Hello pvp1 pirates, my friends and i play pirates on pvp2 currently but after the merge we are not sure. I was hoping to get some info on the pirate outlook there first. We all rolled pirates to play pirates and didnt know we would be a formal nation when we did. Thats ok and more power to those who expand the kingdom but we choose to run and play more like pirates of yor. We operate out of freeports over a hour away from our safe haven and none of us have been to a pirate city in almost a month other than the capital for a few minutes each week or two. We mainly spend our time hunting in a small group or solo looking for English merchantmen or navy ships amd have done ok so far ( our biggest catch was 189k worth of loot plus the ship) and want to keep playing this way. We are not opposed to doing PB but would like it on a micro scale such as finding a port we want to operate out of raid and hold it for as long as we can and defend its waters viciously. Once we get to pvp1 we will try and see if that can be done there or if there are others who play that way. Any info or tips or calls from like minded people would be much appreciated. And please national guys can you keep this respectful and not turn it into another thread about hating pirates PLEASE. This is mostly a call to pirates. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR THE POLITE WAY WE WILL ALL ACT.

@capt rice. Still not much more than 200 on because even though we see new faces we lose more than come in. On the bright side everyone tha5 is left are pretty fun and good guys on all teams. Having great pvp , as pirates,every night. The fights are sorta more personal now it seems too, like everyone you fight you know and they know you so you have fun banter. Perhaps in the ultimate irony all the people looking for those epic 1v1 or fair gentlemanly fights that either left the game or server would now be finding them. My small group may swap to US in the merger when it happens unless we can find some pirates interested in pirating.

Its to easy to switch servers or teams with 0 penalties. People who cant stand not being on the winning team constantly switch back and forth at will. Ive seen the same nes leave, become a rival, then come back all to get the easiest xp. It was a good idea but in practice its bad because of peoples attitudes. And all going to the European server i sure hope works out and dont cause more problems. The asian pacific players will now be at a serious disadvantage in pvp and so will some SA players i think. Im just hoping for the best but not holding my breath.

Yeah i play with some guys from South America and they said their ping is much higher to eu server and it will really effect the way they play. The logical choice is US server because its right in the middle of everyone but Russia.

Aubrey obviously used the free cam exploit to see the shil in the other side of the island , then concocted a story that his doctor was collecting bugs and happen to see it.

Oh yeah i realize that and im not disputing it in just thinking he could have been referring to then. We all ( or normal humans) make exaggeration to emphasis a point.

Why would anyone not want more players ? That's counter productive to the longevity of the game. It should be the more the merrier.

When EA first launched it was over 900 every time i loged in albeit not for long. Maybe he was referring to that time period.

You disagree that im having fun , and great pvp ? Hmm, not sure how you know how i feel but ok. Tonight for the brief time i was on my friend and i took a 1400 iron shipment, sank a suprise and cerb, caped a cerb , almost sank a connie and then i left to head back home to log and got hit by 6 brits and went down in a blaze of glory. I guess i dont know what fun is. Oh and my faction was reduced to our capital only for a while and i still though i was having fun. Guess i was wrong.

I mentioned this today in in a differnt post but once im drug over to pvp1 where it seems 99% of this problem is in going to have 2 options. 1 close my chat box and not be a part of the faction im a part of and basically being playing a single player game with wierd AI. 2 quit the game. Ill take 2 and i love this game already. And the most funny thing about it all is because some people just cant stand how some people play pirates. I mean WTF ! If thats thr level of maturity on tjat server ill spend my time amd money elsewhere.

I dont see a reason to transfer, rebuild , then a day after im back to were i started having it taken away and doing it over again. Sounds like a big giant hassle to me and for no reason.I dont know about the others still left on pvp2 but im almost hoping they dont merge us now. All the toxic players have left, the pvp is great, fights are everywhere and the chat between nations during battles is great and no more insults being thrown around. I hope the devs leave the server and do like others have ask and stop making it so easy to jump servers amd jump factions etc. Its just causing chaos. Im sure pvp1 players will now attacknme for my thoughts but man the fights are fun and lots more strategy and not just zerg zerg zerg. EDIT. After reading the new batch of US vs pirates insults today it seems to me pvp1 is just one giant epeen messuring contest and nothing but insults are exchanged. Where is the leave Brittney alone guy to do a leave our server alone video.

You would have better luck talking to a brick wall then these people. They are 100% dishonest in their complaints and anyone can see. How can someone scream endlessly thread after thread about historical accuracy must be kept or the game is ruined ! Oh dear oh dear. Funny thing is that they only want historical accuracy for one faction ( the one 99% of the complainers dont play) but for all the rest its do as you please follow whatever peace or war you want sail as many 1st rates as you want blah blah blah.These same people cant see ir comprehend what the devs did or are at least trying to do in giving ALL players a sandbox to play in and letting us write our own history. Ive come to the conclusion that most of todays people are so accustomed to being led around by the hand from birth to death that they love theme park games with strict checks and balances and ridged rules that forbid or encourage certain play so that they dont have to think fir themselves. They can only see pirates as Long John Silver or captain Hook or Johnny Depp, and have zero idea of how many thousands of pirates there realy was or what they could have done with bigger numbers or access to ships larger than a sloop etc. You ( and i both) will be lectured by the disney crowd that pirates need to be special ( because didnt you know real pirates are not human but difffernt with cool powers) and have parrots and peg legs or its not fair. You know what though? If they got thier way,and they probably will, then they will still rage anout the next thing stopping them from following a them park adventure lol. Just ignore them its my new motto.

I wrote a post in this section saying the same thing. People got mad or were promised free set ups to come over to the other sever. The first week i played sever population was 900 at the times i played and now its 200 or less at same times and most people left for the reasons you mentioned. One of my favorite respilonses was someone said " how do you figure the population will not fall if people dont leave ?? " Pure genius right, but then again what can be expected.

I play before 7 exept sunday. Thats my point to the person i was talking to before ragers started raging. He claims every other person in the game is a pirate. Thats total bs and i made the point that if thats true then there are only 20 pirates on my server because thats all i see. Do you get that ?

I never see more than a handful of peope on so calling me a liar to make your point is usless. And saying thier is only 20 pirates is no more facetious than him saying 50% of the population on pvp1 is gonna be a pirate. Get off your high horse. Because youre sayint that out of 163 people on when i was and no port battles going and 4 peiple in chat and not 1 seen at sea somehow had 40 in a pb ?

I played potbs as england for the first couple years but after being raped by pirates ( that had all the cool pirate things that make them the pirates everyone here thinks of) i threw away millions of gold my 50th lvl toon all my everything to be pirates. In less than a week i was max level and unkillable. There was nothing a national player could do to not get sank by a pirate with even a small amount of brains. And since pirates where made to gave a hard time capturing ports 99% of what was left to do was to sit in front of englands biggest ports and sink their players all day and night. That was awesome having pirates abilities and thats the only reason i rolled pirates here. Imagine my disappointed whem i realized i have to play by the same rules as everyone else . They already have that choice. Unless youre saying there should be a country called pirates which in that case im confused but ok.

If they ever decide to implement paint or flags that we can pick for customisation they will have to be a set pattern or have to be turned in and then added to game in mini patches otherwise peolle who have pcs to old to run games will suffer from massive lag.

Neutral is going to be the only way devs will get this stupid pirate problem off thier backs because it apears by the amount of posts about it that most peole just cant get past labels. Just because you CAN take port dont mean you must. Just because you CAN craft big ships dont mean you have to . Just because you CAN skipper a first rate dont mean you have to. I could go on. So by making a neutral faction if someone wants to be a pirate they can and they will soon gain that reputation wherever the steal and against that faction. That would or could lead to a mercenary being known as a pirate to england but a friend to France ir Americans. Unfortunately you will not be able to give people a choice of flags to fly because the second they sail the black the ability to craft will ruin their lives. Let neutral players use any port they can get to as long as that faction dont sink them lol. Honestly no matter what they do to change or fix or leave pirates at the same people complaining now will complain then , just over something else like no peg legs or hooks for hands.

Cant you already limit your crafting ? Cant you already essentially raid just by leaving after getting the loot from port cap and then not defend the base ? I would prefere a " neutral faction" then you could be a pirate a privateer a merchant a fisherman whatever. I dont need a label to act a certain way.

Alot of people as of late will have to make that choice.
