So...here is the confusing part then. All my assets are still at those ports. I lost all my ships, but all my resources, refits, books, materials are all still in those ports. I understand the warnings, I really do...but in all the time I have played, the warnings pertained to losing all that stuff once you leave the port. I'm honestly fine if I can't get any of the ships back as it was my fault...I just feel the warning is not specific enough?

Advanced Economy
Teutonic replied to George Washington's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I'd only like this is everyone could have more buildings. and extracting resources from said buildings did not use labor hours, only gold. ...otherwise currently I don't think it's simple, I think the resource extraction is trash due to needing both Labor AND gold AND then only have a limit of 5 buildings. -
all for testing, at the expense of my ships

I was managing my outposts and lost pretty much all my ships. 1. Teleport to outpost 2. delete outpost in outpost group 3. remake the outpost (essentially changing where it is in the order) I thought if I TPs to the outpost first and be in a ship would not kill any of the ships and well, seems I was wrong about this. my warehouse assets are all still there though... Anyway it seems to be the case that in fact you do lose all your ships even if you're in the same outpost. Is there any way to get the ships back? I know there is a warning that if you LEAVE the port you lose everything, but I never left the port.

Port De Paix - French vs Pirates BR - 7,200 Outcome - Pirates successfully defend AAR - France decided to form a line and try to stick with the line. Our plan was to focus on a couple enemy ships and then have Our Bucs finish them off. Being a weekday night not many people could make it with work tomorrow, but nonetheless it was enjoyable to have everyone show up. The pirates were able to capture and hold all 3 circles while France got hold up engaging the main pirate force, we were unable to maneuver in the channel and so had to give up on the circles which ultimately was part of our demise. In the grand scheme of things the outcome was realized after the first line "crash." Battle ended with 2 French ships sunk and if it had lasted any longer it would have likely been 1-2 more. Hope to have more in the near future.

Seems with the more recent PBs we have a slight ship variation for PBs which is nice. I await patiently for the Br balance to add more diversity. Looks like an incredible fight though.

Pirate player joins the same side for green on green
Teutonic replied to Teutonic's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
The rule that states you are not allowed to damage players on the same side is written here: http://forum.game-labs.net/topic/16347-warning-green-on-green-friendly-damage-is-no-longer-allowed/ As for US, Brit, and French players using the this tactic I have a number of times told them that is is a bad use of the game and they should not use it at all. In fact I advise folks ahead of time to not go along with the same players. If you find players violating the rules please do report them, i will not defend the actions of players who violate the rules no matter what nation and i heavily encourage the developers to come to decisions on what they deem violations or just bad gameplay. -
Pirate player joins the same side for green on green
Teutonic replied to Teutonic's topic in Tribunal - Трибунал
I do listen to both sides. But it is currently a clear rule that you are not allowed to target or damage a player on the same side as you. You joined the side of the french, therefore you are not allowed to shoot players on the same side. Next time, join the spanish side to attack french. -
On Global pirate player "Ubira" of the AIB clan recently joined a battle on the same side as player "Amiral Lou." Amiral lou is a french player who initiated a battle against Spanish ships and some pirates joined both the French and Spanish side. Player "Ubira" joined the French side with the intention of damaging Amiral lou even though in the battle they are both considered "green." Amiral Lou has asked that I bring up this situation as he did not agree to the green on green damage and English is not Amiral's primary language. He asks for the Developers to look into this and determine if punishment is needed. In the picture below it show the players involved as well as the intention of the accused to indeed cause green on green damage.

[crafting] Wood and trim modifiers [Patch 11.0]
Teutonic replied to Black Spawn's topic in Guides - development forum
I personally view Teak/Teak better than Sab/Sab - but I suppose that's because i value the higher speed bonus over the HP/Tank bonus. -
Ship RAM effects
Teutonic replied to Celtiberofrog's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I am in agreement with @Aegir. I wouldn't mind seeing more damage done to the enemy through a ram, but the rammer must endure consequences for ramming as well. Currently the unlimited repairing makes this a moot point. -
POLL: A change in PvP mark distribution
Teutonic replied to Lz3's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I'm not sure. I haven't tested at all the new mods and books from pvp marks unfortunately so I can't say if they create a large gap between pvp and non pvp ship builds. I'd love for cosmetics though like ship paints. I think pvp marks should not be allowed to be traded either, only redeemed through the store for assets, mods, or books. -
Clan Warehouse slots
Teutonic replied to Anolytic's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
just asking, how many tier upgrades are there for the clan warehouse? the next upgrade for me costs 3 million gold. I assume that is for the third upgrade -
Bribe to open Port battles
Teutonic replied to Wilson09's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I see this having interesting merit. Could it be like so: Clan A puts a reward out for any clan to take Bridgetown, lets say it's a 5 million gold reward. Clan a must have at least 5 million gold in their warehouse in order to do this. Once the reward is set, for a week it is "posted." Clan B decides to attack the port, if they successfully take it, they get the reward transferred to their warehouse. If no one collects the reward, it goes back to Clan A's warehouse after the period is done. Something like that? -
POLL: A change in PvP mark distribution
Teutonic replied to Lz3's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I am sympathetic to those who feel getting nothing at the end of a long fight is a rather huge demotivation to fight. Basically players that otherwise would have fought now won't fight unless they know with 100% certainty that they will win. I am against awarding pvp marks to both side, but I would much prefer to bring back the old reward system for damage. Give experience and gold for damage again, we already have the experience back and i think that's great. Alt abuse for gold and xp isn't really a problem in my mind. -
from a curious eye looking to find "anything" in sabicu and cag. What would you say are their bonuses over say, teak? what incentives do those woods have for me to pick them over a combination like fir/fir, teak/teak, or teak/wo?

Updated Diplomacy to represent more closely what has been happening between nations in the past week or 2. - Pirate Aggression seems to be on a downward trend in taking ports. OW PvP and PB defenses they are still going strong and showing they mean business - US/Brit - Seem to continue the trend of taking ports that are neutral to expand their influence. some question if it's needed. They are also initiating port battles against the pirates more recently. Maybe PvP morale is rising? - Dutch continue to take more ports, the aggressive act from Denmark seem to have subsided but who knows if the dutch have something planned to evict the vikings out. - France is expanding influencing around New Orleans as well as attempting to take back Haiti. Reports from France states that Haiti is considered a core region and must be taken back against any who hold territory there. - Denmark/Sweden are continuing their "slumber expansion" preferring to stay away from territory already claimed -Prussia/Russia/Poland -- Reports say Prussia is content with the land they own, Russia has yet to send their navy to the Caribbean, and Poland is attempting to get to the Caribbean faster than Russia

Port - port de paix (France vs. Pirates) Br limit - 7,200 Outcome - pirates successfully defend I heard from folks that it was an enjoyable battle. Relative even numbers with the pirates having slightly more BR. Hope to see more conflict and maybe the US and Brits will find their footing as well. I was not at the battle so if someone from the battle wants to give a more detailed report, please do so.

Looks as though you could have wrecked them too though with all those Wasas. Simply put you had the better fleet in that pb anyway in my opinion.

Add PvP to Naval Action
Teutonic replied to Lord Gud's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
not saying it's ideal. There are groups that PvP - just need a group to PvP them too. -

Port Battles are PvP too. lazy players wanting PvP, but expecting it at their front door will not get PvP. -
Poll on limited use of repairs in battles
Teutonic replied to admin's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I remember distinctly of how not only would players kite, but everyone would aim to demast the enemy. whoever was demasted first won - my main worry is that yet again it'll just be the Demast gameplay because who needs to shoot the Hull when you can demast, grape, and then board without worry. EDIT - I am sympathetic to those who want to limit repairs though and really I do sometimes find myself wishing repairs were limited. -
Poll on limited use of repairs in battles
Teutonic replied to admin's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
I hesitate to vote either way because... On one hand the unlimited repairing cause some issues i find annoying in pvp....but in pve i find it a godsend We wouldn't have been able to do the epic mission for example if repairs were limited.
