I believe this game exist already. Its called worl of warships if youre interested. You can even set up your own battles and since its open season on mods /hax you could skin the ships amd make their range less amd bam there ya go.

What you say about grinding pve amd mission players is spot on if the forum chat and nation chat is true. Every day i see less of the people hell bent on only doing pve amd working against, purposely, the pvp players. Myself amd my friends completely have withdrawan from the pirate area because of their constant name calling and insults just because they were getting boared with the game. Its a shame too because the 4 of us pvp almost exclusively and only pve to supply ourselves with mats to build new ships to fight with. The server seems stable for the last week with the population being 500-600 when ive looked even though the pirates are infighting again i think the server is ok. It will continue to grow slowly while in EA and thr pve grinders will leave because they are bringing the wrong attitude to this kind of game. On a side note ive fought LOTS of brits and some US and french and with only a few exeptions the player base is solid amd have good attitudes.

This is what im worried about. I know the devs are keeping pretty firm in their stance on what this game will be but ive seen to many games ruined by squeeky wheels and then they quit anyways.

I have to agree with slamz. The sheer terror people seem to experience at just the thought of pvp and losing a pretty pixel ship is off the charts. There are SO MANY guys who only pve and do missions and the near mention if doing some pvp gets you black listed. I cant understand why so many people scared of pvp are in a pvp server. Missions shouldnt be available after 2 or 3rd level and only have the random world events.

In potbs you could run for governor. It was fun running ports , setting taxes and defensive structures etc. A bad governor could really hurt a port for a long time after he is gone.

Easy rerolling is becoming an issue devs need to look at. There is no national loyalty its just bounce back and forth for xp. I REALLY HOPE AN ADMIN LOOKS THIS OVER.

Very few pirates even left on the sever. In a game that allows tryhards and win babies to jump sides without harsh penalties will have this problem. Pvp1 i believe has the same problem only all the try hards are joining the pirates who are winning. As for a leader comming i dont see that happening unless more wanna be dictators quit. All ideas amd plans other than attacking the french are met with name calling etc and if you do anything itjer than grind pve you are also considered trouble. At least now we are closer to what the real pirates was lol.

The pirates on pvp2 are getting what they ask for. 4 weeks i warned them. They didnt listen. Long live the cutthroats on the high sea !

I am a independent business man who patrols the waters with his employees looking for good business deals. Quite often we meet a ships captain and i give you my word , if we run into this captain Williamson we will be sure to tell him his widow was looking for him.

Im a pirate on pvp2 but dont know most of the posters exept poe ( we miss you poe) but as someone who reads both the chat in game and the forums i can say this, the pirates are a total fluster cuck. I could say why and who but anyone who pays attention knows. I cant imagine there being any pirates left for long.

We choose not to bow before crown or bootheel so we take proper "ENGLISH" to be wrong as are all things english.

We really do have fun and tons of fights. I just wish more would be more open to the prospect of pirating.

Hopefully it wont come to having to leave my server but it may as i am hated as is anyone on our server who plays as non conquest goal pirates. Im told on a daily basis we are all that is wrong with the faction lol. But a bright spot is that this post has brought someone from pvp1 to pvp2 pirate to come raid with us so its not all bad.

You just described my friend and i gaming sessions lol. We have a clan of 2 but thats cuz we are nomadic and looking for others interested in wolf pack piracy. Last night he and i pissed off the brits in Jamaica enough it looked like they brough every player online after us ! Most fun hour i had in a while was the run back to our hidout. Getting taged amd trying to escape the battle lol. We got split up and i managed to capture anothwr players small ship and send mine back to safty. Then i zigzaged back home . We both made it back safe with lots of xp gold and drops to show.
