  1. What are you talking about? Because its taking place in Russia, its a world cup of shame?
  2. Never give up https://imgur.com/a/VpKaZKO
  3. If equal, or NEARLY equal BR can join on same side, it could work:) Not this 8 vs 3 we have now in patrol zones.
  4. @Gregory Rainsborough `s suggestion might go into right direction. Blockbuilding was allowed with last feature, because mostly nations with biggest player base, could choose their prefered allies. Simple klicks on the button, made you feel often, you have allies, you actually don`t want to have.... Maybe few adjustments..... 1.If a nation can have ONLY 1 ally at the time, we could avoid blockbuilding . When a nation A with an ally declares war on nation B, no other nation can join the war, against those 2 nations, except their allies. 2. Casus Belli needed to declare war. "Nation A attacking permanently traders of nation B" , "port XY owned by nation XY within declared "capital protection zone", "nation XY has rank 1,2,3 in conquest", a task from Europe " a Letter from the King" , Campaigns etc...Therefore, GOALS need to be known AND DECLARED, to prevent endless wars, like during last coalition era. When the GOAL is achieved, by 1 or another side, war ends within 24 hours. 3. When a war between 2 nations is over, for 1 week, no other nation can declare war on one of those, to allow them recovery from losses. 4. I see a problem having "neutral" status..Traders are protected, warships can attack eachother..Hmm...Might cause many issues. RVR screening? PVP? 5. What about pirates? Where do they fit in? 6.Add finally "Trade agreement"..Let traders sail around and generate MONEY for each side, and each port.
  5. Yes to diplomacy in game, as long it isnt stupid button clicking, which we had.
  6. I would remove ALL speed upgrades from this game if i could.
  7. WO/BLANC clans have mostly americans and canadians in their clan no? so, no big deal... We shall see how long your enthusiasm will last Nothing is more satisfying when a bored superpower(Sweden), has a designated village idiot(France), which can be dragged out of closet, just to practice fleet fighting or give him beating, for fun Just to remember the dude in that closet, he can always be pulled out, get spanked, and put him back. So he might learn one day, where he belongs
  8. currently there are not enough, because everyone is waiting for new updates, This project needs NEW things like this one suggested, and NOT always the same reworked. If players have something to do when they log in, NOT ONLY shoot ships and craft ships, then more people will join the game. If this is going to be a pew pew game, with hauling stuff from A to B to make a new ship, it is going to fail. Everywhere i go, i hear people WANT MORE in game to do. And currently, there is not much to do, because basically not much has changed for a long time.
  9. Ofc they will. WE HAD THIS ALREADY, i think you weren`t playing that time. If a drop rate is high enough, ships WILL BE in market, means anyone can buy them. It will make it boring in long terms, when anyone can sail those ships. We don`t have any econ in game, btw..... Well that is the whole point If gold/purple ships are too rare, noone will sail them, because afraid to lose, if they are NOT, anyone can have them. Ultimately nothing will be achieved with these steps....
  10. Which ports are those? I bet they are worth s...t. Look at Nassau or Santo Domingo, Little Harbour, La Navasse.... free for all and generating huge income.BECAUSE they have something to offer and people trade there. If anyone could tax the free ports, or at least calculate their income, you would see how much money is made there. Closing ports for trade, will NOT make more money, it is a defensive measure, a tactical one. If some day we can make ships again with a chance of getting a purple or golden one, 3 things will happen. 1. Ultimately ANYONE will be able to sail a purple or golden one, which can only lead to saturation and boredom. 2. You will find those ships in market ,many of them, and prices will be enormous. Which again, if those are available, again leads to boredom and saturation. 3. If golden ships stay rare, nobody is going to sail them anyway, but keep them in port, for duels without sinking or whatever. In the end we will end where we were, about 18 months ago.
  11. Folks i am telling you this will not work in long terms........Focus on money and taxation of population. None of those shiny things(bonuses) can make enough tax revenue, making a port valuable.
  12. This will not work properly in long terms. Boredom and lack of content is what kills RvR. Locking a region or a port only for 1 clan, is like having a rare toy, ultimately 1 day you get bored of it, and you toss it away.
  13. Not at all. Make a real achievement in RvR, alts won`t matter.
  14. Alts are not ruining RvR. RvR is ruining itself, because there is no real goal to achieve.
  15. Less money, less taxes, port useless. Great idea. As mentioned, if both of us have same things, why bother fighting for it. Btw, we would have even less players now, if alts wouldnt be able to buy Cartagena Tar, teak or white oak.. John Doe, not the player:) would say " screw this, they have best woods, best upgrade for thickness, i can not even buy it with my alt". quits the game. Go figure.
  16. I wrote why. Upgrades, bonuses, whatever can be BOUGHT with ALTS. You can not erase them, and you can not forbid them. Money and taxes are the key for RvR, not regional bonuses which we had already, or Cartagena Tar. If you have a "strong hull" bonus and i have the same bonus, what is the reason to attack that port, but only to..well, attack you? To have fun? You will never be able to motivate players again, cooking the same soup over and over again.
  17. Something else..With taxation feature, some kind of economic warfare is possible. This just needs to be extended in a propper way. Port needs to be VALUABLE, needs to be SUPPLIED, and needs to GENERATE MONEY, needs TAXES from POPULATION, then it has a real VALUE. Cut the supply, population goes down, TAXES go down, NATURAL DISASTERS, BLOCKADES, RAIDS, UPRISINGS, foreign PROPAGANDA, all these things might influence TAXATION. Same in opposite direction..SUPPLY inhabitants with food, luxury stuff, POPULATION can be increased, and taxes go up, treat them well, they won`t follow enemy..and so on. That is a real reason for a war, not a regional bonus, where every player can buy an "alt", open outpost and shipyard, and craft same ships as enemy. Nations already now, fight for MONEY ports, not so much for teak/white oak ports. Why? Because money is still THE exchange medium for activities in the game.
