  1. Yeah thats screwed me over a few times in some of the missions, kinda annoying when the AI goes 'ahh but m8, ship ovah daer....' /;w;/
  2. Im at 13/23 but yeah im waiting for the next patch lol.

The torpedos were litterally the reason she started to flood badly and also rolled on to her side and started to list over. and of course its a proper test, she was engaged in combat, no better test than that. She got hit by at least 11-13 torps and 6 bombs (not too mention any unconfirmed reports since over 280 aircraft attacked her). Both ships had major design flaws and their torpedo protection didnt live up to par either.
  4. nah you just use the symmetry modifier in 3dsmax or mirror for other 3d modelling software, modelling for blocky shapes like turrets isn't hard for those who have some modelling experience. And with animating you can just create some bones for one gun and then duplicate said bone onto the other gun barrels and the animation should be the same if done correctly.

Yeah when you select a 280mm or 305mm for example you should have the ability to first choose the amount of guns ranging from 1-5 for example then choose what the turret will look from 20 different designs or something and maybe 20 different gun barrel designs as well. Hey maybe even the ability to put like animal heads on the end of the barrels like dragon mouths or something for further customisation and the ability to have words or decals on said turrets and the ships themselves, plus camos schemes that range from purely historic to beyond so 1 tone, 2 tone, 3 tones, 4 tone, and also different patterns to break up the colours. Jus a little thought for customisation.

  8. True. Yeah, theres a lot too still be fixed, but they can only work so fast i guess. I dont mind if they had entire updates dedicated to fixing things (i would be fine with this). And yeah i find this game fun as well, been waiting bloody ages for a game like this.

It's important because of the massive changes and testing that takes place during an alpha, plus it is far more unstable than beta or released versions of the game hense why comparing full releases and alphas (especially closed ones) makes no sense. And yeah i know about the cv comments just making sure peeps understand why comparing a unfinished computer and a finished computer that works and complain the unfinished one doesnt work makes no sense. Same, actually i think this will be the most likely course of action. Probs maybe the second DLC or Third due to the major changes it would bring to gameplay. True, would be misleading.
  10. Yeah, but i doubt the devs will do dat doe. Only if it makes sense, especially with such tiny team in place and if a considerable pop of the playerbase wants it. Too be honest for 3 people this is very impressive for an alpha nevermind a game.

Oh no i understood his point but its pointless, you litterally comparing apples and oranges the game hasnt been released yet and therefore we have no clue what the game will turn out 3-12 months from this exact date. It's why we have to be patient about things, i think peeps are forgetting the insanely large scope of the game coupled with an insanely small dev team. If this game was a full release then sure i would agree but since it hasn't even reached stage 3 of being an indev closed alpha test its hardly fair nor logical to compare it to fully released games with multiple updates from said release. I hope you understand where im coming from.
  12. Well considering its singleplayer atm theres no excuse not to have options to disable such things. If its multiplayer then sure whatever, but in a singleplayer game? let the player decide. I think we should focus more on the here now with dreadnoughts and BB's, i would like CV's but i realise that getting the game up to par first is more important. Hope i dont sound condisending at all.
  13. Both are released and not in early closed alpha nor on PC. I get your point but its like comparing apples to oranges.
  14. I don't really mind either way, i like the system as it is but if adds the customizability of ships then yeah. Although bear in mind only 3 guys are working on this, so it will take them so time to get around everything (hopefully this game becomes pretty successful so moar devs can be hired).
  15. Ahh ok, with only 3 devs thats probs gonna be the thing doe. Which im fine with as well, never knew the team was that small makes me appreciate everything they do considerably more.
  16. Yeah thats fine, never knew the dev team was so small. Which actually goes to show how talented everyone is working there (seriously this like open beta level work for a closed alpha/indev stage this is very promising). Seriously take your time, id rather have a polish product that is delayed than a game that is rushed released and is then marked as bad. Feel like an arse lol. Hope i was too condicending with muh posts. Im suprised you have a road map was gonna assume it would ready by alpha 6-8. That and i thought you had 30+ peeps working on the project (too used to triple 'AAA' companies and their 'funnies'). Thank you guys and keep up the noice work!
  17. aaaaaaahhhhhhh, ok didnt realise the dev team was THAT small. Well i fully understand why lol. If it's easier they can just do it when they have the time to do so, that they aren't rushed and stressed out. Sorry if i sounded insentive, guess i need to used to the fact not even dev studio is a triple aaaaaaayy company (hope you get the reference). From only 3 peeps the work they have done is beyond amazing actually, i appreciate how much work they put into from the modelling, texturing (i need to get better at that) to the insane amount of code that is required for any of this too work. ill keep my gob shut a bit moar regarding this though. thank you!

  20. oooooh noice, hopefully we can design corvettes and frigates too. Might play as the nations with smaller fleets first just to see if i can do well as them.

Some communication of somekind is needed from thes devs, as this not only shows in another way they are taking things from the forums in retrospect but also we can see a bit of their thinking and can help with suggestions (not going to hard on them as we want to maintain a decent relationship between player and dev). It also makes sense since are all alpha testers so our feedback is more important than those post release as we need to feedback the correct information to the devs to ensure mechanics are fine tuned, bugs are sorted and lots of things to do that have multiple choices to suit most peoples needs (you can't please everyone but if at least half my needs are statisfied im fine in general). What i dont want to see is a valve, with no communication no idea what they are doing and therefore no ability to excerise any changes or suggestions in anyway shape or form. Even if carriers werent going to be implemented i would be fine with that since i understand this game is not solely focused on carriers and i won't simply quit the game just because one/two aspect/s of the game is removed or altered (yeah i might be annoyed/frustrated/angreh).
  22. Well what we have is fine, just have it so that if you place things in weird areas you get penalties. like shoving turrets on the very ends or something. Otherwise you start to restrict design work too much and then forced to go for a lot of meta and samey samey builds over and over (defeats the purpose of the game). I understand though and it is a good idea for historical modes. I think the ability to customise where most of the armour will go and how your armour scheme will look would be better so, you can have the entire side 300mm's or some 400mm strips instead and citadel could be split into two or seperate sections or one massive block if peeps wanted unusual designs etc. Still a good idea for historical modes doe.
