Quelle est la durée de la traversée de l'Atlantique, disons de La Rochelle à La Martinique, au XVIIIe siècle ? 30 à 80 jours, avec une moyenne de 40-50 jours ? 6 semaines ? Le retour : un peu plus rapide ?

Par contre, rien n'empêche de faire tout de suite des traductions FR 'libres,' plus ou moins fun, à partir du fichier anglais : en 'pirate', en françois de l'époque ou en pseudo-breton compréhensible de tous...

Un fichier FR traduit par GL est censé arriver bientôt. On pourra alors améliorer la traduction si nécessaire.

Si j'ai bien compris, il va y avoir une traduction officielle du Français comme pour l'Allemand, le Chinois ou l'Espagnol. Donc le mieux est de l'attendre et de proposer alors des corrections si nécessaires.

I think that, like a mod, you 'modder/translator' do what you want. There will certainly be several files of the same langage.

I don't know whether or not you considered that. Concerning the ship names, it relates to any langage in NA.

I for one would have prefered a 'generic' career vaguely inspired by the lives of several admirals, where you could choose your nationality (French, Russian, Barbary pirates...), your enemy, the goal and the location of the battle/war/campaign, say from a list (besiege Toulon like in 1793, raids on coastal villages if you"re a pirate, conquer Malta...), maybe even the name of your character, etc. However I perfectly understand that the Ultimate series are focused on History, realism and reenacting real battles with real historical figures. Only anglo-saxon Admirals ? Are they the only admirable Admirals ? 🙂

L'indication de la hauteur de la ligne de flottaison est un bon indice, non ? Sur La Renommée, on imagine mal que cette ligne remonte encore après chargement, non ? (en fait, tout dépend de la variation engendrée par le poids supplémentaire...)

Au passage, j'imagine qu'une corvette de 8 comme L'Unité de 179x, avec ses 24x8 et 6x4, a un tirant d'eau proche de La Renommée.

Le tirant d'eau dépend de quoi ? puissance de l'armement et voilure, pour la stabilité ? lieu d'utilisation (haut-fonds, bas-fonds) ? .. ?
