, e.g. make it so a small clan can set a PB to 10-15 players per side, and maybe even some BR mixing in that..? Some players said that this suggestion of letting the clan decide the PB size would be nonsense because you shouldnt be able to tell a big attacking force outside a port that they magically can't join a port battle.. But there currently is a game mechanic which limits it to 25 already, even though sometiems there are way more players outside ready to join action. So basically its just a suggestion of adjusting an existing game mechanic, nothing totally new.

Signaling hat den (damals noch 5 Minuten) Battle join timer overruled, sprich konntest du mit Signaling jemanden angreifen, und wenn das BR bereits ausgeglichen war konnte niemand mehr draussen joinen, egal wenn das Battle genau davor war. Signaling Regeln sollte eigentlich nach dem Join Timer angewendet werden.
  5. But I think they're developping Legends for that reason. Would have liked to see the both aspects combined in one game, never saw the small battles hurting anyone basically the old pvp event zones around la navasse to la tortue - could work out well, why not .)
  6. I think current masts are fine given you can set up a new pair of masts every 10 minutes. And its not like it used to be anymore, when you could go for the whole mast. Now you actually have to know the pen values / mast thickness and decide if you want to go for top or mid mast sections. Cant really be described as abusing game mechanics anymore I think. A surprise SHOULD lose its topmast section from 1 well placed broadside of a connie.
  7. And here its being suggested to adjust a game mechanic because after all its an alpha where testers are meant to suggest stuff ? I think it'd be great to have more variety in Port Battles. Nothing to do with carebear
  8. You are controlling the attackers on the same level when setting the max number of attackers possible to join to 25 or 15?
  9. Well its already limited to 25 even though sometimes there are 50 - 100 defending players outside the port? how does it make sense to not let them join aswell? because it wouldnt be fair at all.

  12. Spieler mit Contraband sind aber seit längerem, bestimmt einem Jahr, nicht mehr angreifbar für die eigene Nation, ausser natürlich Piraten
  13. Also ich find die idee für ein bisschen mehr Action in dem gebiet nice wer pve fahren will kann dies eh dank reinforcments ohne bedenken in der ordentlichen uneinnehmbaren starterregion tun.
