Tronau
Hi all, sorry if this has been repeated. But is it possible that Sovereign of the Seas can be added. I know this ship was built in 1637. It was the lagest warship of the 17th century. Please see link. http://www.shippingwondersoftheworld.com/sovereign-seas.html THE FINEST MAN- OF-WAR OF HER TIME, the Sovereign of the Seas marked an important stage in the development of naval architecture. She was designed by Phineas Pett. On September 25, 1637

Mirones
not only to old but to much decoration the devs could make another 3 ships from scratch in the time it would take to finish her.
Robert Danforth
i think that is time to french ships!!! We actually have quite a few French ships, they just all happen to be captured by the British. Even one of the American ships we have was captured by the British. Alex Connor
what american ship was captured by the british? Constitution's sistership President was captured by a British squadron. Also the frigate USS Chesapeake, defeated in single combat by HMS Shannon, and the frigate USS Essex captured along with her sloop Essex Junior by the British frigate HMS Phoebe and sloop-of-war HMS Cherub. We don't have Essex or Chesapeake yet but perhaps they will added. Essex had a notable run in the Pacific capturing British whaling ships before her own capture and Chesapeake was involved in the "Leopard-Chesapeake affair" where the British 4th rate HMS Leopard ordered Chesapeake to hand over British deserters, then fired on Chesapeake and forced her surrender when Chesapeake did not comply, this was one of the major events leading up to the War of 1812. OTMatt
To make more diversity i recomend some "rare" ships: HMS Endeavour exploration ship of James Cook: http://www.modelnet.pl/all_products/10/p/1497 Merchant brig Portsmouth: http://www.modelnet.pl/all_products/10/p/1109 Medterrain Polacca type vessel used by Venzia to protect Adriatic trade routes also carry some cargo: http://www.modelnet.pl/all_products/10/p/1227 These 3 are pretty cool looking. Need more like this in the 14-24 gun range.
Pricklyhedgehog
Apologies if already mentioned, but what about Dutch ships of the period?
Cdr.ODon
Some Austrian 'Donau Fregattes', or Danube Frigates, and galleys. Could be interesting to see some in the Adriatic if it is eventually in the open world.
Mirones
Apologies if already mentioned, but what about Dutch ships of the period? dont worry they will come they try to bring as many nation ships ingame as possible but there are so many wonderfull ships that its hard to deside where to start i cant blame the devs. you can still look for plans in the archiev or other places to help the devs.

FoxxyNL
Since the Dutch were French in this era, we are lacking ideas, but wouldnt it be nice to have the Admiraal Evertsen? SteelSandwich
Since the Dutch were French in this era, we are lacking ideas, but wouldnt it be nice to have the Admiraal Evertsen? (1808) http://www.maritiemdigitaal.nl/index.cfm?event=search.getdetail&id=120027827 It was a beauty!! All plans are available! The time frame of this game as a whole is 1680-1820, of which 1795+ is the french period in the Netherlands. So that gives a proper 100 years of our own designed ships to put into the game. FoxxyNL
Okay, didn't know that ! Most of the ships I saw in youtube etc are from 1750 - younger, but this is great news for me ,since the Dutch built beautiful ships in the time before that ! Anyways, passed 1700 the Dutch built also great ships, but most of those ships are forgotten ... I also are looking for paintings/drawings from the Middelburg 1699 (one of the largest dutch ships (180ft) in that era, that never left the harbor due to insufficient fund to equip it ! ) And I am unable to find paintings/drawings from the Eendragt 100/106 (1703) Wich is classified as 1th Rate ship of the Line (wich is rare for Dutch standards due to shallow home waters) The Admiraal Evertsen also is a beauty ! FoxxyNL
Perhaps anyone can help me identify this Dutch threedecker model ? So we can search for her plans ? might be Westvriesland or De Unie or De Vrijheid ?
Arvenski
I reverse Google Image Searched it and found a website in Spanish that used that picture. The caption included this bit: "de la “clase” del Westfriesland" Now, my Spanish is kinda basic, but literally translated, I'm pretty certain that means "of the class of the Westfriesland." So, a Westfriesland-class ship. I hope that helps.
FoxxyNL
Actually, I found the same site Westvriesland (nowadays province north Holland) was an admirality these days, and a ship name. Only three-decker model preserved from those days (around 15 Dutch three-deckers were built) Might be the unie or the Vrijheid though! Gonna try to search for plans!
