  1. Have had a copy of it for years... I love it.
  2. Brandenburg was not a naval power at all... At least Sweeden was. Also we don't need more nations.
  3. If I play with a group and Iam in trouble I tell the others with our TS or I can use the chat. Did Nelson have up-to-date information on his other ships? No. If you want to know the status on other ships, use the spyclass and look at it. That is how it should be done. TS at least require you to communicate.
  4. HUD - voted NO. This is not modern warfare or EVE online. Captains back then didn't run things from the CIC... If you want that info look at the ship or look at the map.(that allready got too much info)
  5. Problem is not the number of US ships... but the low number of ships for the other nations. The other nations all had bigger navies than the US... That makes them way more important than the US if you want to cover this period in naval history... and that is what the webpage say they want. Also the simple fact that the US only existed for the last part of the period this game try to cover makes it a clear case of money beats history... The number of ship models should reflect that... But atm they are clearly more interested in pandering to US players, than providing a representative collection of ship models.
  6. Show very well the absurdity of the high number of US ships in the game... The Constitution I can understand since that was a rather special design... but no good reason for selecting US ships for the other ship classes... other than pandering to US playerbase at the expense of history.
  7. Last one - Way to easy to exploit - and how do you deal with the fact that some ports have different owners on different servers?
  8. Ships really should not sink that often... they should just surrender when the damage reach a specific point.
  9. The arms race (in regard to being able to make the ships) will be gone in a few weeks and never come back... So unless they plan to reset maps and crafting xp after release there is no reason to factor that in.
  10. Still don't solve it.... Since different nations got access to different towns... and as such some nations have a lack of one type of goods and some nations might have a lack of another...

  12. Yes it is... but the price of a ship need to be balanced with the income you get from playing. And when NPCs sell ships at fixed prices they make it hard to earn money on shipproduction and you risk players not making ships... since they risk loosing money on it.
  13. making the LH count across characters would solve that... But there is still the issue of the availability of goods.
  14. Why not make it available in all towns? This should not allow the sales to other nationalities.
  15. I dont use it and got no issue with it getting removed... and I expect it will be removed at some point when the bug reporting tool is updated. What i do have an issue with is your attitude... You give a good game a bad review and call for a boycott because of a bug report system... Really, if you don't like it, then don't use it... and accept that the game is fare from finished.
  16. If a bug reporting tool ruin the game for you... please just go away and stay away. You will not be adding anything good to this game. Also you have no way to know how many players actually know about the coordinates and how many use them.

  18. this is an MMO... earlier we had the ability to hire bigger AI ships... and it din't work. Want an escort, ask a friend.

  20. The basic idea is good. But would change it from "attacking" to some system that require serious damage done and factor in the BR of the attacked ship. So attacking a basic ship and just firing a few shot should not have the same effect as sinking a SOL. So attacking new players if rather ineffective compared to hitting the enemy SOLS sailing around. And attacking players should be more effective than hitting AI. And factor in the BR of the attacker so fair fights are more effective than unfair fights.. This also makes it harder to exploit the system with secondary accounts.
  21. Then you should read a book about the period. Blockading the ports owned by the enemy was the norm... it was basically done all the time during wares... if at all possible. And this was at the core of the reason for the British attack on Copenhagen in 1801... breaking up the armed neutrality League. A number of battles during he period was direct attempts to break blockades.
  22. Teleport between outposts, but not with the ships. Add a teleport to port that send you to one of the nearest x ports... so if you are horrible lost you get get a fixpoint.
  23. should not give any xp or gold otherwise too easy to exploit. (and not cost anything)
  24. It cost way more to damage you friends than similar damage done to en enemy...
