  1. You telling me splinters were cleaned up during the battle? The whole point of this post is to push more realistic textures during weather or battle conditions and not after battle chores.
  2. You are right, but if they do have an art team member then he should look into it.
  3. Is it me or all ships look too clean? Especially ship decks. They are way too clean and lack good nice texture. We are talking about ships made of wood, it goes through years of punishment at sea. Come on it can't be that clean. I am suggesting Developers to add 3 basic textures to ship decks that will transition based on environment. 1. Mostly clean, some worn out wood texture on the edge and corners. Replace what we have now. 2. Dark//Wet look only appears when rain starts and decks get wet. Visible small puddles with reflection. 3. Dirty/Splinters, this texture should appear when player is damaged and in battle. More texture on decks will make ships look more alive. They look too flat now.

We are not comparing pros and cons, all I asked was why 2006 game can handle more items in the game vs NA 2017 that can't even add loot, structures or extra ship slots because they are afraid it will ruin performance. Now they asking to limit structures to 25. It's obvious that Unity can't handle it all or they can't figure out how to program **** in it.
  5. How come Potbs could hold 2500 players, have tons of buildings, loot items and billions of resources, ships etc stockpiled and they were able to run everything ok. We are talking game from 2006. Naval Action runs on a much more sophisticated engine and since I remember you are crying about too many items will make game unstable. I can't get it, is Unity engine that shi** or you guys need a good expert. You are building MMO and now you are trying to limit econ? This idea doesn't belong in public. 1. You can't limit econ just for 25 players (this will be the end of your Game) 2. You can't limit econ, but you can give bonus to first come first earned it. The rest can get it, but without bonus. Explained: -Those who participated in PB get 'Advanced' Structure permits. -Those who screened/participated will get a bundle with one time resources. -Those who did not participate can still build structures, but with no production bonus and very low 'default' rate.

  7. PvP marks ---> Ship Notes (The only source of notes). 10 PvP marks=1 Note. Make PvP marks trad-able. Done. I do agree that these notes drop from nowhere and this whole ship crafting system needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.
  8. This whole development thing looks like you guys are building a wall from mud and pray it won't rain tomorrow. I think I know what 'Pray' button does now.
  9. No idea what Devs have in mind, but they are missing key elements to 1 dura ship system. 1. Dura stacking with player crafted ship only. 2. After player is killed he should be able to pick what outpost he should respawn into. 3. Economy adjustment and full cash wipe. 4. Dock space expansion. did I miss something?
  10. It saves time. When you are killed you will be teleported to the nearest port with 0 ships in it, but your friends still fighting and having fun while you are out of the game for some time until you get to your next ship. or am I wrong? With multiple duras stacked you can get back into action when needed right away. I thought Devs mentioned this long time ago, they want non stop Action. Unfortunately Devs suggesting this - get sunk spend 2 hours sailing to your next battle ready ship. In other words there will be no PvP with such system in place. It takes too much time. Personally, I don't want to sit for 1 hour watching waves and waiting to get to my next 1 dura boat just so I can go PvP again. Nope.
  11. That is why I am suggesting durabilities stack system. You stack duras before you go pvp. 2m for a frigate?
  12. I think Developers should make ship durabilities stack. This will produce more demand for Crafters and easier life PvP players. Less time spend refiting the ship, more time in action.
  13. My only concern is Devs might hurt new players and leave them without their hard earned boats grounded. I think Developers should provide a simple battle ready 1 dura ship for all low lvls and simple 1 dura frigate for all other levels. Why? because you don't wan't to ground all players in ports looking for ships. Instead give them a simple Frigate and Rattler to start with. Leaving players with 0 boats will trigger anger in our brains and might even result in 'I don't want to invest anymore time in this.' Those without cash will be hurt the most. Cutter means hard work and many hours for those new guys to get into something better. Another option is to give cash bonus to all players. What do you say?
  14. I don't think it will be an instant problem after the next patch. All ships will be wiped. 1 dura ships are introduced. 1 dura means they will be in quick sink and rebuild rotation. Also, many ships were given away for free as rewards and that resulted in overcrowded docks. I myself have 4 outposts filled with ships and couple still as gifts. However, this does not mean that NA doesn't need ship slot expansion as an option, it actually needs it badly. Because as we know over time we will end up in the same mess. You will ask why? we have 2 types of players. One is PvP and another is PvE. PvP will go through ships very quickly and they only need the ships that work the best for them (fast, powerful and port battle ships), as for PvE they are more focused on safe sailing and ship collection gameplay. Developers should be able to realize this by now and introduce more ship slots.

  16. That is unfortunate. They could make tons of $$$ from them. You get the same feeling if you join the military. many can't take it.
  17. They mentioned new figureheads, so I am sure new paint will be added as we go. I want to see new sail textures. From ugly to nice and clean. I think it's simple enough to implement.
  18. Didn't they say to stockpile materials? This means: 1. Scrap ship for materials, so you can craft another one after wipe more easily. 2. Don't scrap ship for materials and loose all. I think it's self explanatory. N1 is a requirement before the wipe. Scrap them all boys, they will be deleted soon. I wish there was a 'blowup' button for OS with nice fireworks.

  20. The biggest problem of this game is that Devs do not explain patches well. This not only hurts them, but also hurts their player base. They get angry, players get angry and chaos begins. It's like they shoot themselves in their leg while trying to run. If they only could release 'patch notes for dummies' it would fix many problems here and it would save you time typing all this text.   22. Some of this is true, unfortunately we have to work with what we have. We have to help Devs out, since it is a very chaotic development for this young team. There is nothing we can do about it. Everyone has their own ways on how to approach development. Some work better some work worse. We can not rate them high, but we can give them credit for unstoppable work in trying to fix things and deliver the product. They listen to most of our ideas and many already in the game. I won't judge until game release, but I will help them as much as possible. My final Rating will land on their company name after It's officially released there is no escape from that.
  23. That's why they need to add such items to Trade. It will be ok then. If I got 2 mods I will sell one on the market and so on. Mod drop rates will be tuned as we play I hope.
