  1. Looks like fun. I'm a PVP1 guy, but as an American, I could perhaps enjoy jumping onto PVP2.
  2. With all of the past four pages of forum banter aside, I must admit- I am rather amused at the extraordinary irony of SORRY turning Brit. I just hope that the aptly named [TOXIC] clan doesn't make us Brits look bad on the forums eh?
  3. I must confess, I was being rather unfair as I was somewhat annoyed. Some could say I was "salty", the term is applicable It is rather tedious to see fellow players ridiculed so frequently by the clan, and I was annoyed. I apologize.
  4. I really look forward to the new patch! The change to fine woods is a good idea, and the inclusion of land in port battles will make things great! Also, I very strongly support the "Battlefield III" strategy. Great work, as always. I look forward to testing this.
  5. You Spanish lot seem like honorable fellows! Mind If I visit with my Rattle and do some privateer work up there instead? Or, perhaps duel some fine Spaniards? The pirates seem much more unhappy when I mess around in their waters.
  6. It looks like she's a German ship. The livery used is certainly not a conventional English color scheme, and the stern offers a clue as well. The flags over the Great Cabin almost seem to have an eagle in them? Could be Prussian Eagle, or just an overall symbol of the HRE. The figurehead contradicts this, however, as the guy looks like he's in English naval dress, and just looks English with that face.
  7. Congrats, a fleet of ships of the line and larger frigates defeated a squadron of 5th rates. Truly, you are the unchallenged masters of the sea Propogana is funny if it makes sense. This doesn't make sense.
  8. Fascinating! The pictures almost indicate a sort of "Xebex" design? The stern and the luff shape of the ship says it personally, but I think I'm in the wrong era.
  9. Shameless plug is shameless! However, it is a good video. Subbed
  10. That wouldn't help. It would just transform every battle into a potential 25v25 fleet action over time...
  11. Pfft, that's boring. I dont play the Brits because I think they will win, I play them because I love the nation and its history. And a lot of friends and acquaintances play it as well. They probably switched to pirates because they wanted to be pirates, not because they think that pirates are awesome and OP
  12. I said that in brit chat last night, and I got support and praise from my fellow British. I think the nation understands that there needs to be better unification and a proper response against SORRY and the pirates.
  13. SORRY's numerous victories against my fellow Brits and the "blockade" of Jamaica presents a fairly significant lesson for the British Nation as a whole... For those who have seen the numerous screenshots by the lively Lord Vicious, one thing is fairly consistent- all of the British are different clans or not aligned. I also have noticed that the fleet as a whole is disorganized or inconsistent. SORRY's fleets are organized in said battles. They're all the same clan, they're probably all in the same chat with a line of leadership established. They also have a line of tactics and doctrine established. In contrast, the British fleets are more mixed up in ship combination and have many different clans and independents involved. Also, though I have not been part of any of these engagements, I'm going to assume based upon what we've seen thus far, that there isn't as clear as a line of leadership. Tactical knowledge and discipline appears lacking. I think once British clans can organize a counter-resistance, things will change. Also, perhaps attacks on pirate home waters could draw away the pirates. It's worth noting that the pirates did lose their foothold on Port Anty. Whether or not they can say it was a honorable retreat, tactical withdrawal or something else, the port was recaptured.
  14. ... did someone say that? xD I think that would be an inaccurate statement. SORRY is one of the most skilled PVP clans out there.
  15. So, why does anyone care? All I know is that we saw some damn fine tactics and PVP from SORRY from the past few days, and that eventually we won back our ports. This should be a potent learning experience for all, especially in terms of organization and tactics on the part of the British Nation as a whole Sounds like a lot of drama.
  16. I recommend finding a ship you like, and sticking to it! I know that you probably want to get your next rank as soon as possible, but I strongly recommend slowing down and getting to know a ship. I personally adore the Pickle. Despite having the rank to crew larger ships, I decided to stick around and use the Pickle for a while. As I worked up crafting levels and continued to sail the pickle, I learned every detail of how the ship operated. You must understand that these ships are not just wooden vessels with guns and sails, but complex machines that perform in very different ways. The game does a very fine job implementing this! I've applied this to the Essex and Surprise as well. Find a ship you love, and learn about it! I fear the experienced and well-educated player in a Surprise (or, as Mr. Hethwill can attest, two very damn good pirates in privateers who know their ships well!) much more than an under-crewed or inexperienced player in a Trincomalee. Captains who know the capabilities and functions of their vessel are good captains, and potent enemies.
  17. Next time I didn't realize that KPR's been "blockaded", if you will, to such an extent. Good thing I emptied my production buildings at Morant xD
  18. Because why the hell not! Tried my best to re-create my beloved Essex in the good o'l world of Minecraft. I think she pays tribute to the Essex well. In-game, she's the HMS Essex, in the service of the Royal Navy of an MC Roleplay server I've been a member of for the past 2 1/2 years. Shameless plug is shameless. Construction: Hull and Furnishings: Completed Product:
  19. I expected nothing less from the Fighting Jacks! Brittania Rules the Waves!
  20. Oh boy, a super fast 18-pounder 40-gun frigate with "near perfect sailing qualities"? I think the pirates would love this (and so would I)! Surprise gets an upgrade!
  21. She looks like a narrower, luffer version of the Bellona with a wicked paint upgrade! The black goes well with the blue and gold trim.
  22. Ooh, plans for paper model shipbuilding too! I now feel obliged to print this out and build her! Perhaps, if the project goes well, I will post her here
