  1. I prefer the latter option but have the currencies for each nation at that time. Makes it more authentic, even if i am british lol.
  2. Well it does mention when you pre-order that a key would be supplied so, checking your emails should of been you know... But eh at least the problem is solved i guess.
  3. Yeah, i like multiplayer but that should be secondary rather than primary unless the game is just going for multiplayer only (csgo, rainbow six siege, fortnite, paladins, etc). Its why age of empires 2 continued for 13+ years because of the great formula it had, plus thanks to all the new expansions plus the HD edition and definitve one as well the games life is going to last for another 30+ years which is pretty considerable and thats just for multiplayer alone nevermind singleplayer. I didn't realise from the depths had multiplayer, it seemed far more like a singleplayer game. It's like making the kerbal space programme multiplayer only (oh god lol) would be a bloody disaster in itself. Just look at warthunder in how a multiplayer game looks when balance is mostly skwered for realism. (KA-50 russian heli being able to kill everything from beyond render range and not even radar assisted and guided missle SPAA's have the range to fire at it). I rarely see updates from the depths now which is sad.
  4. Yeah didn't battlefleet gothic armada 2 basically die because of this? I was hoping for a bigger campaign with a ship designer and also colour scheme maker plus other things too. In BFG 1 the only multiplayer they had was limited to 1v1 2v2 which was fine as it was clearly an afterthough, hell even co-op campaign would of been enough. Shame about Cossacks 3 as well another game that if they had focused more into singleplayer and mod support would of probably been more successful.
  5. Like how he doesnt bother responding to his own thread, probs a troll. Humans have always been a bit 'speshul' OP being a prime example of this. Not knowng basic keys like printscreen or just clicking the launcher and signing in (who in tf actually goes to the directory to open a game?). Surprised he manages to turn his pc on.
  6. We would need direct mod support and also the ability to transfer obj.files from 3ds max, blender, maya, 4d cinema, houdini etc. And have the game recognise them and be able to be stored by the game for the AI too use as well. Jesus this could open up a huge opportunity and hell if these things are good enough a direct mod workshop could exist to allow others to directly download and view models and mods and see how they fit the game. This could range from anything from, hulls, superstructures, funnels, guns, turrets, barbettes, misceallous, UI, splash screens, effects, sounds, animations, colour schemes etc. I wouldn't mind this in the game at a later date.
  7. Dunno why but i thought of AL when i saw this lol. Junkyard ships when?
  8. Also this needs to be put into the appropiate section. To prevent forum clogging up and to make it less confusing on what is going on in each topic. And as above you will need screenies to provide evidence so the support team can help you better.
  9. HMS defence Raiding a bunch of smoll transport ships. San Salvador with her two sisters patrolling along the spanish coastline. San salvador (front) opens fire upon the enemy italian flotilia. (Mid) San Telmo and (Rear) San Antonio (1932). Taken from a spanish scout plane (made in 1928) San salvador opening fire with her front 356mm's on the italian fleet (1932).
  10. I hope alpha 4 allows us to get closer to historical ships and even better customisation, so moving the superstructure and funnels and such in werid locations (so you can have a CV style superstructure for memes with 18-20inch guns down the middle lol.) As well as being able to interact with the innards of the ship itself.
  11. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I'm really, REALLY liking this patch now. Especially considering this isn't even final as well, nice too see lots of changes, was surprised by the custom battles thing. Now we just need something liek Admirals college to be able to playout historical events and missions from 1880-1940/9. Either way very good and keep up the good effort!
  12. I dont consider a post to be a necro unless its 6 months+ or 12months+ if the post is relevant and decent (in general i dont really care lol). But yeah i've never played it but sounds pretty cool, good thing is we don't need to take everything from these games but just the good bits or the best bits from those games that would suit whatever section of the campaign, UI etc. Maybe not too cannibilistic, but taking things from other games that work is never a bad idea as long as you can expand upon and even make it better! Quite excited for alpha-3 i predict friday morning (maybe lol).
  13. Combine warthunders armour viewer and x-ray viewer, with that ps2 naval games design mechanics and something else and boom! you have a really gud ship designer and hell if possible introduce that swap the hull thing (again if possible).
  14. Hmm, im not sure i hope quad turrets will be in this week lol. Then i can build my pseudo richelieu/jean bart!
  15. While i don't mind multiplayer (most i would go for is 1v1's and campaign map with maybe 2v2 support) but frankly i did by this game for the singleplayer/design and also sandboxyness plus also being a 3d version of RTW's too. So obviously resources should be focused mainly if not entirely on just those things i mentioned plus other goodies. Im sad they focused on multiplayer, even basic 2v2's would of been fine as far as i was concerned, multiplayer and grand strategy usually don't work well because of the huge balancing issues avalaible (unless you don't care or aware beforehand but still). Ah well, miss nelson will soon be in my port lol.
  16. I never mentioned anything about penalties, just bonus's also it helps to note that this is nothing more than an idea. Missed opportunity to combine my post with any penalties that you may of had for each nation. Oh well. I think they are ok for a starting to base bonuses off in general, penalties ill leave that to someone else. EDIT: Expanded on points and some minor grammar fixing.
  17. Yeah, im glad i have this game. Just wish work and uni stuff would sod off for the time being lmao. Yep watched about 12 vids of his before the whole digital homicide saga (my god lol) and thats when is started watching it regularly.
  18. Sure, but i would be aware just in case peeps take it the wrong way, the comment seemed to suggest that in the way it was typed. But eh, doesn't matter much i guess. True, I mean i wouldn't play the game otherwise customization is something i've always been a fan of, of course with a game like this you need still take realism into account (or give the option for both since it is singleplayer). Actually it was the main reason i picked this game up in the first place (plus opportunity to alpha test).
  19. Hopefully the new secondary chanages should help see a major improvements in secondary performance, would be kinda miffed if they didnt too be honest.
  20. Actually starting from WW1 planes to implement aviation mechanics would be a good thing to do, then the devs could work from that and produce far better mechanics later on. This also means they get to refine the mechanics while they have a small impact on gameplay in general and then allows them to expand into other things (escort, light, regular, heavy, super carriers etc.) Quite a logical step process and also allows them to gauge community response via the basic implementation of seaplanes in general.
  21. Well the passive agreesive sarcastic comment isnt needed but ok.
  22. My take will be like this. 1890 - Passive Perks and Traits. Britain: Glory of the empire - Bonus to invasion success by 10%, Bonus to crew stats by 10%, Bonus to fleet budget by 15%, Reduction in maintenance by 5%. Germany: Rise of the empire - Bonus to supplies and resources by 15%, Bonus to crew morale by 10%, Bonus to quality by 10%, Bonus to research and random discoveries 10%. Italy: Dream of an empire - Bonus to crew morale by 15%, Bonus to resources and supplies by 10%, Bonus to random discoveries 10%, Bonus to Diplomacy and treaties 10% (so the ability to ignore them or turn them into your favour). France: The old Empire - Bonus to Experience 15%, Bonus to invasion success by 15%, Bonus to Fleet finances 10%, Bonus to research 15%. US: The new empire - Bonus to ship building and costs 15% (so decreases both meaning cheaper ships and built quicker), Bonus to supplies and resources 20%, Bonus to defence of territories 15%, Bonus to fleet budget 15%. Idk these are just examples not too be taken massively in anyway its more of a template kind of thing, these passive bonus could remain all game or if several, a few or just one major/minor event/s occur then some of these bonus could skyrocket to like 30% or plummet down or be removed entirely or changed entirely. should make the game more dynamic, replayable and unpredictable as well.
  23. Well, it seems the double tower placement thing will of set that in the image above. Also yes we can finally put secondaries close together that means even moar wacky designs. Now we just need small barbettes for dem smoll gunz! This is my first and only pre-order and i do not regret it one bit, think ill be keeping an eye on the indie industry they might take over the triple AAAAAYYY side of things at this rate.
