  1. Pretty sure the XVII at the bottom is an indication of what century
  2. No offense intended but it feels like you're throwing images up without doing indepth research and cross referencing images that pop up in your search results. If I type in "USS America 1782" I get results that include British lineships and even photoshopped paintings of the USS Constitution. Try to be a little better when looking up ships to propose.
  3. No? Sid Meier's Pirates! had the same ships for every playable era in that game. The chances of obtaining certain types were rarer in some eras than others.
  4. You'd have a better time in the Yacht than a basic cutter bud. Don't worry about scuffing it up.
  5. There was not an HMS Onslow until the age of sail was over. The ship in question belonged to the Royal African Company, and while it was a ship belonging to a British mercantile company, that doesn't necessarily grant it the use of His/Her Majesty's Ship as a prefix. In this case, the frigate is simply called "Onslow". There's very little information for her to be found online (am still looking). Since she was a merchant frigate and not a frigate of the Royal Navy, you're not likely to find plans for her anywhere. Also, if you can't find plans for her, there's a good chance she won't see the light of day in the game. Not trying to take the wind out of your sails, but the general rule here is: No plans, no ship. (Substituting a French ship's design won't help much either) Cheers. PS: Title is misleading.
  6. Her plans and additional info are already posted here: Santa Ana No need to resurrect an old topic
  7. I'm all for seeing her ingame. If we only had "important ships" in the game, we'd see major representation by most major naval powers and none by other sea-going nations that lacked such fame. I am hoping the devs will buck this idea.
  8. That model is indeed the San Giovanni. She's on a future vote of ships of the line for me, but as I stated before, I will be eyeing frigates and smaller vessels for the next vote or two.
  9. I'm more surprised that maturin dared to assume that they wore full plate and wielded greatswords all the way up to the Napoleonic era. Maybe a few, but the entire corps? That's a rather uncharacteristic statement!
  10. The laptop I traded my desktop for has a GeForce 730M built in. I have to crank the settings down to minimum but I can still play the game. Don't whine about the lack of optimal performance, just get a new card (or laptop if need be). I had to go without for a few months, I know, it's torture, but totally worth coming back to.
  11. A rather interesting and potentially misleading name sir! Fair wind and following seas!
  12. I believe the answer to this model lies in one of the several conversations we have had on the topic of Maltese ships Mr Sella
  13. Just type in "Hermione" or "L'Hermione" and you'll find it
  14. A thread for this ship already exists mate, might want to do a search next time before posting
  15. Some more variety needs to be present before anymore Russian ships enter the game. My only dissent here. She is rather gaily colored, is that her natural scheme or just an assumption by an artist?
  16. At least until players realized she couldn't stand up to a Connie or a Trinc.
  17. Hah it wasn't even close at the beginning. The Diana and Venus dominated until about a month ago. You people are funny ????
  18. You know they are too lazy to read the first page and skip right to the end with assumptions. ????
  19. Which brings my next question, comparing the Mordaunt to the Ingermanland. Does she compare favorably or is it not even a contest? If she handles poorly and her armament is not up to par, why consider her at all? Based on looks alone?
  20. She's a pretty ship, there's no denying it, but the fact she's smaller than the Surprise and likely weaker than the other rates ingame is giving me pause and I'm surprised it's not giving others the same reaction. Are we really going to consider adding an archaic design into the game? If so, does adding the Mordaunt open the door for other older ships to enter that "look nostalgic but are otherwise worthless to sail" as has been argued countless times before? I'm not necessarily trying to open an old sore subject, nor put her down so readily, but I'm also very surprised she's going to be in the next vote so quickly with her cons so readily visible.
