I don't see how this is a big deal, since no one in their right mind will buy it at that price.

I sent out an email earlier to the Turkish Naval Museum in Istanbul, I'm hoping to receive a reply in the next few days.

Very little I'm afraid, but she did participate in the Battle of Imbros and the Battle of Matapan in the same year she was launched. Which Arslan Basli is the question, there's two.
-
Agreed. I'd rather see the America, Independence, or Franklin than the Pennsylvania.

Name: Arslan Başlı Launched: 1717 Designation: 4th/5th rated lineship Guns Carried: 44+ Discovered this gem online while doing some browsing, best I could dig up after a while. I'm quite sure she'll never see the light of day due to the current timeline of ships being offered up for the devs to put ingame, but she's a nice looking vessel regardless:

'Ingermanland' Russian 3-Rate 1715 (With Plans)
Haratik replied to Persion's topic in Ships of the line
If there were 66-68 gun ships ingame, I'd venture to suggest they be considered small third rates, but not a 64 gunner. -
AI battles/AI Traders

Relax people, the game is still in Alpha and is NOT a finished product. We're testers for a reason! -
The Dutch and the Portuguese need more representation that's for sure.

'Ingermanland' Russian 3-Rate 1715 (With Plans)
Haratik replied to Persion's topic in Ships of the line
According to the patch she is now officially a 4th rate. Seems that all the future 64s will be 4ths now with that declaration. I'm content. -
More lower level ships are coming. As previously stated (if people would bother to read), the 2nd rate is already in the game files. For all we know one of the fourth rates will be chosen.
-
Prince of Wales is not on the poll, only the ships on the poll are being considered. Try to remember that. That being said, the Christian VII is a second rate and is supposedly being worked on already.
-
Not part of the current poll. She's also at the extreme end of the timeline and possibly out of it entirely. If she were to be considered, her plans would be needed, and so far we've seen little to no evidence of Ottoman ship plans other than those which came from nations at war with the Empire at the time.
-
She's purportedly already in the game files, best to place your vote on another
-
No secret there. She wouldn't be able to participate in port battles in shallow waters meant for nothing larger than corvettes and sloops o' war.
-
Perhaps you should pay more attention to the flip side of your argument. If the new ships are better than the Trinc or Connie, who the devil would play those? Most of us want variety, not exceedingly better performing ships. Who cares what outperforms what. More ships is the idea. Save your breath for something that actually matters.

Scuttlebutt has it that a pirate fleet under the command of the renegade Lord Viscious was scattered at San Sebastián today by a TF led task force. Somewhere in the fracas the pirate leader was sunk, much to the joy of all present. The word has begun to spread and many see this as a beacon of hope. You may have spoken too soon.

Love it! Making me want to get into this sort of stuff!

I'm all for variety on ALL ends of the spectrum, but for now choosing between the Victory, the Commerce, and the Santisima is where it should be and should stay for now. More in a year or so might be alright, but the lower levels need to be fleshed out more. There's rumor of a new second rate under construction and we definitely need more representation by Portugal, the Netherlands, Spain, and the Scandinavian countries at all levels. But I'm sure the devs have a gameplan already, we just need to stay vocal about what we would like to see! And that means no more British ships for a little while (though I do enjoy their lines)

'Ingermanland' Russian 3-Rate 1715 (With Plans)
Haratik replied to Persion's topic in Ships of the line
Exac Alright, I see your point. But then again, I've always considered a 64 to be a fourth rate when compared to the larger 74s and 80s. They just don't stack up all that well. -
'Ingermanland' Russian 3-Rate 1715 (With Plans)
Haratik replied to Persion's topic in Ships of the line
Is there a reason she's listed as a third rate? Or are the Constitution, the Indefatigable, and any future heavy frigates or razees going to exclusively own the role of "fourth rate" vessels? A little disappointed with the rating system here. -
Fast teleport pirate outpost exploit.
Haratik replied to Almirante Jimi's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
Also fail to see the issue here. If the ship wasn't losing durability, I'd say it's an issue, but so far as you/we know, it's still losing durability, thus not an exploit. -

OR You could always start a clan yourself. Cheers! -
There were no less than 6 and no more than 10 ships of the line built for the Continental/United States Navy. Only a few of them ever really fired their guns in anger, though they served in the Pacific, the Gulf of Mexico, and in the Mediterranean.

Texas Navy sloop-of-war Austin
Haratik replied to HackFish's topic in Unrated and other light combat vessels
The USS America and any previously constructed lineships of the Continental/United States Navy have a better chance of getting in than the Pennsylvania. Not trying to dampen your hopes, but if the devs lowered the restrictions, you could potentially see screw propelled ships and ironclads being proposed.- 4 replies
