  1. I am saying EVERY NATION should be able to play at their prime time. You get to have port battles at YOUR prime time against a nation that cannot fill the port battle. We should also be able to have port battles at OUR prime time. This whole thing is crap. All the US demands is that they be able to play at their prime time. Some how you think it is fair to attack the US at YOUR prime time, but it it wrong if the US attacks your nation at OUR prime time.
  2. pretty easy to figure out. You accuse the British of night flips and tell they to learn to win in prime time, thus your a Troll. At the same time the French have a port battle scheduled for 22:29 a whole 9 minutes earlier than the British scheduled. Troll. But if you can't win, complain until you get your way. The amount of negative reviews that will come if the Dev's go through with kicking an entire nation off a server they have been playing on for years will kill the game. So ya, complain until the Dev's commit business suicide, the game wont survive but you will be able to sleep.
  3. So let me get this right..... When the French attack at 22:29 that s OK, but if the British attack at 22:38 they are doing night flips? You sir are a troll and a hypocrite.
  4. Well sunshine, the VAST majority of the so called "night flips" HAVE been fully defended. So I as YOU "how much players do you have to defend PB when you are sleeping?" (or in english "How many players choose to play while others are sleeping") Look pal, It would be one thing if ALL port battles on US prime time were undefended but they are NOT! The night before you managed to get a full fleet into Islamorada and it was a good fight. We also saw a lot of spanish captains outside Remedios that did not join. Excuse me, don't you have an entire spanish speaking continent with a population of a few hundred million in the same time zone as the US?
  5. If you want a game like that, Try world of warcraft.....seriously, this is gladly not that type of game.
  6. Global Warming: Creators of enough salt to melt the polar caps.
  7. It may be that I am just tired of staring at the ass end of a traders brig and would like some other ships to stare at. Maybe some other shallow water trader ships....Trader Rattler or a new design.
  8. At first reading, I really like the idea. One of the biggest problems I see currently is the need of taking up outposts slots to craft regional bonus or to farm resources. I currently need to keep supplying resources to three outposts that I build ships in, plus I have several outposts I keep to farm in. That leaves very few outposts that I can put in forward areas to pvp out of. I'l like to be able to do away with the need of having a farm outpost, and outposts in regional bonus areas and use my outposts as places to stage ships. Eliminating the need of having these outposts dedicated to crafting regional bonus ships would be a real improvement. Here are a few additional changes I would like Buildings do not need to be in a outpost. They can be in any national, allied or freetown bring back shipyards for crafting ships, but allow crafting of parts in any friendly port. Can we get a larger shallow water transport ship? craftable cannons. Crafted cannons could have bonuses like faster reload, lighter weight, more accuracy. Along with officer bonuses, I would also like to have crew proficiency. The crew proficiency would increase of decrease depending on the amount of crew loss and they number of successful battles the crew as been in. Like with officers lives, surrendering would keep the proficiency of the crew for the surviving crew.
  9. Kinda a dick move to pawn your crap on your competitors website. Probably going to backfired because your game play looks awful.
  10. Their isnt a tutorial yet because the game is in Alpha and any kind of tutorial would quickly become out of date. few suggestions: Youtube has some great videos on how to sail and game features. Do a search for Naval Action and watch some videos. visit the guides section of this forum. Ask in game, I have helped several newbies learn the ropes ask in the "Help" channel or in Nation. join a clan or find a friend to sail with.
  11. it's an annoying insect with big balls envy? or slang for asshole. Either are appropriate. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/kloothommel
  12. You fool, You called down the thunder with your pathetic attatude, exploiting and general douchebaggery. Now you want to exclude huge parts of the world because mama is mad you aren't getting a good night sleep. You reap what you sow.
  13. Hands down the BEST post you have ever made. Hilarious!
  14. Cash Grabbing....REALLY? Let's calm the freak down people. The bottom line is Game labs is a BUSINESS. To STAY in Business they need to make money....GASP! NOT MONEY! THE ROOT OF ALL EVILS.... If they do not make money they close up shop, they shut down servers and then what are we all going to do? Dream about the thousands of hours we played Naval action? Do this. Take the amount you paid for naval action then divide that by the number of hours you have played. Is the hours of entertainment worth what you paid? For me, with over 4K hours playing I've paid less than a cent per hour of play time. A dang good deal. Game labs has not made another cent since I purchased my copy a few years ago, but I have continued to benefit from playing a game that I love. So hellya I'm willing to pay more to help development of Naval action. How much development time do you think your purchasing of Naval Action paid for? One hour? two? What is game labs going to do when they can no longer pay for more development? Either they find ways to make more money or they SHUT DOWN.
  15. This would be my suggestion to the DEV team: We have tested flags and we have tested hostility....Both have their problems and both have their merits. Can we not work with what works for both to come up with a combination of the two that plays to their good points and increases PVP? This is what I propose: Raids are triggered by purchasing flags like the old system. Raids are used to generate the hostility to trigger a port battle, the amount of hostility generated depends on what is accomplished during the raid. PVP kills/capture generate (or loose) some amount of hostility, destroying buildings do the same. 48 hours after hostility hits 100% a port battle is triggered.
  16. After spending hours sailing around empty PVP events looking for any players I'd like to make a suggestion. Please give a few points for time spent in the PVP event area, this would make going to the PVP event worthwhile even if you can't find any other players. To avoid someone exploiting the mechanic, require the the ships to remain near the center of the PVP event to get the points.
  17. Do we really need another NEW system, can't the current or previous dropped mechanics be adjusted to work better? A whole lot of design work, testing and proposed changes get tossed out without trying to simply fix mechanics that aren't perfect the first time. I'm beginning to have a real fear this game will not be completed because the core game design keeps changing. Could I suggest that mechanics are adjusted to work better instead of simply throwing out all the work and effort put into the design?
  18. I agree. At Least give a 5% to stern and bow armor.
  19. definitely supports some ships being able to shoot faster by having a more experienced crew and have better armor depending on where it was build and what wood..
  20. it could be as simple as providing a table of approved boat names and let the captain decide which name to use. I personally think that we should not be building unique named ships like "Surprise" "Bellona" "Constitution" we should be building ship types of classes like "third rate", "second rate" "first rates", ect and for the unrated ships we should be building rigging types like "snow", "Bark", "Brig", "cutter", "ship rigged sloop", "Top sail schooner", Then give us the option of selecting the ship blueprint where we would build a ship based off of a blue print like "surprise" or "Bellona" or the other ships designs in the game. If we really want to get fancy, when building a third rate ship, the game could randomly select a name off the list of third rate ships from history. This has a bit of historical accuracy as each ship was not unique, for example the Arrogant, Ramillies, Egmont, and Elizabeth classes were all slight variants of the HMS Bellona blueprint (ie "Class"). Those classes of ships accounted for over 40 different named ships like "HMS Edgar, HMS Zealous", "HMS Powerful", or "HMS Defiance" Even today we build ships with different names based off a common blueprint. Such as the USS John F Kennedy, Constellation, America and the Kitty Hawk (The ship I served on) were all part of the "Kitty Hawk Class" Aircraft carriers. I just really don't want to loose a ship to "Boaty McBoatface"
