Not really worth hunting wrecks anymore. Doubloons are at any corner and trading goods dont help improving the char in the first place.

My last two have been about that “quality”.

A player said on Global yesterday that he got 6700 Doubloons from an AI trader.  My last wreck had 1000 tons of cheap trade goods and 600 doubloons.  I can live without the trade goods on wrecks that force me to sail a TBrig to go get it.  Books, Mods, Mod Mats and Money.  Should never be over 600 tons.

we are not sure about final design of shipwrecks as there are many of them dropping per day compared to pvp and pve activities. We will adjust shipwrecks as we go.

What will definitely happen this week is the increase in crew pay in doubloons carried by NPC Combat ships and further slight improvements of doubloons from trading carried by NPC traders.
The current jump to 150-250 reals per doubloon is caused by abnormal trading profits and the bug in trader doubloon drops causing drastic reduction of supply. We expect gold coin prices to fall and stabilize around 10-40 reals per doubloon (double escudo).

Please keep in mind the relation between PvP doubloon drop and PvE doubloon drop. PvP doubloon drop should be much higher to balance the risk-reward relation.

PVP doubloon drop is pretty good.  I got 600+ Doubloons off of a Herc the other day and most PVP kills pay in doubloons if you loot them.  In order to get PVE doubloon drops, you have to go outside of your safe zone to hunt them and they don't always pay off, so I'm thinking the risk in hunting AI is higher than it used to be.  Besides, AI traders should be rich targets and make it easier to pay for those 1st rates that everybody is afraid of losing.

And travel in convoy with escorts, please.

Certainly, a percentage of them should be escorted and even some very tough nuts to crack.  We still need the singletons though, as not everybody can take on a group.  Resources, mods and books should be easier to acquire IMO, so that players can more easily participate in what makes this game great...Killing each other.

speaking in historical values, in a first stage the 1 doubloon (two escudos) was equal to 32 reales (4 reales of eight). But later two types of doubloons were known:

-doubloon of fourth, equal to 64 reals (8 reals out of eight)

-doubloon of eight, equal to 128 reals (16 reals of eight)

Traders should always carry some ship mats like logs, iron ore, hemp or repairkits. In addition maybe trade goods. I would also like to see trader carrying long guns or other rare guns. Mayby a few doubloons, but not more than 100 per ship.

Books and mods should only drop from warships. If you fight a superior enemy they shall be more and better than fighting an inferior one.

They deliver the resources to the ports. They are the euro traders. IF they deliver the resources why should they sail out with the resources they just delivered and not with almonds and hard coin ? :)

Maybe nail them en route to the port. I assure you you will get - white oak, love oak, teak, bermuda cedar, loads of oak, coal and iron.

And doubloons.
