Last time I say this for the people who don't read the entire thread. You can reduce a nation to such a state they no longer pose a threat. This takes them out the picture The Danes did it to the Swedes and the French. We in my opinion could of done the same to the Spanish. Brits and Dutch had them on the ropes and with 2 more weeks of campaigning could of imposed something binding on them or left them in a state, it would of been a month before they get their shit together in anyway that can threaten Britain. Its all getting off topic though. In General( in my opinion) the people in charge of RVR for the most part lack any clear strategy and direction and have no clear objectives so wars simply drag on. These same people who expect people to fight over the same ports time and time again without any real plan are getting upset when people cant be arsed. Its dented a few egos evidently but I wanted to get that off my chest.

The bigger the ego the bigger the but hurt, save your money for the conquest flags, I sink and get sunk daily no need to pay anyone for that it comes with the game.

I don't pretend to represent anyone other than myself. ill spell the strategy out for you. You cant fight a war in the east with a Hostile Spain in the west. So you have 2 options, Peace or take them out. I would of preferred taking them out for breathing space. The second option I don't think either side would manage a lasting peace settlement. Players swap nations all the time. Many glory seekers have swapped to Danes many Spanish went Pirate and back again. If a nation looses players they will pop up on another nation. As long as they don't quit the game no harm done. Some people like a challenge and will swap to an under dog.

I am not being self righteous, I am simply pointing out why I and many other people have absolutely zero interest in fighting port battles for the British nation at the moment. While Havana can not be taken, Spain could of been burnt down to one port and left with a handful of players, it would of taken them weeks if not months to rebuild. In that time we could of crushed the French with the our Dutch allies and then had the final show down with the Danes. But of course you knew better, yet here we are being asked in Brit chat to fight again over the very same ports against the very same people so the whole process can start again? From what I have seen no one at the top has a very clear idea on strategic planning and meaningless ports get taken and lost constantly reminiscent of WW1 trench warfare. That's my opinion nothing personal. Guess I am sick and tired of countless port battles that led to nothing.

A while ago I advocated taking Spain out the war completely, then turning east and teaching the French a lesson. But no it was not to be, despite every ones hard work and countless port battles the dogs of war were called off and the leash put on. Spain was let off the hook and everyone is all of a sudden chummy. Fast forward to today and now the Dutch are under the cosh in a big way, and Brit chat has people moaning about lack of people participating in port battles. What amazes me is the complete lack of common sense and military planning the people in charge of these RVR war operations have. I have seen ports captured through blood sweat and tears, only to be lost a day or so later totally undefended, I have seen and endless back and forth of meaningless ports change hands, and I have seen a complete lack of foresight and an even bigger lack of will to deliver a knock out blow when the opportunity presents itself. Now people are once again being hounded at to take part in yet more port battles over the same ports that are time and time again taken then lost, its hard to get motivated for this because should you ever prevail some diplomat will step forward and advocate peace and undo all the hard work you put in over the campaign. So for my part until a leader emerges that has some strategic sense and plan on how to wage a war I have very little motivation to play endless port swapping and have much more fun around Jamaica.

Behind every online clan is an ego. The biggest of witch will be found behind a clan named after the person who created it.

Getting hammered can be good for your faction. It will clear out a lot of glory hunters and profit merchants, and leave you with the rocks that your nation is built on. As long as those rocks don't brake the rest is not important. The fewer ports you have the easier it is to defend them, there are a lot more hostile NPC fleets to farm in your home waters and your members have less distance to sail to get involved in PVP. Noobs are getting farmed at every major capital regardless of how well the nation is doing in RVR. At least when a nation is down to one or two ports the vets are brought closer to the new players and not half way around the world on various fronts

You misunderstand me. I was talking about what you guys think is going to happen once the timers are gone. This will mean Americans and British Aussies and other insomniacs can attack you around the clock. Surely you must have thought about this and like I said you need to encourage more multi nationals in my opinion.

Its been said before, make your faction more inviting to the word community and more English speaking friendly and start recruiting sailors from around the world. I had a Spanish captain for a while, I like the role play of it I tried to make it work, no one in nation chat though ever bothers with English and its the same on team speak. No one can make you use another language if you don't want too, but how do you think the Dutch nation would get on if it only spoke Dutch? What your nation needs is one or two large English speaking clans made up of multi national players. Every other faction seems to have them except Spain. Why don't you look into this issue, when the timers go you are going to need someone to defend your assets around the clock. The server does not go to bed every night,

I don't use the perk myself, but I have no problem with it, it can work for or against the user.

As Tommy says, the Swedes are simply replacing the Pirates, in the Danish axis of evil, apart from that no real changes.

I think you reached the point where you had vastly over extended yourselves and could no longer defend what you had, let alone push any further. Also didn't some of the Aus clan switch back to British again? Its a nice story but the truth is you lost a lot of members back to the British and Spanish faction, you also faced a resurgent USA and a much stronger British faction than the one you were used to fighting. In short you had reached your high water mark and the tide was turning.

Are there any major nation clans going to be ignoring this current circle of back patting?

Some one tell me, what is the difference between wiping the pirates back to one port, and wiping any other nation back to one port? Its all players behind the keyboard, just a different colour flag behind the ship. Spain France and the Danes were all quite happy to work with the pirates, why on earth should only the pirates have to pay the full price? I hear all this nonsense we need Spain to have ports blah blah blah, what makes them any different? Many Spanish even switched to the Pirate nation and then switched back again when things didn't go so well. I certainly don't like the pirates and happy to see them killed , but the French stand out as the ones who really need a good battering if anyone does.

Just because 2 of our enemies fall out with each other under the pressure of our attacks, I hope this does not mean hostilities will cease against either party. If the Danes think this is a way out of the war for them they must surely be joking right? Don't tell me their is going to be a complete circle jerk between every single nation because that really would be laughable. Are there any nations or at least major clans out there that think all this pussy politics is getting beyond a joke?

It shouldn't be possible to vanquish everyone, and if one nation becomes too much the others will turn on it. its been proved already every nation has its finest hour before they get burnt out and another one steps up. Making a peace deal with everyone is the sort of behaviour that can ruin a lot of peoples fun.

That's coming from the people that called their campaign make Britain quit? Did that bother you and all your friends when you were winning? To hell with peace, it wont last long anyway I hope. All you diplos are trying to turn the game into a boring PVE server with the odd arranged combat. Its not what I paid my money for.

Does anyone think the Danes Pirates and Spanish would of offered Britain terms once they had half of Jamaica? I think not. The Spanish should be wiped from the map just like the Pirates, and when that is done, all eyes should turn east and give the French their just deserts along with the Danes. The French and Danes have raided British waters constantly while their own home waters remain fairly safe. Wiping the Spanish off the map would provide a good chance to turn east and get some pay back without having to worry about the western front. Its peace treaties like this that will turn off the player base from boredom and lack of goals and ambition rather than winning or loosing wars. In my opinion the Danes need a total crushing like they gave the Swedes, and the French what can you say about them? They really need to feel some pain in their home waters and feel what its like to come under attack from multiple foes in their own back yard I would love to see them get what they deserve once and for all.

I would say the USA allied with Britain because both countries were completely under the cosh and were on the back foot. Britain might be strong atm but not long ago it was the Pirates that had almost complete control in the west and the Danes controlled the east. I would of said the 2 coalitions were about equal size total. Spain Pirates France Danes. V Britain Netherlands Sweden USA biggest difference I seen was co-operation and planning on one side seemed a lot more organised than that on the other.

My own opinion and it is just my own. The Spanish should be wiped out to one port by the allies along with the pirates, Then while they are recovering head east and pay the Danes and French their just deserts. Every time eyes turn to the East the Spanish emerge in the west and force a return. If the Spanish wont fight, even better get them off the map quickly and put them in a place where a campaign in the east could be fought without any Spanish interference. Do you think any of these people ( French Danes Pirates Spanish )would of offered Britain a peace treaty? No they wanted the whole of Jamaica rest assured of that fact, the campaign was called make Britain quit. Its peace that will destroy the game and turn off the player base on a PVP server. Unconditional warfare on the other hand is well worth login on for.

Keep blaming those timers if it makes you feel better. You got spanked, just like every other time you try riding on your Danish friends coat tails all the way to Jamaica. Its the same every single time, you make a large propaganda post on the forums get a few ports gifted to you buy your friends, when you get too close to comfort the Brits put you back in your place. I am sure if it was not for your Danish friends you would of been wiped off the map completely, you certainly deserve it. I was directly involved in taking port or two from you guys, they were your ports on your timers and you failed every time to defend them in numbers. What on earth makes you think you could capture British ports on any timer when you cant even defend your own ones on your own timers? Your living in a total dream world, you get given ports then you cant defend them, then you blame the fact the people who took them off you set an unsociable time on them. I said it before all the British important ports are on prime time timers, fancy a crack at them? knock yourself out son. We all know how it will end. Good day to you.
