  1. sorry for sarcasm beforehand. anyways, mirror is a surface you can reflect yourself. again, sorry, had few beers and could not help it. (not directed to the op)
  2. Luckily I used the word unbelievable in the post But lets see how it goes Captains Fair winds
  3. To Rediii Complete disagreement. Idea of splitting servers is only serving small minority who is trying to force others to play at the same time as they do. It is blatantly unfair and I find it unbelievable that this is not seen by the players who support it. Everybody should have the right to play the same game same way regardless of time or location. Idea of a server limited portbattle times is deadborn. not only now you are alienating completely players from outside of europe. And of top of that you are alienating players from INSIDE europe who cannot play at the same time as you do. So for the fairness and equality to ALL this should not happen. This is very simple o7
  4. 1) Sail closer or get better spyglass(es). florescent lights are for other things. not in the the historical time frame apart from possibly deep sea creatures -> you have already sunk. 2) dont know
  5. with love and respect captain MrDoomed. You seem to be slightly focusing on this pirate hunting/ganking aspect. This is not modern tracking device or whatever you call it. Fact is that ports knew what ships sailed in to the harbor most of the time. Also these kind of small additions to the game would give it character, give the port character and players that have seen visiting it. It would make it feel more alive. Which would be good for attracting new players to the game. Now, with pirates, it is true that they might sneak in in the middle of the night and not leave a record of the visit. Still doubt if said ship purchased repairs or supplies it would go unnoticed. Or if did it should pay premium for services rendered and maybe entrance fee. just think it would be very good addition o7
  6. Definitely should be added. Harbourmaster(?) would write down ships that have docked and the nationalities in real life as well. As for the pirates (and ordinary sailors as well), now they wont stay away from the tavern, will they? Wrong. I can think of many uses for this. -trading (port is quiet -> good place to buy stuff. busy -> good chance to sell stuff) -trader hunting (which ports do they use. "this port gets a lot of indiaman traffic, must be something worthwhile here. me wants it") -war (which ports enemy uses for missioning, where are they going to prepare they attack from etc,) -Bounty hunting! Maybe the most fun use of it! We already have bounty lists on forums (hopefully still operational). This could be used to actually track down and pinpoint the routines of said target and actually find him with much less randomness and luck. And it would feel like proper bounty hunting. One could make a career out of it! So, idea would be great addition to the game!
  7. Hello! Would be appreciated if it would be stated a day or two in advance when the hotfix hits. If not, I can live with it
  8. Ah, our beloved spanish allies. always making some kind of demands from others. I guess we have to love the ones who know to demand what they deserve... . . . NOW, dutch are beaten enough. GET YOUR ASS back to CUBA so we all can storm jamaica before port wipe.
  9. heh, maybe time stop being smart-ass otto. you're making a good clans threat look bad
  10. Sooo... as a interested spectator I must say that dutch have the knack for diplo-treaty making business. congrats! Just cant help but wonder where are we going to have wars/battles now? since practically all interesting pvp areas are under treaties. Pirates? are they now our only option for battles? for all nations? after they have been reduced to "sweden-like" size already? And if the answer is controlled pvp areas, well, that sounds like a pile of monkey toss to me. I thought the whole map was for that. *spectator return to spectating*
  11. With love and respect. It seems to me that whole treaty was written on french terms. All were (other nations at least) bored of the war because of mechanics. French would not accept peace without no-PvP on their home waters. Both swedes and dutch agreed because they did not want the war to begin with. You're reason was that you wanted to attack brits which you hate. So no PvP at your home (does any other nation have this?). All suffered from the same bugs and mechanics. So then you attack the brits, do well at the beginning and then hit a pump and are pushed down to 2 ports on the south side of la espagniola(?) and now are saying that you might stop RvR. And in between taking the Rosaly from swedes by rogue clans (true or not. lets play its true). My question is what can the rest of the community do, to make french happy and enjoy the game without all the time complaining about something? And I raise my hat to french captains I have fought. Large majority have been polite, excellent captains and been fun to fight against. Good winds
  12. heh, salty liquorice... there might be real stuff around somewhere, and it aint sweet...
  13. I also remember the time that those were french ports. Dutch captured them fair and square, like you said, ~3 moths ago. its a long time to stake a claim. Also during the swede-dutch war dutch defended them bravely, and in the end, succesfully. In my mind especially pampatar was the real start of dutch territory. I would respect they claim on these ports. On the other hand. st; george is a very good port that has not been controlled properly by french for long periods of time for quite a while. to me this would be a good boundary for peace. Ports more south, puerto espana etc. seem like an area that could be used as bargaining chip. My point being that if dutch are offering peace with st. george included those seem like fair terms. This coming from swedish captain that does not partake in any politics. just shooting stuff and sinking a lot Good winds to all captains
  14. For me this has been a enjoyable war against respectable and admirable opponent. No salt needed hopefully on either side.
