its gonna be "Case is under investigation" and nothing is gonna happen probably, from my experience. But they should solve it somehow, and by the amount of suggestions about the topic it shouldnt be rocket science to sort it out.

they might be programmed to follow a target for x minutes though before disengaging. So combine 5 mins with say 60% speed boost, that would certainly bring problems 😛

i experienced it in another way. I remember when i wanted to craft ships, i kept say materials for the ship hull in Belize, and i bought canvas rolls and cordage and oakum from the shop because it made it easier for me then to haul it from misteriosa, it created a market, and i could contact that player if he wanted to provide me with more materials later on for deliveries etc.

Crafting in the game became obsolete when they redid it 3 years. We had to craft all the materials for the ships, gather and "assemble" them at the final crafting port. Now you use the raw resources, and really don't get the same feeling, it also took away a huge market for traders that wanted to compete in selling stuff needed for crafting like iron ingots, furnitures, barrels, knees, carriages etc. It was a really immersive system, yes it took maybe 10 clicks and you would have to wait 5 minutes to be done with all the crafting. But it has worked for games like WoW for 16 years. This also created a natural link with the players doing different stuff, trying to arrange certain markets and plans for ships. Now you can literally login > click harvest (whatever wood or hemp etc you want) > and craft the ship. You can say its good for gameplay as you get ships out faster for the guys that mostly want to fight, but it take away a big immersive part of the game, which should IMO be important in a Age of Sail game, which is trying to be as immersive and realistic as possible although keeping it playable. What could have been done is some kind of hybrid of the two systems, if you had the raw materials you could craft the ship, which would take you through the crafting process of all the sub object of a ship, and you could still also Now to swing back on topic, i personally don't like the dlc's we have imo they should be cosmetics, but since we already have them they should be craftable through permits ingame (think the Redoutable is like this, since i've seen people have several in their ports). I dont think a cannon dlc would be good, because what cannons should be dlc, it would limit the small amount of trading and economy between players that are still trying to make a business out of it, and would create the game even more shallow imo

GB's withdrawl from the swedish alliance (and reason of)

1. This is top reading content. 2. Havoc being Havoc 🤷♂️ -
what about musket firing that we have in UA: Age of Sail, this is a mechanic that would shine in Naval Action, i also love how you initiate boarding there, where the crew throws grappling hooks to drag the ship closer to them. With determined defender you would see crew men chopping off the Grappling lines.

Tutorial rewards

special reward (flag) for holding the record in a exam? reset the record board once every month? -
i know in Martial Arts that if you are still beating or continuing submission when your opponent is knocked/tapped out, you get disqualified and usually banned from further competition. Now from what i've seen from @Gregory Rainsborough in terms of skill i dont think he missed his chain broadside, its a clear chain broadside to the largest parts of the sails, even that its infact chain and not ball rounds explains alot. IMO he chained him to make him spend repairs for the next battle. Only way as i see it to solve these tribunals is adding a full free for all RoE where you cant damage or do minimal damage to flags of the same nation, so the nation you infact are in are your friends in battle and whatever other nation is free to kill
-
true, but atleast you wont have the problem with friendly fire. Now you cant shoot a ship when your friend is between you and your enemy because you might get reported for green on green, but it would certainly solve alot of green on green cases
-
maybe because of these green on greens, we might have to add shot zones, so if you're aiming so you have focused an friendly ship in the top right corner, you cant fire your cannons..
-
proper raiders usually raided the town, not a ship with the town treasury in it. They were also of smaller ships like frigates and such not huge lineships as we have ingame. But i agree that there should be possible to leave the battle
-
and and instead of saying "Ship" it should say "Ship-Class"
-
For immersion purposes, instead of showing the "Ship name" in the tab screen, maybe show it as "Ship class" and/or if its already done that in the tab screen in battle let the ships get random ship names from their original pool. e.g Bellona class Bellona Dragon Superb Kent Defence or Montanes Montanes Monarca Neptuno Argonauta Think this would feel alot more immersive for gameplay

buy paints for the victory marks (should ofcourse be such expensive so the preffered way would be to buy DLC since its not a competitive item ingame, and just a cosmetic), I also believe that the permits for lineships are to equal, there is really no difference in buying wasa v bucentaure v l'ocean in therms of cost, we know people have tens of thousands of resources in their warehouses waiting to be spent on replacement ships. The permit should reflect the decision done by the admirality to allow a captain to build such a ship, and should be rewarded there after.

DLCs / Painting and docks
erelkivtuadrater replied to Despe's topic in Current Feature Improvement Suggestions
imo there should be some way to craft these paints other then the DLC and paint chests, ofc the ingame crafting should take longer time getting the materials so it cant directly compete with the dlc -
well im not educated in business, but from what i believe i think its smarter to reinvest it into the game and WHEN they start to profit more then they use they can put that into other projects, but not before its stable. sorry its true its not available all the time. and so isnt your ship if you sink its gone, you have to start with a new one with new sets of upgrade
