Ours Barbu
Most of the french warships plans are preserved by the SHD (Service Historique de la Défense). There is a catalog which list all the plans and their location (in french, pdf, 259p) : http://www.servicehistorique.sga.defense.gouv.fr/sites/default/files/MV_PLANS-BATIMENTS-A-VOILES.compressed.pdf

Surcouf
Two months ? They are still in time ... I have already waited much longer than two months. BungeeLemming, I'm sorry I have not responded to your message... It's not cool.
BungeeLemming
well if you say two months is well inside their regular time I will wait some more. However I am not acustomed to such long waiting time for a freaking e-mail response. (rage-off) PM? well I was a bit disappointed but well. Could have been that you were on vacation, RL stuff got in the way or whatnot. No hard feelings. really
Ours Barbu
Generally in France, archives centers are slow to respond to sollitications email, especially when it comes to get a digital copy of an archive, and even more when these are not a specific academic work. And usually the fastest way to get a digital copy is to go there to photograph the desired archive with the agreement of archivists. Obviously, it is better to inquire if it is possible too with SHD. Niels Terkildsen
I recently stumbled upon the Danish National Archives' digtalised ship plans, with pictures of fantastic detail. It's a bit clunky to manoeuvre in but it's a lot better than orlogsbasen.dk. - You find the ship in the alphabetical register. - There you'll find some basic information, and in the bottom left "Tegninger hørende til skibet:" Which is: Drawings belonging to the ship. - These numbers are to be looked up here. And there you have it!
