For now its looking like the majority wants repairs to be limited to 1 each. Regarding the other stuff: Woods should not be set to stone. You should be able to go after your preferences and maybe even get different setups in your own team, e.g. a cedar teak fast raking supportive ship and a teak white oak tank. However I agree that there currently are some OP upgrades such as cartagena refit around, however it would be next to impossible for me / us to make sure noone is using none of them. Players could send me screenshots of ships without the banned modules, but that doesnt mean that those are the ships they were effectively going to use. So I guess we will have to live with that. And it's more about actually getting some PvP content to the server, that is not a port battle, for some variety, as small, equal OW PvP actions are extremely rare nowadays.

Well no, the family members can still play the game, and if they were playing just like another player they wouldnt just live for the existence of their other family member and trade everything to them - But rather play for themselves. Some trading would still be allowed, sure.

there's that web-MMO I used to play a couple of years ago where you had to build up your city / military and conquer other clans towns; alts would be very useful there - They made it so if you wanted to use the same IP twice, you had to apply for a shared IP thingy, and then were not allowed to do certain stuff, e.g. only directly trade to each other in a limited amount etc. If you didnt apply for a shared connection, you'd get banned right away

In the nation-selection-screen it clearly states that pirates are the ONLY ones able to attack each other - if you don't like that idea, don't join them

*bump* 7 Teams registered so far, for a proper knockout stage (8 teams, quarter finals) we would need a total of 12 teams, in which case the team on the last spot per group will not make it to the knockout stage. This event, in my opinion, is a great chance to get some nice, fun and ballanced fights - So don't hesitate to register You can only win, fun and experience wise

I also do not think we should ban certain builds.. Sure, Live Oak White Oak is super tanky, but it's not practical, at all. In the right hands a teak - white oak build will do much better. IMHO more options are better in this case.

TBH I dont think we should put the limits too high. Teams should be able to customize the ships to their likings, and additionally it's going to be very hard, if not impossible, to make sure ALL the ships in battles actually do not have any of the banned refits. Someone can send me a screenshot of a Trinc without Cartagena refit, but that doesnt mean I can be 100% positive that he is going to use that specific setup.

Roger - Are you able to record battles and / or livestream them? In the group stage (groups consist of 4 teams each, of which the best 2 will qualify to the knockout stage) each team will battle each team once - which means you will have 3 battles. For now I'm thinking to set the group stage to about 2 weeks, should provide plenty of time for every team to do their battles. Once the groups are decided (by RNG), you will have to contact the other teams in your group and agree on a battle date (and place). Remember that in every official battle there needs to be at least one referee / judge in order for it to count. Later I will update the second post with a timetable to when judges are available - Personally I'm working fulltime and therefore on workdays can only be online from about 17.30 to 21.00 servertime - However on the weekends I am mostly available. You could also just do all your battles on the weekends, given your opponents agree.

No - but if they are, we will have to make use of outlaw battles, as in all participants of a battle join an already ongoing outlaw battle, so that they all can join in at the same time - rather than some having to rejoin manually and potentially screw up the spawn. Same goes for when the teams matched against each other are from the same nation - ONLY possibility is to make use of outlaw battles. But I think it's important that ALL battle participants join in at the same time - I will update the second post with how I imagine the tag for battles to look like soon. Yes
