Well if any pirate ever decides to go further west than Hati please let me know or be vocal in chat about wanting to exploreore of the map and be more of a pirate outpost / pirate waters etc type pirate.

Im in the west not north. I just cant believe not even ine has ventured out.

I and my friend play pirates on pvp2 ( when we rolled pirates we interested to be pirates and not world conquerers) . We went of to do piratey stuff and havent seen but 1 other player from our faction and he seen us on chat talking amd came to us. My question is are there ANY pirates west of mortimer town other than my friend and i ? Seriously this sumday will be 4 weeks since seeing another player in my faction. I dont want this to turn into another justme hates pirates thread so could admins keep it to just pirates talking about this topic and thier travels and not everything 5 people hate. Any " piratey " pirates out there in pvp2 ?

Plus you got to see them cute little pugs sailing in tiny dog sized ships !

Im so glad someone else read that. When i saw that article i felt so bad for all the parents who are going to have the plug pulled on them or put into nursing home and turned into soylent green because the kids dont want to be bothered to take care of them.

This is the first pirates thread ive seen that acually points to real issues with the pirates and the reason they are how they are. First alot of pirates feel they have no choice but to nation build because we are stuck with a capital city amd its in between US , britain and spain . This is on the way the game is set up and i cant see this issue being resolved until the pirates are " finished" being developed. Simply letting us hide identity and use any port would end that entire problem and then whichever are the top 3 or 4 ports that have pirate outpost in them could show up on the pirate maps as pirate hotspots so we know where to find our brethren. Second problem why there is a drive for a pirate nation is because the nation factions dont play historical either thus forcing pirates to change history. The national factions should be economy driving with the bulk of the players in merchant and small patrol ships 90% of the time. I mean massive sols sat in harbor or were sent for the purposes of war not ganking and there was a limited number of these ships available. So again unless the developers change nation play how can the pirates be expected to change? Its like asking them to play chess bit only giving them pawns and only 3 of them. Lastly i play a pirate on that server and wont air pirate laundry but as a pirate who " plays the part" of a pirate of the 1800s i am constantly under attack from faction members for not attacking ports. I and 1 friend play as pirates and went to find waters to call our own and have been there for 3 weeks and have not seen one single pirates! ! That is ludicrous toe that pirates are forced to play this war game instead of being all over in strong packs. Im interested in knowing if any other faction players have went 3 weeks without seeing one person from thier faction? How messed up is it for us to never see a single pirate? Pirates need help from devs is they are expected to change and until they get it they will be a fractured faction amd it wont be anyonrs fault. I also wish the 30 anti pirates post saying the same thing would stop because they are simply asking for something that cant be changed.

What do you expect from the ADD , self entitled, instant gratification, im a special snowflake modern generation of gamers. Im to the point i cant even read the forums anymore because of all the just me just me just me crowd.

Maybe we can finally start acting like pirate bands instead of an empire on the move. I hope we can start to do what ive been calling for in chat . This is good news indeed.....well for me.

I am a pirate in this server and have been publicly called names and insulted and everything in between by the rats because i pvp 24/7 . Sure i hunt trade ships or ai in between but i look for players regardless of thier ship size. Big or small ill fight them if i stand any chance at all. Being told im wothless because im not a certain level by people who only pve does not make sense to me and its going to be the end of the pirates on this server. My friend and i aint going nowhere but i doubt many people want to be constantly insulted for pvp play ON A PVP SERVER. I do and will continue to enjoy being a pirate thr way i want to be and i have had great great battles with brits , the US and spain and most of the guys where fun to fight...i few of the brits ( one clan really) are total aholes and horrible but its ok i enjoy mocking them . Pirate on pirates.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Im thinking some of the players here let thier true feelings towards countries show instead if in a game lol.

Uncharted waters is very economy based. Lots of naval action if you want but you can do nothing but economy and even have trade routes etc. The guild also is a 100 % economic and political game set in that time and with one of the expansion there are aos ships. They are both older games but im sure someone has them...also there was or may still be uncharted waters online.

The pirates most definitely held territory they claimed. It may not have been recognized by the US or england but it was thiers. Anyways this game as it is doesnt allow any of the benifits a real pirate would have had and really on a few of the negitive. The only thing is , is that if pirates are off doing piratey stuff and not waging a war it has a negitive effect because they lose ground. Cant really fault pirates for anything right now because they are in video game limbo.

Mutual hatred for freedom loving free willed pirates is expected by any crown lovers on thier bended knees but what im observing is to nations holding hands patrolling side by side from cuba to Jamaica ( although one of the US captains i was fighting said they had a " fun fight " with some brits a day ago) and working as a team killing the Spanish. Ive watched them from a distance time thier port attacks at the exact same times on spain while thry sit side by side killing spain . Again alls fair in fake love and war and as a free willed pirate i understand the jealousy towards my kind but to so British and American forces are not working in tandem is silly. If its not formal then wow what a coincidence.

As a pirate who stakes out odd places and visits alot of free ports i have personally witnessed the US and brits sitting side by side gaurding free ports . Ive been chased and attackef by entire fleets 12+ of combined brit and US forces.This is all fair , legal, and completely fine but please dont act like what appears to be a very large portion of your empires working hand in hand isnt happening. In fact i had a 1vs12 a few days ago with lots of friendly banter during the fight and i was told that the brits and US are now working together to gaurd areas they feel important.

No no no i think what youre doing is awesome. It gives me hope this game will continue to be a open world war game on the Atlanta. Your numbers are small and youre fighting how you can that's great . There is another much larger faction always saying its not fair to be attacked so its refreshing to see you fighting guerilla style lol. As someone not involved in this war but who has read about it this comment you made sums up why you lost. You had almost nobody WILLING to defend and lots to attack but YOU guys decided you didnt want to attack. You can hardly blame the US or British or french players for playing a pvp game. Nobody tells a football team it has to lose and go help the other team cuz the other team dont want to or cant play. Live and learn. Stage a comeback. Become a small but strong spanish empire. Heck we are getting stomped by the US too but we are fighting and doing what we can and moving to places we can defend. This kind of game is always in motion and you can make what you want outa it. Hell maybe spain will temporarily become pirates themselves untill they build numbers.

Part of the problem with population period coul be that nobody knows about this game. Its not advertised anywhere that i know if and you dont hear it mentioned anywhere that i know of. The only reason i found it wad by flipping through twitch streams and seen the title amd though hmmm whats this. Hopefully once this game is closer to release and a finished product they get the word out that they are here.
