  1. The US nation will not apologize for seeking RvR during its own prime time hours. Your nation is no more entitled to seek RvR during your prime time hours than the US nation is entitled to seek RvR in ours.
  2. If you've taken some time off its usually a good thing to check the "Politics" tab, or ask in your national chat what the current scene is. ;-) That said, it's good to see your Naval Action vids back on You Tube and welcome back to the game.
  3. Actually (if I am not mistaken) there are 5 counties/regions in the rookie zone that can change hands; 3 are currently held by the United States, and 2 are held by the British.
  4. Its remarkable that you managed to find a crew made up entirely of mutes. On the other hand, you are blessed that they are so eagle-eyed and intuitive with regards to identifying other ships.
  5. Actually, the North American players in the US nation don't do what you call "nightflips" for any such excuse. We are (attempting) to do "prime time" port battles. I hope that you appreciate that players in North American have as much right to play during their own prime time as you do in yours. And I use the word "attempting" because we are already hamstrung by the game mechanic which prohibits any RvR later than 9pm EST/8pm CST/7pm MST/6pm PST. Yes, those from the two western continental time zones (roughly 25% of the US population, including the most populous state in the country-California) have no opportunity at RVR on any server in Naval Action. How thrilled would you be if 25 % of the population of Europe (roughly Germany, France and the UK) were unable to participate in RvR during your own primetime?
  6. I saw a point you made in which (the impression I got) was that you thought Tommy and his clan was North American. And you were commending him on going to a Europe NA nation. My post was simply a point of clarification to your comment. My comment was no more, and no less, relevant to the question of night flips than your comment was.
  7. My bold/underlined emphasis above. I might be mistaken, but (Tommy) Shelby in real life is from Denmark (the real Denmark not the NA Danmark-Norge), and his Ocean clan group is a mixture of North Americans and Europeans. I will defer to Tommy or any of his Ocean clan guys to speak to their points of origin/national makeup.
  8. That is correct. The NA elections in the Untied States nation do not have an Electoral College. It would still be a challenge though to get 51% of voters in the US nation to vote for an alliance change.
  9. My bold/underlined emphasis above. You state that " there are not enough players inside the PB"; in other words not enough players from the US/North American time zones to help defend your ports during non-EU primetime hours. I seem to recall a US based PvP 2 player just a day or two ago who indicated that they were looking to help out your alliance. He approached the Danes and offered them his services. He (Sir Texas Sir, rolled to "Monsieur Texas Monsieur") asked for a ship to help them out. They gave him nothing, yet I do recall him still being at the PB at Puerto Plata, albeit in a fir Surprise because that was all he could find in the ship market. Well then he apparently contacted the French and offered them the services of him and his clan mates. Apparently that didn't work out very well either because he has now re-rolled his PvP 1 character to "Senor Tejas" . For all the complaints that I have seen posted by members of the Dane-Norske/French/Spanish/Swedish alliance about not having enough players from North American time zones, and the alleged difficulty in recruiting such players, it doesn't appear to me that your alliance even knows what to do with them when they show up on your doorstep offering their assistance.
  10. By your new name I presume that you are rolling to the Spanish nation. Good luck with that! I presume that we may/will see you around the waters of Cuba and other areas of the Spanish realm.
  11. Reading between the lines, is this what you mean?: If it's a 25 vs 25 fight the circles are OK, but if there are only 19 on one side vs 25 on the other then we should dispense with the 3 circles and force it into a rubgy scrum. Exactly how are the devs supposed to code something like that? Or should port battles only occur if the numbers on each side of the battle are exactly the same?
  12. My bold emphasis above. This story that people are pushing about winning on points somehow being dishonorable is a copout. Before the current 3 circles port battles mechanic people whined about how others would simply chain sails and run throughout the battle, or some whined about the rugby scrum port battles. So the devs changed it up to requiring fights in the 3 circles. This forced people to do something other than simply chain sails and run. It forced fleets to split up from the big blob of ships that we commonly saw. It introduced an element of strategy into port battle conduct: From where in OW should we enter? How to divide up the fleet into smaller squadrons so as to capture the circles? Who to shift from this circle to that one as the smaller battles ebbed and flowed? The devs changed the PB process up in an effort to address players complaints and suggestions. You either learn to adapt to the sometimes changing mechanics of the game or you get left behind.
  13. They are also useful if a scout ship happens to spot an enemy fleet and calls out the sighting/location in nation chat (or team speak chat..which might be considered another sometimes 'non-immersive' aspect to the game).
  14. From someone who does not generally play on PvP 2 (in the interest of full disclosure, I do have a PvP 2 British character but have not logged in to play @ PvP 2 for weeks) I wish you success on your meeting.
  15. Jeheil will be streaming it: https://www.youtube.com/jeheil
  16. The meeting is at 1500 server time (in other words about 1 hour from now). No one is up in Spain at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon? Are your siestas that long? ;-)
  17. The US ambassador and an alternate diplomat were elected by members of the United States Congress. The diplomats are not "in charge" of the US Nation, they are a communications channel with representatives from other nations. And I agree that a patch for the pirates is long overdue.
  18. My ships extends an offer to you and your officers to dine on board my ship, the USS Constitution. Dinner will be piped at 7pm EST (00:00) server time. I will ask the cook to prepare a low salt meal. Don't be late. ;-)
  19. So we must tailor our game to your convenience, even if it means fewer US players can participate? And shame on your for insulting females. #womensmarch
  20. Well, we shall see what the "fix" is that the developers implement and then react accordingly.
  21. Polling flaw. Even if you voted "No" for #4, you are still required to input a response for #5. Maybe add "Not Applicable" as a choice for #5.
  22. Yup, but the "suggestion" by the Danes/Eastern Alliance to the US PvP 1 nation has been to do our prime time PBs only on the weekends. We often get lower #'s for PB on weekends than we do on weekday prime time for the reasons that you mentioned.
