  1. I compared my choices in this poll with what the majority picked and they do not match anywhere. im worried
  2. Great idea, this should become a game feature. then its still possible to do a sneak attack, yet the most honorable thing to do is to announce your attack.
  3. No, I do not want to have clan assets at all, nor clans for that matter. I think the players are already subdivided into 8 factions. Where all nations (and the pirates) already have there own pool of resources, that cant be accessed by other nations. Splintering off into smaller clans within the nations seems like a real bad idea to me. The loyalties will no longer be to the nation but to the clan. These kind of independent clans would fit better as a pirate group in my opinion. If you want to help people, help the players in your nation, there is a good system for that in place already. Where you can lower the price of resources in the nations market or sell nice ships on the national market to your nations brothers and sisters that all fight for the same goal as you. The need to form a little elite group that is disconnected from the nation, totally escapes me.
  4. So you want 6 to 8 people to do the work for you while only You and a few of your mates have access to the loot?
  5. What are all the reason why we need a honor kill advancement system? Then maybe we can find another way to reach those goals. This honor kill advancement system seems very forced to me and i personally do not like it one bit. I would have hoped that the safe transportation of resources would be the drive-force behind conflicts. And in that way slow down everyones progression through the ranks.
  6. I don't like to HAVE to sail anything or HAVE to sink anything. Its putting constrictions on my freedoms as a trader
  7. Show me the Battle Rating (BR) of ships in shop and when i buy a fleet.
  8. I like it but the amount of control over the guns would be a bit unrealistic. I don't think they could coordinate this fire sequence, back in the day.
  9. Sunk: - 0/5 Lynx, sailing a Lynx - 0/5 Cutter, sailing a Lynx - 2/5 Brig, sailing a Lynx - 2/3 Lynx, sailing a Cutter Captured: - 1/3 Trader Lynx, sailing a Cutter - 0/2 Belloni, sailing a Cutter
  10. Pirates are known for speaking truth! A Duel on neutral ground should settle this.
  11. We now have: -the ability to flee battle -ships with 5 durabilities -instant ship repair in OW -5 possible backup ships in every owned port -Possible reenforcement -sailing away with a ship with 80 patched holes. If you would reintroduce repairs in battle then something else in the list above has to change i think.
  12. If they will make FFB Wheel support, i will make a wooden frame on mine!! I would like them to lock the ships view in OW in the zoomed in position for everyone. Accept when you order a crewman to climb the mast for a minute. That would make thinks much more exciting on OW.
  13. Maybe if you are really good at this navigating, but you have to guess the speed; since it varies a few knots when your sailing and when the wind changes slightly and then your speed does too. Time flies by so you might make small errors in the time you sailed between course changes and then you might deviate if you're not focused
  14. I would like to see something like this added. Where you can select the average knots at which the ship has traveled in the top right and then you can move the vector-line in the direction you sailed. Making the line longer would mean longer sailing at e.g. 14 knots for 2 hours 40 minutes. When you change the speed to 8 knots then the line you would get for a travel duration of 2 hours 40 minutes would automatically be shorter. So really, someone only has to change the knots the ship sailed and then point the line in the direction you sailed and adjust its length until you see 2h40m (which is the time you sailed until you changed course )
  15. I would also like to see a honor system. Let it be the way to deal with nasty players who find fun in picking unfair fights or who disregard the treaties It's nation has with other nations.
  16. My humble idea's for the trading system part 1 The AI Traders will be send by players on trade routes. (a player orders a AI trade-ship to transport resource X to another port and collect Resource Y and sail back.) Each time an AI trader arrives at his destination port the ports market is influenced. Resources are only produced in a small area on the map, from there AI and player Traders will transport the resources with profit to the rest of the map. Nations will have to decide who there allies and enemies are and allow or disallow there trade-ships in there area. As a simplified example: lets pretend there are only 4 resources in the game. Then each of these resources would only be produced near 1 of the four corners of the map.Making it less available on the opposite side of the map. Only neutral ports should be producing Iron/Copper/gold/Silver Ore, or else it would be to easy to monopolize it by a nation through barricades. Nation-owned ports could then produce resources that are more commonly found, like Oak and hemp. Barricading access to a resource could become to Over Powered and totally dry out a rival nations supply. Halting there ship production. This could be considered good fun or turn out to make 1 nation too powerful and the game would lose its balance. So a solution to this could be a new kind of trading system that might work better but it's just an option. *all the prices i name are just examples that would be balanced. This new trading system would make all resources available in any quantity at any port. However the price would vary alot from port to port depending how close to the source of the resource the port is located. For example (when the world opens for the first time) Iron ore in All ports is available at it's maximum price of 100 gold. Accept for the few ports that have an iron ore mine and sell it at 10 gold. Whenever a (AI) trader delivers ore to port that is depleted the price go's down to 99 or lower. Until that ore is bought and the price in that shop will go up to its max of 100 gold per iron ore which will come out of the ports never-ending emergency supply. Where you can buy iron for 100 gold you can sell it for half that, 50 gold. I hope that with a trade system like this, a nation can fight it's way out of a blockade by only using it's Money reserves. Trading would become very risky but highly profitable. More reasons to go to war or make alliances however you want to see it. Legitimate reasons to sink/capture enemy trade-ships.etc. I would really like to know if you think this is possible to make or what should be changed. I will answer any question you might have. teatrader
  17. Beautifull windmap Wauw! Looks like the centre of the storm is above Deadman's Cay Lol. How appropriate.
  18. Why did you have to give it away after that beautifull first post?
  19. If im not mistaken the sun goes down at 21:00 hours and raises at 3:00 that is 6 hours of darkness compared to 18 hours of light. I think that is resonable. Like the idea of lanterns.
  20. Restarting fixed all my issues after this Server problem
  21. Id like to see time inside the ports. And possibly the teleport timer too
  22. I think they are restructuring the forums and all we need is patience
