  1. I wish i had the money to open a Salt processing factory. This forum is FILLED with it. Im glad i came from PVP2 to this shenanigans.
  2. This one time, I ate a pop tart sailing from Charleston to Tumbado. . . it was strawberry. I enjoyed it.

It could be worse, Try absolutely destroying a player in PVP to the point where he has no armor but is still able to escape because it is a larger fight and you may not be able to continue tagging him. That mechanic should be fixed,not this. If enough damage is done to you to the point of which your ship is no longer battle worthy, if you cant win the over all fight, escape should not be available. I have seen far too many screen caps of yellow covering a teams scoreboard. Why fight if they can just escape after 1:30 of no damage, even though they should be dead in the water?

Myself and a few other clan members would love to see an option where if you manage to Capture a ship in a PVP fight, you get the option to Scuttle it via flooding, or lighting the magazine on fire. Perhaps create a timer for the action to complete and its based on certain factors. Just a thought, any plans for this?
  6. 350k Gold and 6k XP with the sinking of 5+ top tier ships. She has already been replaced with a new one. So again, I thank you for being target practice.
  7. The dutch sailed across the world as they are now slaves of the british on PVP2, the victory may have sunk, but it was a great sea trial to see what she is capable of. Although you claim "disposable" 3rd rates were used, that victory is one of about 8 I have made. Not to include the others crafters from SoL have created. Industrial revolution versus 2nd world shenanigans. Ships will sink, and with our abilities to build 1 1/2 Victorys a day (still growing) I don't see losing it to a 5v1 against 3rd rates that all sunk a major loss. Again, I thank you for letting me test it out and see what she can do. =)
  8. I'm sure we all have our own opinions on this however for PVP and conquest aspects I recommend a strong look at the functionality of the port battles. At this time on US PVP2, as I'm sure it is on other servers, the whole port battle timer is unacceptably broken in my opinion and it goes both ways. For example, me being a US eastern player on a US based server, I don't think that it is fair game play mechanic wise that a clan from another nation who is across the (Real)world in a different time zone can capture ports undefended then set timers at 5AM US Eastern time which makes it difficult for myself and most of the US based players. The same goes for us being able to set timers for our prime times and locking out essentially captures from those players in other countries. The port battle aspect needs to become an overall event with a longer time or open times. The current system does not work well for a good portion of the player base as most are adults with full time jobs, families, and real world responsibilities. Some alternatives that myself and few others have come up with is a 24-48 event style capture which gives ample opportunity to realistically defend a port. (Now i don't think this should be acceptable if a port is a lone port on the opposite side of the map.) Another possible option would be to make it 2 capture windows, 4 hours in length and 12 hours apart. I would be interested to see what other players and the developers think of this and constructive conversation.
  9. in hindsight, there was no real threat to the capitol, just a 25 on 6 pvp that took 2 hours to get to. nothing more, nothing less.

  11. When? two days in a row we sailed from Tulum to Bonacca and saw like 3 ships?
  12. Good thing there is no win condition. There's 1 us clan and a bunch of randoms that control the islands of you pirates. The large majority of clans for the us are not over there, and mine for 1 hasn't been in weeks. But it's cool. There will always be salt. I've done my best to keep the islands a quiet place for the Pirates to grow but I can only do so much. Maybe on map reset you rats can work together a bit more and not squabble like natives from a far away land.
  13. Do a port count. Funny how british like to not have attention drawn to them. Lots of red on the map in pvp 2. Let's not count the fact that a majority of the Pirates rolled Sweden to damage farm off each other, oh and look at all those who have nation swapped to the British leaving those crumb gathering nations you mention even far less significant. But hey, it's all in good fun. I enjoy friendly pvp like anyone else!
