  1. I think his review is a bit over the top however i don't think you are completely honest about this... 1. You can be very dismissive in forums at times. 2. You don't really deliver in priority order which means that bugs cause delays in higher priority stuff 3. you have had 6 months of patches that have moved away from combat and have lost a lot of testers/players due to this. some will come back some won't I am certainly happy with the value i got out of the game but the first 300 hours were far better than the last 700+ due to the fact the player base reduced and the development changes didn't really address the issues before adding features that compounded them. I will be back sometime but i have to admit i do feel a bit negative towards development choices over the last few months. I wont put a negative review or even talk down the actual game as when your in combat or actually interacting it is great but the 30 minutes it takes to get on and go to somewhere to fight is an absolute pain in the ass and the UI is as ugly as it was 7 months ago. your priorities seem flawed to me since i thought penetration and leaks etc were good enough to run with in February.....not perfect but not worth the time developing further with other issues SCREAMING to be fixed. Honestly i thin you have a great skeleton and all the stuff just needs to be tied together....i havent played for 2 months nearly so i can;t talk about the recent patches however pirates haven't changed yet and you haven't wiped assets so i already know economy/crafting & gameplay is still broken in my case. logging in to have look 8)
  2. 1 Dura ships is a great move and i have been advocating for it for about 9 months. There are other issues that will cause headaches but once they fix the skill trees make mods perk dependant so stacking is a thing rather than a perk completely removing it things will get better. same with perms/temps being fixed to make sense and perms staying ona ship forever. Turns the game more into Capture or resource loss rather than just a bit of epeen rubbing. Skill trees and mods need a lot of loving to massage the numbers into balance. Crafting needs something but this patch hopefully will be the only good one for the last 6 months and hopefully the following two fix the issues created by the previous 6 bad ones by actually working on fittin perks, BR, Mods and crafting changes into something more interwoven. A lot of changes are just bolt on parts that have lots of gaps in them. structurally almost everything is there now its a matter of getting all the "variables" in the right groups and in the right progression.

  4. they should merge to try and keep at least 1 server functional for testing since they have shagged the puppy badly the last 7 months and all the players have left or reduced playtime significantly.
  5. until population grows to a point where there is 24 hour coverage of the way to big map for this population you will always have issues with timer based things. Even when it turns to contention points there will be an issue because certain factions can only play certain timeslots effectively. It is a scaling issue as much as it is a design issue.
  6. boarding has been announced that it is being replaced so dont bother talking about it until the release some info or the actual patch. they have no intention of dealing with it as is by the looks
  7. I actually would like a few significant changes..... All the drop mods to be perks and for them to be tree based. Fleets should be an end level perk on a trader specialization. I am sorta ok with them having it but i wan the AI not to be counted in the BR..... If someone has a end of line perk it should be obvious as they are min maxing. a boarding ship would have barracades as part of marines or whatever variant is end tree. Fleets are seen in the UI. If someone is combat specced ie monkeys/DPS maxed then they will have a visual flag stating that they are running extra gunnery crews on the top deck. I am actually reasonably OK with all the mechanics even the stupid ones IF they are restrictive to other features & Visually viewable in OW. if end of a tree specced ie MAXED The main reason there is so much suck at the moment is you go in blind and cant work out how to deal with the enemy until you win the maneuvouring and find out they are defender specced. Or you go to board and they are gold marined with 2 AI ships and will defend kill you. Or that the perks are just badly designed/layed out. Between this " completed officer system " and the effective nerfing of boarding I have turned off till content arrives or gets fixed. Devs ignore everyone else and make stupid choices and fail in ways game designers did 15 years ago...........Skill trees have been a good thing for many many years.

  11. Personally i think it is irrelevant to the issues. If the costs of the ships increase it is mostly irrelevant because the gold stays in circulation. IE you get gold from PVE in bulk ...costs time. however once the 1st rate is purchased at any price the gold sits in game to be passed around meaning that gold is devalued. The only significant money sink in this game at the moment is gold on players who are no longer playing and crew costs.....which are also devalued with medikits. the reality is cost of ships is irrelevant to all except those who think their time is wasted.....which will be those finding more rare materials because for the most part its boring. If a vic costs 2 mill or 20 mill its pretty irrelevant to the issues IMO. the economy is not on the devs radar at the moment and these changes to BP are just a waste of everyones time at the moment.

  14. independants = the new black turn the map free? why own a town if you can make buildings in frees? is there going to be an resource factor to a nation ?
  15. your thinking about it from the wrong angle. duros is only in the game because people don't realise they are meant to be capturing the ships....the better thing to do is to make people not get as good xp and gold from sinking.... you want to capture ships and not have yours captured. sinking them isnt helping anyone except in port battles where the goal is the town ownership. Think of it like kids and toys. I want that toy...no you cant have it its mine.. ill take it... thats what the game is. what it currently is. I want that toy. you can have it if you want it i have 4 others. until it gets to the last duro its a bit less cared about. The game is about being a bully.
  16. admin has already said they wanted to remove duros, It is a very flawed system that makes crafting broken except for the high end ships. It also makes ships mostly disposable. The idea is not to sink ships but to capture them. Tweak whatever is needed to do it but everything that is a military 6th and higher should be 1 duro. Also temporary upgrades should not be lost (and they never should have been, this is just like a perk/flavour system) Low grade notes and Mid grade notes are the issue you have with the crafting prices. just buy greys from the shipyard. golds are for people who out class the ship not for people who are buying it the first time.
  17. pirates don't get alliances in the system now, conquest for them goes next patch if it is ready
  18. giggle....mods....after the golden shower.... the right thing is to seek out PVP. Set up a port at ile vatch, plymouth, Keywest, Cocacaboa and go hunting
  19. you could go the opposite way and see if you can fast track seasoning. when the PB patch hits try this. 2 weeks voting 2 months play port reset after this time. everything becomes a redeemable. Top nations gets a port owners after that time gets 1 rare ship and 3 paints. in fact i think this would sorta highlight a few things for seasons......just need some form of an accelerant to make people chase PBs
  20. Hi Admin, Fasti and Skully are both interested in this. I am on the forums daily I am the current leader in the AUSEZ clan which in pirate land is AUSFC 1000+ hours and some sea trials. Hardcore gamer with many high end gulids/clans in many games. numerous first etc. Generally helpful Aussie timezone had experience in diplomacy IT Manager for 20 + years....haz Skillz I have also offered 3 times to join up but not when you were looking. hopefully you are looking again.
  21. thanks for the shout out. there were many clans that helped us out with those attacks etc but we certainly have and always will pursue a battle over a circle jerk. there are many reasons we are pirate but being told not to fight spain when we cant strike anywhere else was one of them
  22. in case anyone was confused. RAE has been a rogue spanish clan since January. RAE has always attacked ports regardless of alliances. this has been their rogue clan forever. spain isn't instigating the dramas and your all screwing them on technicalities with the "but we cant control open world screeners" Work out if the treaty is what you want and either stop the screening OR start fighting.
