  1. Yes each ally should have the option to join or decline.
  2. Came out of a battle near Montserrat an was transported half way across the map to La Tortue
  3. I like all of these suggestions and I would like to have more than on ship board another. First ship that starts boarding get the captured ship and can choose to make available. Support boarding ship helps take down crew.
  4. Replacement of lost crew from a battle should only be a percentage to represent the few injured that recover and the remainder of the crew replacement should come after entering a friendly or neutral port.
  5. I think a beak contact for the boarder needs to be added for ships that catch fire while boarding.
  6. Would rather have to go to port for repair materials and crew replacements than have them magically appear after every battle.
  7. Yes zoom for each ship should be to the the full hight of the highest mast. Would also like to have a spyglass in travel mode. Would like port products to be fixed so all see the same things for sale with a 6 hour replenish rate of products sold. This would add strategic value to ports and something to fight for and hold as an asset.
  8. I think teleport should stay for players that don't have as much gaming time. Someone with only 4 hours of gaming time a week would spend all that time just traveling and no time for combat.
  9. I like the size and gun compliment definitely a needed ship in open world.
  10. You see masts and sails on the cars passing on the road and time just the right broadside.
  11. Ships Remain in game for 5 min instead of 10 min after you log out of the game.
  12. I strongly agree with point 2. 2. SINKING: wooden ships actually dont sink that easily. it would be better to just render the ship "surrendered" or "incapacitated"
  13. So lets give him a watch as well as a Sextant
  14. I say yes I want as much of a world as they are willing to develop and this should be part of that world. I want avatars and and fully realized ship decks that I can walk about. real towns and buildings to enter along with item objects and everything else.
  15. The following should cover a few issues that are of concern. -Range -Color blindness -Reputation -Fleet actions -Screen shots A max range identifier through spy glass Identifies friend or foe.(Draws you in to assess) -Green circle for friend if flying a nations flag (Fly true or false colors) -Red triangle for foe if flying a nations flag (Fly true or false colors) -Yellow square for non aligned if not flying a nations flag. (Fly true or false colors) A shorter max range identifier for ships name. -Friend name in green (Helpful identifier for pvp fleet engagements) -Foe name in red (If you have engaged in action or hail in the past) -Non aligned name in yellow (If you have engaged in action or hail in the past) *Ships name replaced by captains name if ships hail is returned. *Identifier show hide toggle for those that want to take pretty pictures.
  16. This may be skirting at the edges of this topic question but as part of the trade aspects of the game I would like to see the ability to Craft chests with different sizes weights and volume for contents *( Volume and weight assignments should be a part of every item and should play an important roll in assessing ships cargo) Place chests and have a running log of those chests locations Sell and buy chests both filled and empty with items The ability to hire a store clerk to which you can attach chests to one set for goods to sell, one set for coin to buy and one set empty for goods received.
  17. Ian Anderson - The Secret Language Of Birds - Album (2000)
  18. Flags, Ensigns, Banners as ship identifiers are a very simple and practical tool that engages the player in community interaction. Used as communication though could be somewhat tedious. Still we are faced with the fact that signal flag in fleet engagement were in many instances key to command and control and the making or breaking in many a naval action example being Nelsons splitting of the French and Spanish fleet during the battle of Trafalgar. Having recently spied the post "Battle of Trafalgar Nelson's Tactics Fail!!!" http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/5143-battle-of-trafalgar-nelsons-tactics-fail/ gave me pause to ponder on a solution. Perhaps implementing a system that makes it necessary to have a line of sight in order to receive player transmitted chat messages would provide the key tactical aspect that visual communication played in Naval actions of the time period.
