  1. This is what I disagree with. The fact that one person (or a small group) can affect someone else's game play this much. The ability to craft your own ships is too important to be impacted by the whim of another player. A buy in system, as I mentioned earlier, would add good income to the owning clan's bank and still not allow the clan leader to modify another player's game.
  2. This is something that I have mentioned on several occasions. There should be no Friendly Clan list for the purpose of PB. All players who wish to take advantage of port bonuses should have to Buy in to the port with the buy in going to the owning clan. Once they have paid (and it should be expensive) they cannot be removed. The owning clan still controls all investment into the port and since individual players are paying, they will have a very good reason to assist in defending the port.
  3. You really cant in the case of La Guanaja. The shallows is really just a sandbar across the harbour mouth. Deep water at the pier and immediately outside.
  4. I have noted this happening when my ship is still moving.
  5. One of the reasons I don't attack AI is because it wastes repairs that I need for PVP. I'd like to do the PVE missions that give me chests and marks, but i must travel to areas where PVP takes place and i am loath to use my reps on a bot when i will need them for PVP. Smashing AI to replenish reps would be a good option in this regard.
  6. I LOVE THIS FORUM! A French player, complains about other French players misbehaving in French territory (arguable), in a tribunal and VCO gets dragged down! Fame has it's disadvantages!
  7. I post chest contents often. Its amusing to see how the RNG has either rewarded you or screwed you over. The difference in two Gold chests can be astonishing.
  8. Slim, you're an experienced player and i'm sure you could start from scratch with no problem. So could I. New players don't have that experience to back them up. They do dumb things and lose it all. That sends them away.
  9. Wait, you mean that Russia does not speak with one voice?? That's odd....
  10. When I was a noob in GB it was a great thrill to get a couple of TBrigs with Arctic Fox from Manzanilla to KPR/ Big profit and I considered if a major PVP feat.
  11. Devs are still fixated on the aggressive AI thing that nobody wants and which will kill more noobs. Whish they'd fix trade instead.
  12. You bet. Just be very careful. Since the two of you joined on the same side, your BR will be higher than the opponent. That means hunters can join on the opponent's side. If you two have shot the crap out of each other, you may be at a severe disadvantage.
  13. Its a good idea and should be kept. Its just that actual trading should be more lucrative.
  14. That was an interesting idea earlier that all clan (or even national) port are automatically outposts. Give all TP income to the owning clan. Might boost RVR...
  15. That's the jack. The RN has strict rules about where that is flown. (at the bow, in harbour). It would be inappropriate to fly that aft.
  16. Its pretty easy to get re-started Peter. Doing the tutorial will give you 280 crew (M&C rank) and ships/reps/money.
  17. Travel to exotic new places...enjoy fantastic scenery...meet interesting people...and kill them...
  18. I strongly suggest that you consider in which port that you complete the tutorial. That will be the port that your thousands of repairs will appear in. If it is far behind your main base of operation, you will then have to transport all of those reps.
  19. Do the tutorial mate. It will give you rank, ships, a ton of repairs, some money and a Naval clock. Well worth the effort!
  20. Welcome to the US Military. I've always enjoyed 'Joint" missions.
