  1. The ship was built in 1760 like a 58 guns ship of line, equipped with 24 x 24lbs, 26 x 18lbs and 8 x 8lbs. The ship was reduced to a merchant vessel, the lower gun deck was removed to get more space to cargo, in the end, the "new" vessel only kept the stern ports, and was equipped 34 gun ports, with 26 x ¿18lbs? in the upper gun deck ( I don´t know yet if the vessel kept the original weapons) and 8 x 8lbs in the quarterdeck/ forecastle link to the drawing: https://pinake.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/017b_-plano-sistema-a-la-inglesa.jpg Some photos of the wooden model in the Naval museum of Madrid https://www.google.com/culturalinstitute/asset-viewer/modelo-de-nav%C3%ADo-la-flora-de-58-ca%C3%B1ones-rebajado-para-transporte-depertrecho-c-1760/JAHTv83ax8oIeg?hl=en
  2. A shame that there aren't many ships to mention in those centuries from the german states, but at least the Wapen von Hamburg was a nice ship. I'd dream to see her in the game - one will suffice there don't have to be all four variants The first three were convoi ships and the fourth a frigate. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wapen_von_Hamburg_(1669) http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wapen_von_Hamburg_(1686) http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wapen_von_Hamburg_(1722) http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wapen_von_Hamburg_(1740)
  3. Hello Captains.. We want to bring a generic 2nd rate into the game. Please suggest a model. Include references, paintings and links to tech drawings if they exist. This is urgent - we want to start building it asap. Time period 1700-1800 Guns 80-98 Countries preferred: Sweden, France, Russia, Spain, Turkey, maybe Denmark, Britain is also ok but want to make some other nation We want it to be a generic ship - so would prefer vessels with less esquisite decorations If you have already suggested a similar model in other topic repost here.
  4. I found a forum with details about many ships and some plans. It would be cool if some of those ships could find their way into this game. HMS Neptune 98 gun 2nd rate http://www.kenthistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=16545.0 HMS Formidable 98 gun 2nd rate http://www.kenthistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=19026.0 HMS Spartan 38 gun frigate http://www.kenthistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=18132.0 HMS Royal George 100 gun 1st rate http://www.kenthistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=15058.0 HMS Ville de Paris 110 gun 1st rate http://www.kenthistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=17732.0 HMS Ardent 64 gun 3rd rate http://www.kenthistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=18096.0 HMS Leviathan 74 gun 3rd rate http://www.kenthistoryforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=17025.0 And many many more ships.
  5. At first when i saw this vessel i thought that it was something of an ugly duckling however the more i look the better she looks (more modern than a British vessel of the same date) She is the Danish 78 gun Norge 1800. I love the way the stern narrows so that it looks like a 3rd rate with a frigate stern (should make stern raking difficult) plus her armament is impressive. http://threedecks.org/index.php?display_type=show_ship&id=704
  6. I should realy wanted to see this ship in the game. the swedish regalkseppet Kronan that was in that time one of the biggest ships in the world. It could have 126 cannons onboard from 6 to 36 punds cannons. Build 1668, sank outside Öland in battle with denmark and holland. Of some reason they did remove some of her barlast before the battle so in a turn she did take in water in the lower cannon port and turn on the side and explode 1676. This ship had 850 men in the crew. I hade love to sail this ship in the game.

  10. Hi all, just wanted to post a ship suggestion here for the next 2016 poll not sure if this is the correct way to do it or if there is already a thread for it. Either way I am basically quoting an earlier post by Ink on the shipyard forums for the ship Delft, a 56-gun fourth rate of the Dutch Navy commissioned on the 16th of May 1783. I think it looks gorgeous and would help fill the void in the 4th rate ship line-up at the moment Let me know what you think?
  11. HI all, Does anyone have or has seen any blueprints, plans, references, or best yet ship models online of the Boyne Class HMS PRINCE OF WALES? There were only two in the class. She was built in 1794 and was a 98 gun 2nd rate.
  12. Sketch of 130-gun ship proposed by Patrick Miller to King Gustav III of Sweden in 1790. In Statens Sjöhistoriska Museum, Stockholm. Found this drawing on google and thought it looked awesome even tho I know there is absolutely zero chance it will make it into the game I just wanted to show you guys this beast. I dont even know if this is real so if it is not I'm sorry but I just thought it was awesome
  13. Hey guys i know that there's already some topics about this ship in the forum but i got a bit more information wich i don't know if it's fully trustworthy related to the plans. https://arquivohistorico.marinha.pt/details?id=6607, that's the site from where i got them it's a single picture and doesn't show much, isn't possible to read what it says and i don't know if it can help in making the ship. (I'm not sure that's the plant of this ship) Got two pictures of the plans (they're the same but one has more zoom than the other one) and two paints of the ship: I'm not sure if this is the plan of the first Nossa Senhora da Conceição or the second one wich is the one that was renamed to Príncipe Real but im almost sure is from the second one. ( Is the ship at the center ) More information: http://3decks.pbworks.com/w/page/915331/HMFMS%20N%20S%20da%20Conceicao%20%281771%29 Crew: 950 1771 - 90 guns = 34 guns of 32 pounders ||34 guns of 24 pounders ||12 guns of 18 pounders ||10 guns of 8 pounders. 1793 - 86 guns = 34 guns of 32 pounders ||34 guns of 24 pounders ||4 guns of 24 pounders ||14 guns of 18 pounders. 1794 - 98 guns = 34 guns of 32 pounders ||34 guns of 24 pounders ||20 guns of 12 pounders ||10 guns of 8 pounders. 1798-1800 - 110 guns= 34 guns of 32 pounders ||34 guns of 24 pounders ||28 guns of 12 pounders ||14 guns of 8 pounders. 1807 - 78 guns= 34 guns of 32 pounders ||34 guns of 24 pounders ||6 guns of 24 pounders ||4 guns of 12 pounders. Length: 60.96 m Breadth: 15.24 m I'm trying to get more information, any help is appreciated. I really want this ship to make it into the game! :/ It's all, say what you think about the plans, give your opinion, criticize, everything that might help on this!
  14. 'San José' HMS San Josef was a 114-gun first rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy. She was captured from the Spanish Navy at the Battle of Cape St Vincent on 14 February 1797 (when she was still named in Spanish San José). In 1809 she served as the flagship of Admiral John Thomas Duckworth.
  15. Captains.. Some one posted the link some time ago on the website that featured a beautiful french 74 (or other lineship) cross section with crew roles, beautiful pictures of every crew member and other interesting information.. Does anyone by any chance remember or know this link. Cant seem to be able to find it again. One of the examples from the site - i saved a lot from the website but cannot find the link itself.
  16. The French ship Glorieux was a second rate 74 gun ship in the French Navy. Built by Clairin Deslauriers at Rochefort and launched on 10 August 1756, she was rebuilt in 1777. She was captured by the British and she is a modest 74 with a nice stern and is fitting to be in French and Spanish Navy best but she would be a great British vessel too. Painting:
  17. HMS Revenge (3rd Rate 74) Large 74 guns 3rd rate with 30x 24p guns instead of usual 18p on upper gun deck was finished in 1805 and participated in Trafalgar Battle in the second column of C.Collingwood. After firing at two third rates HMS Revenge got under fire from 4 other 3rd rates and 1st rate Principe-de-Asturias suffering from heavy casualties and partially dismasted but still able to return fire until being supported by HMS Dreadnought and HMS Thunderer. It was the only ship built to her draught and is considered to be one of the first ships of Royal Navy painted with the Nelson Checker. Upd. Btw got few hours looking for more drawings and I start to believe they're not picturing real HMS Revenge of 1805 (even sites and pictures claiming that) except the plan above. Try to count number of ports (and there are also some other details). Compare picture at the top, this one this and finally this Yep, that's right, all of them are HMS Revenge of 1859 as it seems =( I wonder how many wrong sources of information we got about our vessels in the game... I even didn't want to start this topic after that but I decided to post it just to warn others - be cautious looking for info and pictures. They can be very misleading.
