  1. Last time i suggested this, the answer was" we are not sure that this would help a game"... We shall see.
  2. You are missing the point..... Prussians would win either way, even joining with Mercs, Rattles and Niagaras, considering the numbers... Would be probably a little bit harder, but the outcome would be the same. The main reason why @Havelock posted SS, was the amount of DLC ships in that battle. So, if one side has no DLC ships, or significantly less, it is going to lose a PB automatically. This needs to be changed, and i am trying to figure out, how the other ships can be balanced now, to face Requin as equals in battles..No idea. Damage done, we saw this before..I would say screw shallows then, no point being there, spending money AGAIN.
  3. Hmm.. Maybe green for those which are friendly, red enemy`s ports, and blue? free ports? Or is it to "gaudy"?
  4. What is the saying? " A picture tells more than 1000 words"?
  5. No point introducing new patrol mission, untill the "gank issue" isn`t solved. Nassau patrol is unfortunately best example for it...Small ships, lots of fun, low costs if you lose, but hey, who likes to fight alone vs 6 enemies.? No thanks.
  6. Well yeah, like i said, it is just an idea of trying to make ports kinda more valuable, give them some sort of function if you want...I guess it would be pretty hard for a nation/clan to defend a port which was named "naval base", i guess we would see a lot of battles near those. And ,yes, any idea or proposal here is welcome
  7. I would like to see us being able to define a role of a captured port, once it was conquered. Since most ports, do not have any particular role in the game, but dropping and consuming trading goods,(although consuming ports are mostly rare), changing the purpose of captured port, might make many ports more valuable, and maybe increase the RvR efforts. At this early morning , i have only 3 possible ideas, each of those roles/functions/purposes would give a port a certain role, after being captured. If the readers have more ideas, feel free to add those. 1. Naval base= X% discount on each level when making a shipyard, X% possibility for an additional permanent slot/s when crafting a ship, free repairs and crew replenishment, X% more AI ships with PLANKING and TRIM in market, X% less LH needed crafting a ship, additional fort can/could be added/crafted(Would like to see that in game) Costs per day---200 000 Gold. 2. Trading port= Ability to increase or decrease the amount of trading goods in that port by X%, ability of choosing which trading goods(british,dutch,french,etc...) OR CRAFTED goods, CAN BE imported, ability to INCREASE OR DECREASE demand AND supply of imported and exported goods. X% discount on BUYING trading goods in port X, for clan members, X% of surcharge for selling imported goods in a port, for clan members. Costs per day--500 000 Gold 3. Manufacturing port= less LH needed for ALL crafted goods/materials,cannons by X% in that port, X% discount on each new building in the port, X% additional resources when crafting resources, X% discount on all crafted goods selling to clan members/friendly clans, X% surcharge on all crafted goods selling to non-clan players, X% discount expanding warehouse. Costs per day--100 000 Gold Some might say, to much PvE, honestly i don`t even know if this would work..Needed to get rid of this idea. Hopefully @admin and many others may read it. Thanks.
  8. We have already lightnings in OW This was the last new thing, before i logged off..(making a break atm) They look pretty good.
  9. And this A clan COULD set a buying priority for quartermasters of the clan, but humans are weird creatures.....
  10. Hmm... Because the SELLER is not the issue, the CONSUMER is, Banished. Seller will always make a profit, the issue is how the other can handle "austerity". If i sell only Refits, like you suggest, i could easily triple the price, but who would buy it then? And atm, it seems that Cartagena is ALWAYS making profit, including alts, including owner clan, including Banished, who needs 1 Refit in lifetime Win/win/win... I could close the port, risk the whole world attacking me, if i leave it open, everyone loves me If that port is closed, and only the owner clan has the monopoly, it does not mean automatically, that the owner can make LARGER profits, it depends on demand of the good. Let`s not focus on Cartagena Tar, watch all other ports having "valuable" resources(T/WO, Copper).
  11. Come on Banished You have Carta as upgrade like everyone else Point is clan gets the money anyway, what alts do with that freaking Tar, i guess our Quartermasters don`t care..(could be wrong though)
  12. Well we have the both That is why HRE is so cool, right ?
  13. No it`s not a "simple economics". The income from Cartagena goes straight into clan`s cash. You can`t control the members selling individually refits to anyone.
  14. Of course they don`t, trader lives from trade, not from love for his nation. I never had any problems to buy Cartagena Tar, just had to wait few days.Alts never bothered me in trading tbh. RELEASE???????
  15. You are wrong rediii. If i close the port like Cartagena for everybody else, except for HRE, it would ruin the income in the port, and i would have to pay taxes for it, in long terms.(Maybe..) And if Carta isn`t so OP anymore, why is everyone still buying it? Log in and tell me how much income Cartagena has now..(maintenance is through, i guess) Thanks.
  16. Is EDR disbanded, or did they quit playing? Good luck in your new homeland
  17. And that is a hair in the soup my dear..... Those "alts", but not only them, all independents are driving trade in game and provide often upgrades and resources for PVPers who doesn`t give a f..k about those things. #If alts wouldn`t set contracts in closed ports, like Cartagena, which is supplying EVERYBODY playing this game, we would read another post in forum " We need more Cartagena Tar ports"... And not only Cartagena Tar..Teak, White Oak, and all these shiny things in the game..... Suddenly, RvR is dead again, everyone has everything, because too many are requesting MORE resource ports here in forum, and because HRE has already 500 Cartagena Refits, it doesn`t matter if @Havelock bans all other clans from Cartagena, or even if we lose it..Screw RvR, we make a break again... Action and reaction mate.
  18. You exclude too many from trading, you will kill the trade. Mentioning Moscalb here is not a very smart example of an independent, since he does not care a lot about, trade, money, resources..at least i am imputing this now Clan cash lives from trade, selling resources to the others, or do you think our beloved HRE likes the weather and the beaches at Nassau, Cartagena, Santo Domingo, etc? , and that is the reason why our smart quartermasters and leaders decided to to go there?
  19. #If alts wouldn`t set contracts in closed ports, like Cartagena, which is supplying EVERYBODY playing this game, we would read another post in forum " We need more Cartagena Tar ports"...
  20. And yes, this to be mentioned...Many are not enjoying being in a clan, because of different reasons, and many independent players would be practically excluded from everything, which would be the wrong message in the game to potential newcomers.
  21. If clan wars, then only WITHIN predetermined nations, which are not changing the owner, as a nation. For example a map as it was after the wipe. So there fore, a map reset would be needed. So if clan XY attacks a spanish port, port stays spanish, but clan XY owns it. Clan XY can attack danish or british port too, port stays danish or british, only clan XY has all rights within that port. Civil wars among the clans WITHIN nations can not work, it would be a huge clusterfuck, with too many possibilities for screw up, abuse and all things that would make the game more stressful, but not more enjoyable.
  22. Well you need to specify your posts then, to avoid unneccesary replies
  23. Won`t help. You limit the amount of potential buyers in a port, you automatically lower the port revenue. Game needs more valuable ports, especially consuming ports, for trade, not excluding people from trade. #If alts wouldn`t set contracts in closed ports, like Cartagena, which is supplying EVERYBODY playing this game, we would read another post in forum " We need more Cartagena Tar ports"... Each nation, clan, is free to attack any profitable port on this map, so go for it.
