  1. Wind if you have better images than what I have posted, you have my permission to edit and replace.
  2. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/7707-american-ship-collection-with-plans/page-3 Third post from the bottom
  3. Might be an additional plan in the American Ship Plans thread, Wind, from a 3D imaging perspective. I don't recall quite correctly.
  4. Holsten and Holsteen being the same ship, just different spelling correct?
  5. Is this her? Site of origin: Search Result list of ships from same site: Search list
  6. My problem is I can't find them in my directory. I also don't know how to align them so the ship can take proper form. Wind's tutorial posts are no dialogue and speed form, so I can't follow them. Edit: So my problem was that the images wouldn't show up as long as I had them in My Documents. When I created a new folder on my desktop and sent the images there, they popped up in Blender. Initial frustration levels down to 0%
  7. First problem right off the bat. Applying blueprints. The videos I've come across don't seem to effectively indicate how to apply them.
  8. War is war no matter how you look at it. They tried fixing gank groups on PotBS. Didn't work too well. Leave it be. Maybe a form of communication from spies or what not to players of hostile activity in the area, similar to the coastwatchers in the Pacific during WW2, would be beneficial.
  9. A Jorge Juan frigate would be nice, especially after reading on his influence on the Spanish Navy Thanks Talos for that, I will be looking at those plans you posted. As a relative newbie to this, any and all tips and aid is appreciated.
  10. I would be open to a Spanish frigate or corvette. If you have any ideas, send me a pm with the plans and info I would need, or a link to the page. As for lineship projects, I'll be looking at the following: Portugal: Principe Real Spain: Princesá USA: America or the 1799 plan That decision doesn't need to be made now of course, but those are what I'm considering atm
  11. Gotta say as of late I've been considering giving 3d modeling a go. Downloaded Blender and ready to make my fingers bleed. I'm going to take prior advice and work on a smaller ship until my feet are properly wet. The question is, Spanish or American (I'm eventually aiming for a larger ship project, and there are several from both nations that appeal)?
  12. It could have been worse. If not for the atmosphere in Britain, we'd have the Union Jack flying in every state. Americans have this insufferable trait to refuse to accept defeat, or have you forgotten that?
  13. Not to get off topic, but the subject of the United States losing the war is a larger subject than I previously thought. Any number of Canadians I've met are firmly convinced the United States lost the war whereas we Americans consider it a victory. I guess it could be stated that the United States lost the war by being defeated in Canada. The British were facing anti-war sentiment at home after the defeat of Napoleon and their original goals on the sea were rendered moot by the former. With no further reason to war with the United States, both sides agreed on a peace that began what is today one of the strongest alliances in the world. The fact that the borders were redrawn to pre-war lines indicates that neither side was really willing to continue fighting. I further guess you could say that neither nation won the war, and the war was little more a brief skirmish by a growing nation seeking to gain respect from its former mother country. There's more to it than that to be sure, but that's for another topic. As for the Connie being the greatest wooden warship ever built. Certainly not. The greatest American wooden ship ever built? That's a case to be taken seriously.
  14. Doubtful, as the San Fernando class of fourth rates were built around 1717 onward and the Pavel is from the last decade of that century.
  15. I'm fine with the Independence as a ship of the line, but there are better American examples out there. And with the razee plan falling well out of the timeline, I don't see how anyone could support it. Maybe it's just me. Personally I'd love to see as many ships from each nation make it into the game, but there will be limitations I'm sure, and this is one that would fall into that "maybe we shouldn't" category.
  16. Maturin hit the nail on the head. The only reason I had not posted the Indy's refit is due to the date attached. I personally don't think we need a bigger, badder Connie. The Indefatigable is coming, and while I'm sure there will be other big bad frigates as well, please, for the love of God, let's not bend the rules as they stand now.
