  3. It is a big problem. ex. Get cheap grey Ships. Go attack and distract players who is trying to flip a port. Slowing down the process. Who cares if you loose grey ships? Make their life miserable.
  4. Hey guys, I've put together some ideas and created a rough picture of how I would like to see Naval Action UI. 1. Animated ship parked outside port. 1 port for each nation. Nation flag across the whole top panel. 2. Interactive icons around the ship. Paint, Guns, Cargo. Move your mouse over to see details and info. -Click on Paint Icon and it will open all unlocked/locked paint themes. Collect them all! Paint your ship and see how it looks right from the paint window. -Guns, click on guns icon and go right to the shop that should only display few types of guns that can be fit on your ship. Quick and easy. -Cargo, click on cargo icon to access your cargo hold. New Window pop up. ------------------- Captain Portrait, Rank, XP, Interactive Ship Stats. (Thickness, HP, BR all needs to be here)! Mod icons for easy mod customization. (New mod window pops up when you click on mod icons). Port Name, Game Settings Button should be placed in the corner as well. (Not shown). Time/date should be added as well. Chat - Show/Hide (optional) Port details Icon (not shown) Port, Warehouse, Missions, Economy - all these provide access to new customized and organized windows with new wallpapers, no animation here necessary. Docked ships, nice and clear ship icons of all parked ships. More ship slots, expand/hide button to keep all ships nice and organized. Compare ships tool. This tool compares stats. Player Gold amount with icon in the top corner. Set sail - enter open world. I hope this will help Devs Create the new fresh look that will make Naval Action easy to understand. This is a quick sketch and only made to show ideas. Developers can always refine this into a masterpiece. My suggestion is to use carved wood and gold everywhere possible. Beautiful sword handle knots under buttons. Please post feedback and suggestions. Thanks.
  5. Yeah, but risky as well. If you decide to load 3 ships with materials and get attacked it will hurt bad. The thing is this option should be available I think.
  6. In addition to that cargo hold should be based on how many ships are in your control or Main Ship + 2 NPC Fleet Ships = x3 cargo hold. Where is it Devs? Why we have 2 NPC ships with Empty hold sailing next to us, and people have to dump cargo overboard?
  7. So, I got a new member in my clan recently. We created a group and started heading to his 1st mission. Anyway, on the way there he spotted a Lynx (Contraband) and attacked it. We were close to each other in the circle. He was in a Cutter I was in a Rattlesnake, what happened was little sad to see. He auto locked the battle and left me outside. I will say no more. I am only testing game mechanics. How can this design promote player base and group OS NPC hunting? Is this a problem? or no. You decide.
  8. I think when something like this happens system should bounce the smaller ship 1-2 meters from larger one in order to prevent the slow down and turn. Something is not right with ship weight and wind force.
  9. It is possible, I witnessed it with my own eyes. 2nd rate was moving at 90 at medium speed, when Surprise got next to it and started the push. Eventually 2nd rate ended up dead in the wind. I did notice speed drop as well when ships are pushing each other. it did not look like he wanted to go close haul, but Surprise kept pushing him and ended up crossing the T.
  10. And we appreciate your feedback. Everything is being read by the Dev team.
  11. Dear Devs, in last few days I was in couple of fights and in each one I noticed that a small Corvette Ship -Surprise can easily push 2nd rate Buc. and turn it into the wind, so it becomes crippled. Now I know you are building close to real mechanics game, but is this reality? or I am just being picky. Can such small ship be able to push that massive beast? what if 2nd rate is pushing Surprise to the opposite side? Who should win the push game? Imho definitely not the Surprise. Such trick is being abused on daily basis by gankers vs Large SOLs. They go side by side and slowly start turning the ship. If so, I suggest you to review the weight and force.
  12. You can not point fingers if you don't have a firm evidence. Unfortunately this applies to the real world we live in today as well.
  13. Your imagination impresses me. You must be ready and set for Easter. In some I agree with you, unfortunately eggs would get spoiled on long ship journeys. Similarly to certain people who spoil these forums. Loot Chest would work better I assume and yes they should carry rewards like many already said it on Forum and Steam Discussion. Let's see if Devs notice them .
  14. Indeed it's a clear offence to their Nation, but what if they stashed something more valuable in their holds? P.S. I never suggested removing a risk or punishment, but simply increasing entertainment in these dark times.
  15. Hello, I did a small research on contraband and realized how much fun it would be if we could add such mechanics to the game. Yes, we do have a line of red Text saying 'contraband goods' under NPC information, but it's too simple. First of all, Contraband even today is well hidden. Right now in Naval Action Contraband goods are stored in hold and easily reachable. Simply kill an NPC and get an illegal goods. Where is the fun in this? Nowhere. So, here is what I suggest Developers to do. Keep everything as it is, but when players kill an NPC carrying contraband goods they should get a button called 'search the hold'. Such button should only be available on Contraband NPCs. According to history and facts Merchants stashed quick silver or other illegal goods inside actual cargo casks, boxes or even hid them around the ship (inside sugar, flour). Simply, have default goods as they are on regular Traders, but when players done fighting and exit to info screen add 'search the hold' button. This button is a roulette with a small chance to find hidden rare goods when pressed with 1 minute search timer. Such system makes gameplay more interesting, it requires players to keep hunting and if they do so they will get rewarded handsomely. Interesting gameplay is the key to success. I know this idea will end up like others on the bottom of the forum, but just in case Devs see it, it might help them. Thanks.
  16. Check how fast 1st rate fleet is sailing downwind. It's quite fast unless you see it as normal. I understand light ships, but 1st rates?)) 6-5 rates - fast 4-3 rates somewhat slow 1-2 rates - slow This will feel more realistic I think.
  17. Revert NPC OS speed back to what it use to be, nice and slow. However keep Player OS travel speeds as they are or boost them slightly. I recently noticed that 1st rate Fleets sailing so fast it makes me laugh. Even when I spot an NPC sailing downwind from me it takes a while to race it, so I can catch it. Also, their fast travel speeds makes them vanish from areas where they should spend more time just in case they need to protect Traders. So, right now fleet purpose is broken due to their fast OS speeds. NPCs sailing too fast imho. Player OS travel speed needs little more boost 30-35knots should be the top. Question, was this done on purpose? or you guys forgot to separate NPC speeds from Players speeds? Thanks.

  19. Looks similar , but it's not the same ship. It has hull of a 3rd rate compared to Wapen as compact 4th rate.
  20. Build the highest quality possible to get the best bonus.
